I'll let you guy's keep asking questions if you have them and i think the payment was agreed upon. So when your ready to move out, let me know were and i'll set the scene for you
The woman shakes her head with a smile, None of the guards were injured severely, only minor injuries, we are also providing basic medical check up's to prevent disease outbreak's. But no the commander, his guards, and i were able to protect things for the most part.
Seka of the Silver Wings |
"That is good and well, Mistress. One last thing before we take our leave, is there a deed we must take for the property as proof of our ownership?"
Seka of the Silver Wings |
She nodded at word there would be no deed. "We have no need to watch the construction, mistress. We will see the property when it is completed. Thank you for your time." Seka politely inclined her head to the young woman and made to leave.

GM, what time is it in game? I thought we returned late and all tired/bone weary as we pressed on to get back to town...and it seems people want to go drinking. ;) I don't think Seka would go for drinks ...she'll hit the temple for answers and then find her bed as she rises at dawn to make her prayers/meditations and prepare spells.
"I will come to the temple for answers, but not for drinks. It has been a long trek to town and I would sleep over imbibe."
GM_IamZero000 |
Just to confirm, Seka is heading off to the temple to get rest. Meanwhile the guy's are going to the local smith and the temple to look at the shard's and then go get drinks? does that about sum it up? As an aside apologies the past few day's have been kind of hectic between getting sick, work, and in general the time of year.
Seka of the Silver Wings |
No. Seka will go with the males to the temple/blacksmith to get the shard looked at. Afterward, when the males go drinking she'll go get some food and then rest/sleep. Feel better soon, GM.
GM_IamZero000 |
You four should go get checked as well, you were also dealing with undead. She let's you all leave bidding you good night. You decide to head to the blacksmith first, in hopes of catching it before the shop closes.
Stepping form the deck of the mayor's ship home to the decks of the city, you feel more stable than you did. Nothing much has changed from when you went in to now, the cities pretty quiet, the star's in the sky are bright and shining. The walk through town is a short jaunt through the merchant district, you come to the shop Ammon's Armory. To your surprise the Forge is lit bright as day and active unlike most of the other shops around right now.
Seka of the Silver Wings |
She noted the Mayor's advice regarding getting a thorough examination after their dealings with the Undead. At the temple, once we are done with the blacksmith.
She moved with the others until they came to Ammon's Armoury.
"Good eve, Smithy," Seka steadily called forth unto the shop. "We seek your expert and discreet counsel on an item in our possession."

You walk in to the Smithy, the young man before you a pale skinned Tiefling, a tail happily swaying like that of a dog's, his hands and forearm's are scaled like's a dragons. He looks over to you all smiling, Sure, I'll do what i can, may i see the object?
Seka of the Silver Wings |
Seka waited as her two companions revealed their respective shards and looked to the Smithy, "What do you make of these?"

The smith takes one of the shards, a look of curiosity and wonder Follow me please he asks politely, moving quickly up a flight of stairs to what looks like a small library, the walls lined with books.
The Smith Ammon, takes one of the books off the shelf quickly scanning through pages. Aha, i knew i recognized metal like this. Ammon puts the book down on a table, pointing at a specific entry. Elysium, or at least a couple fragments of it. Both the metal and magic match what are described in the legends. He hands the Fragments back, closing the book be careful with those and whatever you do don't combine the shards if your looking to collect them. THe blade was broken for a reason.
Upon closer inspection you notice around 80% of the books in the room are myths, children stories, and fiction in general. The book Ammon currently holds reads Swords through the ages

She noted the Smithy's words not to unite the shards and reform the sword. When word turned to the reformed sword selecting its wielder, Seka silently pondered the meaning when she heard Zheng's question.
GM, any rolls we could make to know something about this holy sword?
GM_IamZero000 |
It's not really a big deal if you haven't heard about this you know, it's an old story... i'm kind of in to old stories about swords, weapons, most magical artifact's really. i can tell you a bit about what i know if you want,. If not i'm going to be getting to work, i usually work my forge at night.
GM_IamZero000 |
Long ago a holy blade was crafted that would eat the souls of those slain by it. originally it was crafted to fight demon, devils, and generally evil monsters that are normally difficult to put down.
This power lead to the corruption of the blade and it's wielder eventually. In turn another blade was crafted to destroy it.
This event lead to the death of many people and eventually both blades faded into legend.

Recollecting some old piece of lore, Seka turned and shared her knowledge of the holy blade,
"I remember something. Long ago, a holy blade was crafted to eat the souls of those slain by it. It was used to fight demons, devils and other fell monsters that were difficult to kill. The power of the blade became corrupted and in turn its wielder. So another blade was crafted to destroy the first one. This led to many deaths, and, with time, both blades faded into legend."
Jokulmorder Zheng |
" So this particular shard belongs to which sword?" Zheng asks, quite confused at this point
I can't quite remember what we collected. I am under the impression that we have 1 shard of the holy sword and another shard of some destroyed crystal ball, or whatever it was that we smashed in the necro-dragon encounter."

you have a few pieces of some shards from one of these swords, and Ikkit has all the crystal ball shards.
That's exactly right miss, you seem to know your history. Though unfortunately even i don't know which these belong too. The problem with legends and stuff like this is once these blades are broken the only way to tell which is which is to reforge it...A holy blade that turned evil and an unholy blade used for good, what a weird legend...Well if you ever need any help with smithing or what not come and find me. Feel free to do whatever you need to i have to go get to work, and good luck with whatever your trying to do. With that hte young man leaves the bunch of you in the room and heads down stairs to his forge.
Seka of the Silver Wings |
"Thank you for your help," Seka inclined her head to the Smithy. Most cordial Tiefling I have come across in many years... she mused silently.
Looking to the males and hearing Zheng, she responded, "Aye, let us make our way to the Temple."
Do we know the location of the temple or do we need directions?"
GM_IamZero000 |
Heading back through the town, large lit torches line the roads lighting up Greywater for the few people that are out. The group heads in the direction of the Temple finding it rather easily, as it makes no effort to be hidden,
Large wooden doors and lit torches adorn the front of the stone building as you arrive. your move, and apologies i though i posted yesterday...the post eating forum monster strikes
Seka of the Silver Wings |
It's Christmas Eve, here, so there may not be a lot of posting from me until after Christmas. Family time. :)
Seka knocked and waited a moment before steadily/politely calling out, "Good eve. We seek guidance from the priests of the temple. May we enter?"

Okay i'm back, been a tiny bit busy apologies
A young priest, a half elf man with dressed in white robes . his hair seems to have a slight forest green tinge. Adorning his white robes two different religious symbols. Evening, He says opening the large doors, Yeah come on in, you are out pretty late.

"Thank you, Curate." (Do we know his name?) Seka entered, her eyes scanning the interior of the stone building.
"My name is Seka. My companions and I seek your knowledge of two blades forged: a corrupted, soul-eating holy blade and another forged to destroy it. Do you know of this legend and can you tell us more? We have discovered shards we believe to be part of one or both the swords, if you care to look at them and aid us in learning more?"
