*Knock Knock*, it's the Slaver demon!

5/5

This has been hands-down my favorite medium miniature. The paint job is excellent, and the sculpt detail is superb. It's not fragile at all, even being dropped down a flight of stairs with no damage. I use a lot of minis for my games, but the Slaver Demon is my go-to guy for medium sized bosses.

Thin at the base

2/5

This is the only model I've ever had that snapped right out of the box. I've had models break before, sure, but this one broke the moment I took it out, the legs were so thin.

Excellent Model

5/5

I absolutely love the model, it's not too thin in any spots and has a solid pose, yet the scythe makes it easily distinguishable from all the other humanoid models I use. The paint leaves a bit to be desired, but I've come to expect that from all prepainted minis so I don't dock a star for that. I finally have a non-farmer mini to use for my scythe-wielding characters!

An excellent adition to anyone's pathfinder comic collection.

4/5

I'm not a large fan of 'stand-alone' comics, as I feel that only a few pages are often not enough to tell a story that will entice me to purchase a comic, and for half of this collection that holds true. However, the Red Sonja and King of the Goblins issues saved this otherwise-skipable special. I'm a huge fan of Red Sonja and a sucker, so I'll of course scoop up anything that has her name attached to it, regardless of quality, but I was happily surprised to find her special entertaining. Sonja using a gun is not something I ever expected to see, so it was a welcome addition.

Now, Goblins have always been a major selling point to me for many Pathfinder products, and the King of the Goblins issue delivers unto its' reader the wonders of temporary chiefdom. Everyone's favorite magus returns, up to no good again, but his wickedness is vastly overshadowed by the surprise appearance of *guitar riff* DRACULA. Ok, so it's Vlad the Impaler, but for me it's close enough. This was the best issue out of the entire collection, well-written, good art, and good balance between action and humor.

The others...are rather bland on their own, and I feel like they could have easily been put elsewhere, but I'm not one to complain about it. If you have a chance, pick this up!

Do goblins even know what a 'bank' is?

4/5

This great goblin came in some time ago, and I think it warrants a review:

Pros:
This guy looks great on any collectors' shelf. It's been wonderfully painted and has a delicious attention to detail, capturing that malicious, mischievous goblin nature. You almost don't want to put coins into this guy for fear that he won't return them!

This piece is also a bit larger than I expected, which is always a plus.

Cons:
Well, first and foremost, it didn't come with a stand (as depicted in the picture). This wasn't a problem as it stands well enough on its' own.

There was also the nature of the 'bank' itself; there's not a whole lot of room inside this thing, which is why I docked a star in the rating at all. At most, I can fit only a few dollars' worth of quarters in this thing. Again, since it makes a delightful display piece (and, let's face it, that's what you're gonna use it for), that's not a problem.

On a side-note, I was rather disappointed that the die that this guy is carrying doesn't detach for your use, but that can be written off as the Goblin simply not wanting to let go of the darn thing.

Overall: I recommend this piece to anyone looking to liven up a room, store some loose change, or go to sleep at night terrified of having a goblin wreck the place.

Best piece in my collection so far!

5/5

I've gotta say, when I pulled this bad boy out of the box, I was ecstatic! It positively towers over all of my other minis, and it has an exceptionally well-done paint job to boot!
