Announced! Cover image is a mockup and subject to change.

Glad this is coming out, but I'm betting the actual release is November.

However, I am looking forward to this release. Thanks for posting, Liz.

I sure hope this will have some brown people to add to my collection for a change.

Liberty's Edge

This looks very cool!

The pawns need to come out earler, maybe after the second book. At the rate we're going, we'll be done running the Mummy's Mask before the pawns are released!

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber

Given that Paizo uses art from the AP for the Pawns & they don't get all the art that quickly, pretty sure that's never going to happen. As has been stated in the past when other people have made similar statements regarding previous AP's.

Lantern Lodge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

What previous pawn collections do I need to own in order to have the complete set necessary for the Mummies Mask Adventure Path? Do I need to buy EVERY Beastiary Pawn set in order for their to be every needed relevant pawn or just select ones?

Liberty's Edge

How have previous AP pawns worked? Have they included everything you need to run the AP in sufficient numbers, or do you need to supplement AP pawns with other material?

Usually unless there's a ton of the monsters in an AP, it it's in the Bestiary boxes it won't be in the AP set.

Liberty's Edge

Do the bestiary boxes have any/many multiples? Like if Mummy's Mask 1 has a fight with two huecuvas, do I need to buy two Bestiary Boxes for the pair, in addition to the Mummy's Mask pawns?

Silver Crusade

Pathfinder Maps, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

All the Bestiary boxes have pawn lists on their product pages :) Mummy's Mask pawn set will have the list a little closer to release date. :)

And it looks like Bestiary 3 has two Huecuvas.

Thanks!

Say, why is this and the other Adventure Path Pawns listed under Pathfinder RPG in the webstore, alongside Core Rulebook and such, instead of in their respective Adventure Path categories?

They are listed in multiple locations, actually (including the AP category if relevant). But the Pawns were originally tagged with the "Pathfinder RPG" logo, so some are there, while others are in the Pawns category.

Liberty's Edge

Okay, now that you made me check, it appears that WotR Pawns are indeed listed under their AP category as well, but RoW and MM are not. What's the logic behind that? What makes WotR Pawns relevant but RoW and MM not?

Is it intentional that they also remain in the RPG category? I don't see the logic behind that.

I probably missed adding them to their respective categories.

They remain there because of ties to the Bestiary and Codexes, but I'll do some rejiggering.

Liberty's Edge

Nifty! Thank you and sorry if this heaps extra work on an already busy day. My OCD just couldn't stop complaining. :(

Updated product image and description to final, added set list.

Looks like a great pawn collection. Thanks for updating. I'll be buying a few boxes (I just ordered 7 boxes of Reign of Winter pawns).

Liberty's Edge

Why would you need that many?

Maybe Winter is Coming, complete with an invading army of cold-themed monsters?

Why is item 18 partially in bold print?

Bad HTML. It's been fixed.

Samy wrote:

Because it's my favorite pawn box. The scale is pretty congruous. The art is fantastic, and the character assortment is superb.

I think Paizo is putting out a Monster Codex Pawn collection next year sometime in the spring or early summer. It's mainly because people want to run campaigns against bigger armies of different creatures - the primary reason I'm going with so many Reign of Winter pawn boxes.

You nailed it.

Liz, do you know when they're shipping this one out early for subscribers?

Thanks for anything information you can offer.

No earlier than what we usually do for subscribers—we should begin authorizing and shipping this week.

Do any of the named NPCs in this set represent gnolls besides the obvious "gnoll slavers"?

No, gnolls do not have much of a role in the Mummy's Mask Adventure Path.

Scarab Sages

So, got it and my favorite part is finding the commonly encountered Whiptail Centipede in a set...finally. My only disappointment is we need another Ankheg as we are encountering them in many adventures in pairs (Skulls and Shackles 1 and MM 3). Still it was most welcomed set and will serve me well as I run the campaign.

Liberty's Edge

I just realized that this may be the only Pawns that provides such a basic creature as the beetle?

I have purchased the Mummy's Mask Pawn set and have noticed that both sides have just the front view of the creatures. shouldn't one side be the front view and the other side a back view to keep players from getting confused as to which direction the creatures are facing?

Sovereign Court

Pathfinder Starfinder Adventure Path Subscriber

No, because Pathfinder doesn't use facing, so both sides have the same art as to easily identify what the creature is without having to turn it.

Dark Archive

This set contains 182 pawns:

-22 small
-116 medium
-34 large
-10 huge

Just started using this product. Have to admit I'm surprised how many of the creatures from the AP, at least the first volume, are not available as pawns in this package. I would have expected anything non-generic to be a pawn such as a skeletal jackal.
