Jokulmorder Zheng's Background:

Jokulmorder Zheng (Human Fighter)
Step 1: write five things about your character’s concept and background, five things that you think are the most essential parts of your character. You don’t have to stop at five, if you like…this is just a minimum.

1. Zheng was born to a Tianese Father and an Ulfen Mother. Zheng's father was a skilled wandering Blacksmith and Zheng's maternal grandfather really needed a male heir.
2. Zheng's father was an adventurer of decent reknown, trained by the samurai who were there before the fall. Zheng was never taught that code though. Not much use for dogma in a world where survival is key.
3. Zheng's background in smithing compromises mainly of ulfen and common weaponary
4. Zheng's first name, Jokulmorder, harkens to the sea monsters of legend, and relates to his mix blooded background (Grandpa Stormsteel was trying to come up with a name that was fearsome and something that the child would be proud of. Zheng's father very reluctantly agreed to this.) Naturally that means he's not too keen being involved in the affairs of others, because he was excluded as a child.
5. Zheng's in Varisia trying to make his way in the world , and sell his wares

Step 2: List two goals for the character that you, as a player, think would be cool to see accomplished in-game.

1. Character: getting a weapon of his to reknowned status
2. Player: Creating or finding a mythical weapon that grows with my pc throughout the course of the game.

Step 3: List two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet.

What Jokulmorder knows: He has a weird tattoo running down his chest he isn't supposed to show to away (In Mother's words) has squinty eyes (anyone of tian decent)
What Jokulmorder doesn't know: That tattoo details a technique of folding steel that strengthens the construction of most weapons, and might be the blueprint to an ancient weapon.

Step 4: Describe three people that are tied to the character though blood, romance or honor. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile.

1. Ashalyla : (pronouced Ah-sha-lie-la) a Snowcaster elf Jokulmorder knows only through the nickname "long ears" they met once and he has a crush on her.
2. Auntie "Zheng" Xiao Long : A former scorned lover of his father, who sees Zheng as the bastard child of her destined mate. She has kept her looks well over the years.
3. (I might be cheating here a little) Jian Zheng and Lyra Stormsteel, Pa and Ma Zheng respectively. Family is far away in Varista, but Zheng loves them dearly.

Step 5: Describe three memories that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor.

1)"A quick drawn sword proves neither brawn nor bravery" Those songs his parents used to sing while working the forge sure were catchy.
2)The heat and flame of an open forge. It used to be unbearable, but the warmth was comforting now.
3)"She was pretty, that long-eared girl. She said she was heading down to Varista. Maybe I'll see her there?"

looks real interesting. i'll roll and see what comes up.
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2) + 6 = 9
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 6) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + 6 = 17

Aldaris pipes up from the back
"I think or patron here is looking for something more personal - and that i shall provide. "

He takes a deep breath
"Alone I am nothing. I am bone shrouded in weakness, the not yet dust. But if I were to live a moment more I would humbly request your aid."

aldaris casts mage armor on Mr Null

Orange light spills out of the summoner's hands. He is unsure where to direct it.

" I assume this will suffice good sir?"

Wait chocula do you want to be the wizard? I can still switch the alias so just pick him if you wanna play him. I'm pretty much fine with anything so just go ahead

Well storywise it wouldn't make sense to have 2 of the same character so i don't suppose that's possible. I'm fine with Rataji so go ahead with 322

I'll yield 322 to beckett, though I'd like to preface that I've never played a wizard before so pardon any of the mistakes I'll make

I have found a game that accommodates my character of choice. As such I will be bowing of this game. Hopefully this clears the slate for new players to join. I am truly sorry of any inconvenience i might have caused.

I have a level 7 summoner that i would like to join you with

Yikes i really hope we can get some players in time.

I'll scoop up the faces i suppose, 322 and Rataji are my picks (preference in that order )

Interested in playing

Interested! If it matters at all, I have a Lvl 7 summoner to join the table. I played under you before with Dairon the cleric.

I like stuff being out of my control. At least somewhat. I'm interested.

Have a kobold guy lying around from a previous campaign, so i'm interested

I've got a concept going, but just to be sure, what level am i at and how much gold do i have?

still alive and planning

Ehhhhh i was thinking of playing the fighter cause I'm sick of rolling clerics, but just in cause, what gods are up for grabs?

What/where are the character creation guidelines?

well it seems interesting, i'll give it a go

hmmmm do all the objects have some sort of significance? some of them seem really strange.

i'm in for a little silly fun if that's what the game is.

