Really Great!

I have a fairly substantial collection of miniatures, but trying to collect, paint and transport them to a game can be a headache. These paper minis fit the bill! They look good on the table and supply you with every figure you need to run the adventure.

One thing I really like is the scale. It is nice to have a paper miniature that is the appropriate size. Goblins, humans, animals, giant creatures, it all looks good!

Almost perfect

4/5

You can tell on the last ones of Shalelu and Orik Vancaskerkin that the images just don't line up. You can barely see white lines crisscrossing on them.

And poor Aeren is listed as only a Townsfolk.

Anyhoo, these are great and get 4.5 stars from me.

j.

Not a fan

2/5

Perhaps I'm being unfair as you get a good idea of the art on the cover but to be honest I really dislike the art. For some reason I expected more from the glowing reviews.

I just bought this minutes ago and these minis will never even be printed. Total waste.

Oh well.

Great Overall Use

4/5

This set has great overall use in campaigns outside of Rise of the Runelords.

I'm using this for PFS only and these minis have seen a lot of use. You can almost always find a use for goblins, zombies, shadows, some animals, and some distinct human NPCs.

Edit: I'm reducing the rating to 4 stars because the art and coloring have improved significantly since this set came out.

Worth every penny....

5/5

These are a wallet saver and I like the art style.

This is great, after 12 weeks in Sandpoint, my players have just started Thistletop, so this'll be a great addition to the game!

I hope you keep doing these with all of the adventures.

(I used the goblins already a few times in this campaign and the non-AP game I'm running for another group).

They should encounter some of these this week. I'll link to some in-game pics some time saterday.

I absolutely LOVE these minis. The style is grat and the ability to print them ad slightly different sizes lets me reuse and mix them up!

Glad you like them! And I always love to see photos.

I believe Callous Jack's planning on doing all the adventures for Rise of the Runelords; I'll see how things are looking for "Skinsaw Murders".

Or he'll respond right here. Either way. :P

I'll probably also be doing ogres and stone giants soon as well, if these take off. Even if not, we all need ogres, don't we? :P

Sovereign Court

Cool, hope folks like these minis. :-)

So, we getting Skinsaw minis anytime soon?

Looking foreward to Ogres and Giants.

(I've been slowly selling off the 1000's of lead, pweter, and plastic minis Ive acquired over the years and replacing them with paper minis, so this is all good...)

It is almost as if you knew somehow that I am starting a Rise of the Runelords game next Sunday. I had actually started work on my own paper minis, much of which looked terrible, but I had fun doing them. I'm glad to see you guys are producing minis again. The HellKnights pack is really awesome.

I really like the Sinspawn and Bruthazmus minis on this one. Very nice. I have to admit I wanted a Tsuto, but Lyrie's cat made it all worth it.

Please keep doing the Runelords AP. It seems like enough people are still playing it to make it a worth while endeavor.

a nice idea for paizo would be to just add in paper minis in EVERY adventure. or make paper minis for every adventure at least.

This couldn't be better timed. My group will be starting Burnt Offerings in a week.

Buying it now!

What about the picture on the cover? Is it the "real" Sandpoint? Because it's sure looks like a photo, and the houses look everything but medieval...

Sovereign Court

I'm glad to hear some folks are liking the minis. I'd love to see any pictures of the tabletop when you end up using them!

Thanks Mike, the cat was a last minute addition.

I'm sorry to say that I must have had a brain-lapse as I have a fully colored Tsuto on my desktop but I must have never included him with the rest of the bunch.

Let me try a different link.

Try this one: http://s816.photobucket.com/home/gigglestick42

You'll have to look at the Swallowtail pictures in the ROTR Album to see the goblins.

(Or just look for the gigglestick42 Album)

I'm not very web savvy, so I might be missing a more obvious way to link these.

Thank you.

I'll see what I can do next time. (I'm starting to get frustrated with photobucket). There should be more on this weekend. (We've been using the other PF Paper Minis for all sorts of stuff. After looking at Ashton's DeviantArt site, I wish he'd do some of the PF characters he has shown there as well. They'd be great.)

If there's demand for the minis I've got on dA being assembled into a set, I'd do 'em in a heartbeat. Art's already there anyway.

