Your tricks won't work, brain in a jar. CJ was a big golem, not a tiny necrotic construct. I'm sure he intended to leave me free paper minis in his will, but his departure was sudden and he probably just hadn't gotten around to updating it.

Hi chrids,
I was concerned the score marks would be an eyesore. I can always change it back if enough people prefer it that way.
There you go guys!
Thanks Liz!

Did you see the RotR4 set is out?
Cool! Well, I look forward to seeing any input you have to share.

D'oh! You are correct, chrids.
The notes in my sketchbook next to the crab drawing say Large Crab but simply checking Burnt Ashes would have shown it be a Large Hermit Crab which is large and not medium. Sorry for the confusion, I'll try and fix that soon. Thanks for the catch. :)
It's basically my first time running Pathfinder, so I have been going over this with a fine tooth comb :) Don't get me wrong though, I love these paper minis (I may actually be obsessed at this point, hah) and just bought the Skinsaw set. I'm lookin forward to the later sets though, those look like they have the real fun bad guys!

The sets keep getting better and better and include a lot of stuff you'll use in other games...and a few models that I don't think have ever been paper, plastic, or metal mini before...

yeah i find endless satisfaction in having minis that represent the NPC's exactly instead of having something sort of kind of look like the bad guys. Plus I have absolutely no large minis, so I REALLY like having the paper minis for trolls and ogres and the like.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like them! (Reviews are always welcome!) The later sets sets do have some of the more unique monsters and they were fun to draw.

+1 I agree
It was cool in the game to be able to put down EXACTLY the mini that matched. (And if you troll the other ROTR Mini Threads, you'll see how Lyrie became the Hot Wizard Chick...I think the mini effected how they treated her...)

thought i would throw up a pic of these minis in action.

Huzzah for harem goblins!
So was Isabel a PC or NPC?
A NPC, but during combat a PC played her.
Since then one of the PCs switched characters to a Ftr, so this will probably be the last time they have a NPC companion. I decided the harem gobs didn't have weapons, so I had them just aid Bruthy's AC by "distracting" the PCs with lewd dancing and prancing. It worked for a while until the crits started to pile up...

chrids |

I am officially disturbed by lewd dancing and prancing by goblins...
;)
The harem goblins were definitely a big hit. The players kept picking up the minis to get a better look.
Also, the goblin commando with the pot on his head became the "hillbilly goblin" to my players
Good stuff man, can't wait to see more APs from you CJ.

Very cool pix.
What did you use for the maps...they look good.
And where did you get the cool PC paper minis?

I actually printed out the maps from the map folio. I used 11x17 paper and either 2x2 poster print (or maybe 3x3, took some experimentation) at 1200 dpi. They turned out pretty good, the squares are just a smidge shy of 1 in across. I have been spoiled by playing with maptool in another game, but I don't have access to that hardware myself, so it's my low tech solution. Then i used a bunch of double sided tape and blank paper to use as the "fog of war." which i tear off as they enter a room. I used a chessex map for thisteltop fort though since it's pretty simple to draw.
As for the PCs, one of of the PCs is proficient in photoshop, so he magically made them (don't ask me how haha). But basically he found some images on the internet and shrunk them down and edited them a little [one PC is a half-orc druid with a barrel for armor (functionally equivalent to wooden armor in this game) that he managed to do a pretty stellar photoshop job on]. It took a few tries but eventually he got them to the right size. It stemmed from that PC playing a gunslinger originally and not having any mini to represent that.

Thanks again for sharing chrids, of course I love hearing that players enjoyed using the minis.

Very cool! I wish I had the printer that could do that!
