Shutter the windows. Bolt the doors. Lock up the hounds. For the goblins are on the hunt tonight, dogslicers at the ready, and the streets of Sandpoint are not safe for man nor beast!
This piece of granite features artwork by Wayne Reynolds from the very first Pathfinder Adventure Path volume, "Burnt Offerings" from Rise of the Runelords! These creepy, dog-hating, fire-loving, needle-toothed goblins have been a fan favorite ever since they were first introduced and now you can show them off in this limited edition collector's item!
Includes display stand and Certificate of Authenticity. Plaque is 7 3/8" by 5 1/2".

According to the completely-unfalsifiable cardstock certificate of authenticity, I am one of only 250 people in the whole galaxy to own Pathfinder Granite Art: Goblins. Too bad so sad, would-be # 251! You can't have my hand-sized granite plaque of the iconic Wayne Reynolds art of goblins on a rampage from the cover of the first issue of Rise of the Runelords! You'll never touch the two little plastic display stands that work perfectly fine to display the plaque! You'll never read the back of the box (it says "Shutter the windows. Bolt the doors. Lock up the hounds. For the goblins are on the hunt tonight, dogslicers at the ready, and the streets of Sandpoint are not safe for man nor beast."). You'll never feel its heft or see the sticker on the back indicating it was made in China. And I plan to be cremated with it, so you might as well try one of the other 249 owners* of this limited edition treasure, because you'll never get mine!
* A decade after this product was released, there are still copies available on the Paizo website.
If you are expecting a block of granite like a counter top this is not it. Its some sort of stone that looks like carbon to me. It was, in its state previous to the art, was broken into chips then highly compressed and flattened for the art area. It is still a beautiful piece with a good weight to it. I was just expecting solid granite. But then again with its price I probably shouldn't have. Its still worth it though so I do recommend it.
Lost 2 stars from the material.
EDIT I also noticed that I was not the first to post a review on this product, yet I have the certificate 1 of 250. Not sure about that? Why would I be #1 if I was at the very earliest the second person to buy it? Random thought.
I decided to go ahead and jump on this. The Goblin image really captures the essence of what I think Pathfinder is a great take on a long established tradition. This is a heavy piece of art. The Granite block has the chipped away effect at the edges with some of the color bleeding into it. The image has a sturdy coating on it. Touching it reminds me of the commemorative plate art that was once a staple of TV. This is probably the gamers equivalent of that. Price feels right for what this is. I would have liked the stand to be a little more sturdy. It's two plastic legs unattached but it works and wont scratch the art. There is also a mount included if you want to wall hang it. I'd like to see more of these perhaps the iconics. Adds a nice flair to your gaming den.
This will make a great gift for the guy who lets us game at his house, whilst eating him out of house and home and forgetting to pull the handle up on the toilet.
Looks like a nice piece to display in the game room...but I have a couple of cats that would simply love the chance to knock over and break something so pretty.

That's why the game room we're fitting out has doors that will be kept shut.
I'm only concerned with the weight, for those of us that live overseas. Still, it looks so awesome... and I do have that space on my shelf where it could go...
It's a bit small for a mouse pad, IMO. Just got mine today, it's pretty a great piece that I currently have sitting on the top shelf of my gaming desk. The stand should have been something a little more sturdy than two pieces of plastic for such a nice piece; at least add some grip to the bottom of them so they won't slide around so much. I can't help but worry it's going to get bumped off one of these days and I will be left with two half-as-nice pictures of the marauding goblins.
That being said, this is intended as artwork and not intended to see multiple uses or abuses. We urge caution if you chose to go outside of this items intended use.

Postage actually wasn't too bad. I bought this, and a bottle opener (and a sticker but I don't think that really counted for weight purposes...) and was charged $12.59, a lot less than I was expecting (although in saying that, the postage was half the cost of the products ordered). :)
Finally took the time to actually open my granit art, and let me just say WOW this is beautiful! I was even more amazed when I realized it came with a letter of authentication and that I have number 1 of 250! This is a great gift for any Paizo fan or collector.

I'm sorry I have to burst your bubble here, but they're not individually numbered. That is, it's "one of 250", but it's not "#1 of 250", if you see the distinction...
*cries* aww Vic. You just burst my bubble :( But thank you for sharing that information with me. Either way, this is a great collector's item, and looks amazing.
I'm honestly not sure Starfox.
The Rock itself would be fine. I'm not sure how the picture would go though. It's not painted on, it's a print (totally flat, glossy surface). I believe it would be fine, but that's just me having a guess, and I wouldn't want you to ruin your picture over my best guess.