Maybe I'll whip up a "best of" set available on dA for free. Or however many of 'em I can fit into one page. :P

Thanks for the photos, BTW! I very much enjoyed seeing them. :D

Well, our heroes made it through the hedgerow to the main building, so we got LOTS of use of the minis. With 6 characters, I had to beef up the opposition by 50%, so there were LOTS of goblins (28 regular goblins, and tons of goblin dogs.) With the new Ripnugget mini, we used him for Ripnugget and the your goblin with crown as the Druid. (BTW, a goblin spellcaster would be nice to have).

(For the record, Gogmurt ws the nastiest one of all. Castng Entangle in the Hedgerow is just EVIL...)

And, just because I had the mini, I included a bonded Sinspawn in the throne room. The bad guys needed the help, and there will be more about Nualia recently leaving it there after the assault on the Catacombs of Wrath....

And the counter is too cool not to have used it.

BTW- everyone loved Foxglove's bemused/ clueless expression. Perfect...

Anyway, new pix have been added:

They made it to Orik, Lyrie, and her cat. (One had trouble pronouncing Lyrie so, based on your mini, she was "The hot Wizard Chick").

Then the rogue chased the familiar down a hall where he encountered Bruthazmus and the goblin harem. The mini for the bugbear was the perfect size. Printed out at scale, he was big, but not Large. (Though one player was a bit scared, thinking it WAS a large creature.)

You really captured the spirit of these characters.

You can see more pics of the fights this week (and how these characters look printed out as A frame vs other minis) at the link.

So, keep 'em coming! We got Skinsaw in 2 weeks...

Who's the guy in purple with a bow?

Yay, Tsuto!

That's Aldern Foxglove, I can't remember if the stats said he had a bow but when the PCs meet him in the book he has just come back from hunting so I would assume he had one.

Sovereign Court

He looks a little too happy to be Tsuto.... and a little too happy to be Aldern, now that I think about it. =)

I like his smug expression...

Makes him even more sinister later...

More pix of the minis in action at the Linkified above...

Mostly Nualia (Some were a bit intimidated by the nastly looking demonic hand...and it did some damage), Malfeshnikor (or Malfeshnikkie...as my players called him. He was BIG. And scared them all. Especially because most of my players are new to D&D/ PF and so when I say Barghest Demon, they have no idea what that is. They just hear DEMON...), and another Sinspawn to boost up the Nualia Encounter.

They all look great next to the other minis and paper minis.

(One minor complaint. The Bargest doesn't look all that menacing. And down on all fours he looks a little too much like a shaggy mule. Still, he beat on the heroes and they'll be wary if they ever see that mini come out again)

Thanks again for the minis Jack.

Sovereign Court

Thanks for the feedback, gigglestick. I actually appreciate the criticism because it's helpful to know what folks both liked and disliked when I'm working on the next series of minis. The Barghest was not a favorite of mine either to be honest, I didn't really get the look I was hoping for.

Sovereign Court

I just noticed the review today.
Thanks for the kind words, gigglestick!

No pathfinder advantage discount on these? No biggie, it's only a few cents, but just curious why.

Because these are non-Paizo PDFs.

It's all Third Party (Ashton, Callous Jack, and Crystal have their own little...company?) so the PF Advantage doesn;t apply.

Still a great deal!

Jack, two questions.
1. What became of the Tsuto mini, did you decide to make him available somewhere?
2. When do you expect to post the Skinsaw minis?
Thanks for the great work.

Thanks for the great work.

1. I sent the Tsuto mini on to N'wah and I think it was just going to end up as a free download but that's the last I've heard of that.

2. I was hoping the 2nd Runelords set would come out with the 2nd Kingmaker set but I guess not. Hopefully soon...

Sorry I can't give more concrete answers.

I'm waiting too, but I know that things have been busy for Ashton and I would assume that the KM minis are a higher priority (they should, its the most recent AP). I've commissioned him to do some Minis for me (about 20) and I know those had to be put on the back burner for a short time. (Which is understandable).

But I still need me some Skinsaw minis...

Just bought this about a week ago...very happy to see it updated and expanded! However, the score marks were removed, which seems like it will make cutting these guys out more difficult...

YES!!

Awesome Update! These Look Great. (And yes, the New Barghest is better.)

And I love the Harem Goblins....those are going to give players a different sort of nightmare for a while.

I notice there is space on the last page...if you ever do another update, that would be a great place for the Sandpoint Devil....

Keep up the awesome sets CJ. So, what's next in the pipelne?

I was concerned the score marks would be an eyesore. I can always change it back if enough people prefer it that way.