Iazamaz Backstory:

The night is quiet, and just like most stories involving a mysterious stranger, a cloaked figure enters the tarven on a slow night.Swaddled in a cloak the figure gets right up to barman and asks politely.
"Spare a little milk for a tired traveller
Not so much a reveler as just a world-weary wanderer
mind the skinny hands and the hollow clicking sound
i'm afraid the old meat isn't around"

The experienced Barman doesn't ask any questions, and slides the glass across to the figure. He can hear a few chuckles coming around him, but sticks his hand out and grasps the tankard. Observers gasp. Decent folk faint, the more experienced ones raise and eyebrow. A cleric rolls Knowledge (religion) in a vain attempt to identify this strange creature. The figure's hand is ivory bone and as he downs the drink he begins to speak.
"For Dust thou art
and unto dust shalt thou return
Eventually, though yet without heart
that shallow grave i adjourn"

He rises and it is blatantly obvious the creature is some sort of skeleton with a piano jammed into his chest cavity.
"I know this story is much like a blur
give me the chance
my assurance to you good sir"

He stops to take a bow to his audience
"THE DEAD SHALL DANCEEEEEEEEEE"
The skeleton spins his cloak around himself as the spirits, howling from the ground beneath him rise up and blanket him, then they dissipate, leaving no trance of them or the figure. Someone drops one of the glass tankards on the ground.

Iazamaz once had a name, though that now escapes his memory. Especially because he has no brain. Once a promising performer and decent street duelist misfortune struck when a rare disease took the young performers life. Yet fate in all its infinite wisdom has a funny way of doing things and long after his flesh had rotted away and the rest of his friends passed on, Iazamaz found himself once again staring into the void, his body feeling significantly lighter. That is until he got bored and lifted the door of his coffin to let the light in. Obviously he wasn't too pleased with his physical appearance, though he eventually managed to stop the people around him from screaming by convincing them he was just two halflings in a really elaborate costume. He attached a pipe organ to fill up the hole in his chest cavity to solidify this theory and though he was content for a while the life he had missed out on was starting to haunt him a little. Thus deciding to spend his afterlife went Iazamaz set out to see the world.

Appearance: Iazamaz is a skeleton of average build, and could be mistaken for any other undead creature though he his seperated by the fact that his eyes glow green (a result of his soul being bound to his corpse by the disease) and he has a pipe organ behind his ribcage, with the pipes laying horizontally between the gaps of his ribs, and the keys at the edge of his ribcage, allowing Iazamaz to play the organ on himself.

Grey piece Creation:

Name: Performer's toil (Wonderous Item)

Iazamaz's grey piece is a particularly worn down bone ivory piano key and is the last piano key in the series, replacing the "E" note.

It should be able to cast touch of Fatigue

Non- beneficial Aspect: piece never plays the correct note when hit, producing a note too high or too low

Backstory: When Iazamaz opened his eyes again for the first time in a century, the first object he saw after stepping into the light was a broken piano, wood already half rotten in the midday sun. Most of the piano was in poor condition, yet one of the features of the piano stood out to him. There was a single key left, rounded at the edges from constant use but yet still gleaming. It was there that Iazamaz decided to take it with him, as a reminder of the hard work needed to make up for lost years.

I'm cool with a roleplay horror game, count me in as interested.

Yea I'm using leather armor. I'll put it in later.also I've played confirmation before, but in non-core.

Here's my character submission for the confirmation.
Link to Character Sheet
Race & Class: Halfling Bard
Role in the story: Support/ Party Face

Backstory:

Come around the campfire. come ye persons all
Sit and hear the tale of peculiar fellow small
Born and raised in yonder lands of street performers numerous
Had to make it by his own ( by being rather humorous)
skilled in swanky and beat and rhyme
raised in song, it was only a matter of time
before the path came calling

be a bard!
be a bard!
Succumb to wanderlust and walk your way around the world
be a bard!
be a bard!
Record your times of joy, sorrow, fear and courage

And thus he put on his walking shoes and trod up to the lodge
a life of boring confinement now he would dodge
"sign me up, i'm itching for an adventure!"
"hold on now i'll take you to a captain most venture."
And as the halfling finished his application
a document upon which was written "YOUR NEW LOCATION"
and thus this bard is now around, now in absalom!

dotting for interest, will put character up soon

I'm interested and will work on a character.

I'm really sorry about this but I'll be overseas so I won't be able to join the discussion for 3 days or so. I'll take whatever leftover regiments there are at worst.or fulfill any leftover roles.

I'd like to take a support role in the fight, supplying reinforcements and upping morale.
I'd grab the droop troopers and the shock troopers. I could move towards a first strike role, but that would mean securing one or two mechanical corp just to make sure i can ensure a foothold on the hive.

