If anyone has been the public face of Paizo it's been you Liz. (Surprising for being a gninja ;) ). I hope you will continue to be a presence on the boards and lots of luck in you future endeavors!

Two words, vampiric squirrels.

Easy way for the GM to wiggle out of this, if she needs to: Comprehend Languages "does not decipher codes or reveal messages concealed in otherwise normal text." So the OP could easily have deciphered the words without having a real clue to the meaning. Come to think of it, that in and of itself could be a neat plot hook.

I had an adventure that the group had to retrieve a holy book from thieves that contained info pertinent to the campaign but didn't want it known too early and knew comprehend languages would spoiler it so had book written in code/cipher with hints others had guessed at written in margins to limit what players could learn from the book. I even printed a 'book' with actual adventure text changed by replacing letters of the text with gibberish. The book was a hit cause they had actual info even if they couldn't use it.

Wow!
Just found this. Been thinking of doing something similar for awhile but never get to it, and nothing even close to as elaborate as this!
I can't say how awesome this is! Thanx so much!

I see the one has shipped now, so thanks anyway.

Hello, could I get these 2 orders combined? Thanx.

Pawns, pawns, pawns, pawns, pawns. [sung to the tune of 'Spam']

It isn't mentioned here, but maybe elsewhere, but I see the investigator more as the noir/detective side of Batman. He studies his foes for more lethal strikes and uses his batgear/alchemical stuff to boost himself or disable foes. Granted Batman doesn't have spells but they could fill in for his tech.

Is this a printed book then, or a PDF? Looks like a hardcopy that you buy.

You can pre-order the hardcover w/pdf on the adventureaweek.com website. $99. It looks awesome. Artwork and layout are great. Tho a lot of pages for stats for 3.5 AND pathfinder.

Lemony-flavored Demonic Sprinkles.

What?!

Pages: 494, full color

HOLY CRAP!

Oh! I'll take credit for the ahkhat in a hot second. I also did the guardian scroll (AGGRESSIVE PAPER).

I am told that the ahkhat raised some eyebrows internally, and I am grateful to Adam Daigle for championing it.

To be honest, I stopped thinking purely in terms of Pathfinder and started to think in terms of other RPGs. Then I stepped backwards and started the process of making it work in Pathfinder.

EDIT: I got excited and started bragging. :D

When you start off being attacked the choice is taken from the PCs; its 'bad guys are attacking us, kill them'. Whereas this way its 'this could be bad, lets do something about it'.

And with the ahkhat, we have animated objects, elementals everywhere, golems of every known substance, why not something for your house to attack intruders? Sort of like a fantasy security system. But only for the wealthy of course!

The Core Rulebook gives all the rules for all the (core) classes. So it has all the feats, etc. But if a newbie or intermediate player with say a fighter sees that list of feats and just sees gibberish, the Strategy Guide will say ignore all these feats here cause they don't apply to fighters. Just look at these feats, and these are the ones to pick at 1st level, then if you want sword and board pick from these, if you're going for ranged attacks these feats are good, etc.
Not as an optimization but just to winnow down the abilities each class needs to focus on, and which levels they should be taken at.
Been playing since 1st edition and I'm still picking up one. And will have it on hand when newbies want to learn more of the nuances of the game. That CRB really does scare new players!

Oops my bad. I see it now.

Thanx Erik!

Wanted to take advantage of the GM sale and had a bunch of stuff in my cart. First tried Saturday (I waited til near the end to make one purchase instead of many if I found more things I wanted), but when I went to checkout I got nothing and refreshing just took me back to the cart. With the new software I figured it was just bugs so I waited til Sunday and tried again. Still same problem. Rest of site okay, if a bit slow at times. But ultimately was unable to complete the order. And now the sale is over. Is it possible for this to go through at the sale prices?

Greetings Macabre,

I was able to successfully submit your order per our previous discussion, let me know if I can be of further assistance and I'll be glad to do so!

- Erik K

Thanx. But sale prices weren't applied.

And I was wrong, it didn't go thru.
Go ahead and submit my cart with my default card.
Thanx again.

Erik Keith wrote:

My apologies for failing to mention this previously!

Since you were trying to submit this order before the sale ended I would be glad to honor the sales prices that were available, that goes for you as well Macabre Dragon. I see no logic in penalizing you for our website being finicky! Just let me know if you would like me to submit your shopping cart, and I should be able to do so while honoring the sales prices.

- Erik K

Tried a couple more times before finally went thru. It is showing the non-sale price so I just want to make sure that it will charge the sale prices.

Thanx Erik!

I had the same problem. Log in then go to cart but checkout would time out. And now the sale is over.

My guess for next Gargantuan that's dungeon themed would have to be Tzitzimitl. There are so few gargantuans that aren't dragons, aquatic, or outsiders. Not that it couldn't be aquatic or an outsider but not really dungeony.

Is this the Iron Gods AP? Barbarians vs. Superscience vs. Demons?

A vote for Herbalist or Bling (tho Maestro sounds intriguing).

I'd be in for Orthos' Folding Circle.

Vampiric Demons with LAZORS!

I am actually liking this Baphomet more.

I know size doesn't equal intelligence (or lack of) but the scrawny Baphomet looks scarier.

That he could survive as a demon lord means he is even more BADASS like this.

When can we expect a monster listing for this?

'Frog Train to Slaughterville' sounds like a great adventure title!

So...
When's it come out?

The book of rules for everything! Psychic, planar, monsters, classes, races, dreamlands, skills, feats, magic, religion, spells, terrain, hazards, traps, haunts, evolutions, ...
Problem is it will weigh 50 lbs, cost $500, and isn't coming out until 2025.
:D
If it comes out in 2025, it won't weigh 50 lbs, because it will be an E-Book:)

Touché :P

This set could almost be a box set itself with the wide range of characters in the AP. Irrisen witches, centaurs, asst. fey, Triaxian elves, drakes and dragon-kin, Russian soldiers, not to mention Baba Yaga, Rasputin, and the Dancing Hut!

Actually the GenCon Hardcover is always on time.

Which is probably part of the reason the other releases are usually late, so much time and effort to make sure GenCon stuff isn't late.

"The book would be better if it had six different builds for each class, race, and archetype combo, and conversions for GURPS and WOD as well. And it would be better if it included character generator software. Since it has none of these things, I'm giving it just 1 star."

Reasonable or unreasonable?

"The book doesn't include a "--LAZER--" that was nowhere mentioned so I give it 1 star."

Yes unreasonable.
