Wanting to kill a little time before going upstairs, Relan encourages the group to go back to the first construct fight in the first room of the house and harvest parts from those two constructs. Might as well get one of you to cast Detect Magic and lets give the downstairs a good going over before going up stairs. At this point whoever is up there certainly knows we are down here and have had ample time to prepare. Perhaps some of that preparation will expire.

The mirror still radiates magic that Vuloo can't place and the party finds a small locked coffer. The halfling leafs through the papers which mostly cover various purchases demanded by Berkanin’s experiments, including the sourcing of several expensive components by someone named Dakar.

Catwalk

When spotted the strange flying woman shrieks loudly and brings to bear her bow as she flies off the wall hovering behind the corner as cover.

Description:
A feral looking winged woman with clawed feet wielding a vicious looking bow leans out from behind the western wall of the northern tower, making a poor attempt to hide. She is quite the sight, as beneath a leather breastplate armor the she has taken to wearing a patchwork of clothing items ranging from a torn evening gown to mismatched stockings and a large, exotic hat. Andel identifies her as a harpy

The harpy hisses back at Nalar speaking with a slur as if she has something in her mouth, "Ardocsh wouldn't come here and kill the guardiansh. They'd know the passwordsh and be on the guardiansh no harm lisht!"

Sense Motive DC17:
You see her eyes dart to the door to her left for a moment in rabid fear. The sort a mother has for her child or a man for his spouse

She reaches for another set of arrows as Braelex lights her up, but the alchemist bolt skitters off the building in front of her, leaving a sizzling sear.

Relan and others?

Nalar, technically protection from arrows wouldn't hold here since she's using a magic bow, but since it is such a situational spell and I applaud your use, I'll make a minor house rule that the arrows themselves must be magical. If I forget in the future, feel free to correct me.

Good question, fly lasts 8 minutes. Since you guys spent time searching the downstairs before this fight, I'm going to rule that it has expired by now. Flew up, fought the plants, fought the terra cotta soldiers, fought the tupilaq ... searched the rooms downstairs and up ... surely took more than 8 minutes.

Relan moves across the catwalk quickly entering the other tower and coming up near a door, out of danger from the archer's arrows.

(Acrobatics DC12 to move through or stay upright while on it. Failure means you fall prone. You will be flatfooted if you remain on the catwalk at the end of your turn even if you make the Acrobatics roll)

So, even with Reach Relan cannot reach the harpy? When I moved I was thinking that he could. Otherwise he might have pulled his bow. That never seems to work out well though. lol.

Thyrl lets out a cry of alarm as Nalar is turned into a pin cushion, his wards straining under the assualt. In a hurry it lays on paws it's master as Nalar casts his spell.

[Ooc]Perhaps you thought there was some sort of landing? The haroy is using the corner of the building as cover. There is a wall and ceiling between her and Relan. If he wishes to hit her he would have t step back out on the catwalk. She would have cover but he could hit her.

The door opens on its own and standing in front of Braelex is a thin, fit female humanoid wearing leathers and a brace of daggers. She is covered in yellow fur and had strong feline features. She purrs and smiles and moves back to the east inside the hallalway beyond and just past a door to the south.

As the harpy shrugs off his magic Nalar hisses in frustration as his wounds stitch thanks to Vuloo's magic. "And who the hells are you!" Nalar shouts down the catwalk at the cat folk before tamping down on his anger. "Sorry, listen we're with the Ardocs. Can you please talk some sense into your friend, we're not here to hurt anyone if we don't have to." He calls out, doing his best to sound friendly despite the arrows in his chest.

Not liking the idea of entering the cat woman's den, invited or now, Relan takes a moment to Haste himself before stepping 5' closer. We do not wish to be your enemy. he states holding his weapon ready but not advancing further. We came for the troll.

Nalar once again tries the diplomatic approach, and the rest of the party postures but the feline woman scoffs, "Right, all friends and hugs once you've entered our home unannounced and uninvited with weapons out. My friend doesn't like you ..."

She reaches out and rips the door to the south open, "... I don't like you!"

Erupting from the room is a ball of tiny little spider-like creatures ... constructs actually that swarm forward and out over Relan and Braelex, pinching and cutting.

Provokes an AoO from Relan

Relan and Braelex each take 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8 damage and need to make a DC12 Fort Save or contract filth fever and a DC14 Fort Save or be nauseated.

The harpy rushes back up and fires an arrow at Relan in red-faced anger.

OK. I might not have hasted if I had known that. Will still felling smash, trip and AOO but will move out of the swarm if that is ok. Also, did the AOO against the swarm seem to harm it?