Lucius Ovidius Firmianus
1. Lucius hails from Cadia, as the son of a noble, he was taught to command at an early age.
2. Lucius has deployment on many different fronts, mostly dealing with rebellions, working best with infantry regiments, especially shock troopers.
3. Lucius is a skilled quartermaster and was previously awarded for losing a small amount of resources in a drawn out engagement.
4. Lucius is slightly neurotic/ paranoid due to his need to take stock of supplies and resources. He is also vulnerable to inaction, hoping to take the best path out of one situation and waiting for an opportunity that might not come.

I haven't actually played any warhammer games other than the warhammer 40k: Dawn of war (dark crusade) computer games, but i'm a big fan of the universe and i'd be interested learn the system and play a game in the universe

Another question. What's the state of the world we will be playing in?

sounds cool.a question though.is anything we can re-flavour to be of sci-fi nature is good? (e.g Necromancy is the result of the subject being able to generate electrical current in corpses, moving muscles)

-What interests you specifically? Why does this catch your eye?
well dragons have always been an integral part of rollplaying games so it would interesting to be involved in game like this

-What character do you have in mind?
I usually play alchemists because i find them the most interesting, though i haven't gotten all that far with my characters.i might play a dirge bard for this campaign or a healer. i like healers too

-Suggestions for easy map tools.
i've only ever played with google doc maps, and played live games with Roll20 though my experience with roll20 is less than that of google docs.

-Post rate.
i check the forums multiple times a day, but my time zone is gmt+8, so it's at least once a day.

This sounds interesting. Dotting for interest.

Name: Iazamaz(IZ),He who walks among us, the impossible one, the shifter of shape
Race:Ethereals (ET)
Domains:Discovery and wizardry
Home:Volcanic mountains
Advancement:Armor

Iazamaz is the god of self-identity and form.because of this,he is a god of many forms, and each race sees him as one of their own, though the god retains his garb of a cloak that covers his face in shadow, and a mask that hides the rest of his face. His godly form resembles a vaguely humanoid figure who radiates wisps of energy. He believes that all folk should find their purpose in life through him or with his guidance, and thus his worshippers often do not last very long, though the god himself agrees this is for the best.

His servitor race is the Ethereals.A race of radiant humanoid Figures with spindly limbs which extend and change shape in order to fill the needs of the ethereals.Like iazamaz, the ethereals are a race of shapeshifters, and often place themselves among the ranks of other races, embodying the race's physical aspects while retaining their minds. However, they enjoy putting their own personal touches on their forms, resulting in the show of their true identity as goblins who are too tall, grasvolk made of inorganic material such as paper or male orizaba appear alongside their original counterparts.

I would like to join this campaign, but I am not very familiar with the system in question.I hope this isn't too big of an issue for you

Whtknt, can you tell me the specifics of my powers?

Weakness
Control module overide (weakness:low self control)(weakness:Physical Handicap)
In times of great danger, there is a chance where the programing of the HERALD will take over. This initiates the lockdown procedure, where the HERALD will freeze up and become encased in his armor, reverting to his capsule form (this looks like a coffin and is the form the HERALD will take when sleeping/unconscious)In this form, the HERALD is unable to take action and is paralyzed until the danger has passed or the warning system has been disabled by outside sources

i'm attempting to combine both of my weaknesses. Is this okay?

I haven't quite decided on my physical handicap, will most likely be up by tonight.

Maybe having a random aspect will help.Well I am a herald...

It's kind of the key power of the HERALD so I'd like to have it a least more than once in a fight if possible.

It's basically a transmutation spell like I stated. The HERALD can poof the evil robot into an evil radio or anything that's a machine. Basically it switches the target with a version of them from a another reality. Like Human you could be switched with you with a different colour of hair or a dog version of you, depending which other dimension you're switched with (the entire concept of the HERALD is that he's a traveller that roams the multiverse cataloguing lifeforms.)

GM,you haven't okayed my power yet so here it is
Enter the infinite(Psionics:magic/psionics)
The HERALD opens the target to the multiverse, showing it all that could have been or might have been. This warps the target, causing it to take the form of one of it's multiverse selves. This will work only if the HERALD is in close enough range to the target. This ability will leave the HERALD completely vulnerabe as the mobius engines that power the HERALD must be used to power the transmutation.(basically a polymorph spell. e.g amazing spider man becomes ultimate spider man)

Character name:Orion of the infinite
Identity:an inter-dimensional traveler here to identify and perserve lifeforms in the universe
age: Unknown, but has the appearance of a 18 year old asian male
weight:123ibs
Height:5.8ft

i have more information on him on my alias page.
