"Can you smell what Little Red is cook'en?"

Jigsaw McGraw stood, entire body tense, as the dragon landed before them. The half-orc licked his non-broken tusk as his friends tried to calm the wyrm from his chosen course of action. Something about burning down an entire village for not giving it a whole flock of sheep. That didn’t matter to Jigsaw, he was more interested in this new challenge. The defiant roar of the dragon made him smile, as he knew it would soon be his time to shine. Their wizard loosed bolts of arcane power, their fighter launched a volley of arrows, their cleric prepared people for battle. Jigsaw ran, full tilt at the dragon. He brought his hands up briefly to cover his eyes, as he ran through the cone of flame the dragon spat forth from it’s gaping maw. He reached his arms out tightening across the front muscles of the great beast, his body’s internal energy seeping into his skin and hardening it against the onslaught that would be awaiting him at the dragon’s scything claws. His friends continued to batter the beast as it tore into him with tooth and nail. Jigsaw strained every muscle in his body as he lifted and lifted and lifted. He held the dragon over his head and brought him down hard behind him, laying it down on top of its own wings. He had done it, he had suplexed the dragon.

4/5

I almost threw my keyboard at the wall just a minute ago. I wrote up a nice long 4 star review going in to great detail about this supplement and all of the awesome materials in it over the course of about 30-40 minutes, clicked submit.... and was redirected to the Paizo homepage. Everything was lost.

So, hopefully when I have time I can revisit this and add all that lost material back in, but let me just sum up by saying that this is a solid 4 stars bordering on 5, and anyone who's a fan of wrestling or adventures that are just a bit zany and doesn't have this, should really get it.

I'm pretty disappointed by the decision to give Wrestlers a ki pool.

No magic-wrestlers in my games, sorry.

I'm not disappointed by anything in this book. It effin rocks. You don't want Wrestlers to have a ki pool, give them an extra technique or two.

My one question is: Alley Oop! comes across as a setup move for some of the other anti-flying moves, but maintaining a grapple is a standard action. Are the other anti-air moves basically there mostly to handle actual flying creatures and Alley Oop! just has an opportunity if you manage to wreck their CMD and fling them way up there?

I'll get you the answer to that ASAP! Asking the designer now.

From the designer (Zerby):
"You can use leaping grapple as a standard action to leap up and grab them, particularly if you use alley oop after maintaining your grapple as a move action (with greater grapple) or as a swift action (With swift grappler from ultimate combat I believe)."

Any chance of additional support for these classes/systems?

We are working on a book called "Tome of Tomes" (working title obviously) that is slated to be released in the fall.

It has support for King of the Ring material in it.

Here is a link to a thread where we are talking about it Feral.

I have a question. This recently came up and I'm not sure how to rule on it: one of my players is playing a monk, he's at 3rd level right now. For 4th level he wants to multiclass into wrestler, he asked me since the monk already has improved unarmed strike as a class feature and the wrestler gets it at 1st level, would it be too much to combined the class features and just give him a +1 to attack with unarmed strike?
I figured I'd ask you guys. Thanks.

Nope. That's a good way to do it or just have it stack to a point.

Thanks, that really helps. My player will be happy and so will I since the next session I'm playing a similar character as his rival.
I can't wait to combine KoR with Dragon Tiger Ox and see what kind of awesomeness I can get out of it.
I'm still hoping for KoR 2, by the way.

don't worry, more wrestler love is on the horizon ;)

I love this product. The Hardcore is perfect for a Casey Jones build. I did have a question about Powerful Improvisation, as the wording is a little confusing. Does the damage increase to 2*(Weapon)+Unarmed?

Hi Darkstar,
To quote the designer:
"That was the original intention yes. Although looking back it should have been or "(whichever is higher)".
(I was young and impressionable)."

This product is a blast! Quick question: for the Rikishi's Kimarite ability he gets to push the opponent 5 feet for each attack he lands in a flurry of blows when he spends a ki point. Do you tally up the total number of times his flurry hit before moving the enemy, or does the movement happen when each blow connects. If it's the latter, it seems like the ability would be fairly hard to use since kimarite doesn't seem to include a mechanic to let you follow the opponent.

I'll try and get a review up for this in the next day or two, but I'm eyeballing the 4 star right now as a good fit :)

Sounds good. Let me hit up the designer on that and get you an answer. We've love a review :-)

So, I'm going to put up a much shorter, much less in-depth review, and hopefully when I have time I can revisit that idea, but let me just sum up by saying that this is a solid 4 stars bordering on 5, and anyone who doesn't have it should really get it.

So i totally love this supplement, seeing as how i am a pro wrestler and i play pathfinder. was wondering though if a kotr2 would ever be made or if anyother book would come out with more stuff for the wrestler class. if you guys need someone to help with the design i would gladly lend a hand

Hey, sorry for the delay (had to get my copy from our SVN).

One Armed Grapple, on page 10, says:
"The wrestler may use specific techniques against multiple creatures at the same time, these techniques are marked as “double”."

Thanks for the bump. I'll have to check this out!

Hey, I was wondering something since I'm going to be playing the wrestler in a game soon, The DC for techniques like Ankle Lock does that replace the DC for submissions?(10 + 1/2 wrestler level + the wrestler’s Constitution modifier or 5 + the user’s base CMB) I ask so that way I know I'm play the class right. please and thank you for your time.

I believe it does replace it but I don't have the product in front of me at the moment. I'll have to hunt down the designer (he's no longer with us) to give you an assured answer.
