I was wrong.danielc —
I have to admit I was wrong. I thought I was not going to like this one. I received it and it is a fine set of items. As the previous review stated some elements could be used on other places. My one and only regret is I wish I could get a few more stools to add to the mix.
Better, but not by much.danielc —
I have to admit I have given up on this miniature. While this one is better than the original one I received, it is a minor improvement.
I will give points for the effort and time but I think it is time to let this one sink to the bottom of my mini horde.
Much Betterdanielc —
based only on the one I received, I think this figure is much better. I am happy they added this one into the mix. I replaced mine and am now trying to figure out what to do to the old one.
Too much dead black...danielc —
When I first looked at this miniature I thought they had sent me one that was unfinished. Then the second one was the same. There is just too much raw black. It takes away from a cute figure IMO.
Almost there....danielc —
I was all ready to love this miniature. But when I pulled it from the booster, I was taken back at how much the white spikes took away from the miniature. Now that I see it in hand I will be sticking with my Safari King Cobra
Great Miniaturedanielc —
I was unsure if I would like this miniature. But when I pulled it from the booster, I changed my mind. I like this figure quite a bit. He is simple and clean and yet when standing next to the PC figures is clearly a threat.
Better than expected....danielc —
I pulled one of these from my first few boosters. The picture does not do it justice. The use of translucent red make this much more exciting as a miniature. Well done.
Runt of the Pack?danielc —
The paint job looks great and the overall sculpt looks wonderful. But she is shorter than some of my NPC figures. she is really small. I was expecting a larger/taller figure.
" Gnolls are impressively built creatures standing anywhere from 6 to 7 feet tall and typically weighing 250 pounds."
Well she is more like 5' 6" and 120 pounds. LOL
But overall, I am not sorry I pulled one though
I like this figure, but...danielc —
it seems to have a head that is way large. Seems out of scale with the body. So I took one star away. But overall I still like this one.
Why did you have to....danielc —
This is one of my most favorite miniatures so far in the whole line, but I hate her as well. The clear peg has broken, counting today, three times in three different places. I can't seem to keep her on the stand. Why couldn't she have been standing like you did so many of the succubi for example. Now she has a frosted pole going up her rear. Just ruins what is, IMO, one of the best figures in the whole line.
I love these "High Quality" minis...danielc —
I picked up my set tonight. I was very impressed with both the overall look and the various details each miniature has. The clear faces, the fine details, the clean paint jobs all combine to make this set a great opening set in a line that can prove to be well worth what they are priced at.
I will gladly switch these for the figures I already owned.
Well done Paizo and WizKids
Great Addition to the Goblin Hordedanielc —
I was not expecting how big this figure is. I thought it would be the same size as the rest of the goblins. The size allows for some fun details and in the end this is a great addition to my goblins.
This looks like a pile not a swarm.danielc —
The opportunity lost on this mini is so obvious. It should have been sculpted a lot flatter. This is a pile and a useless one at that. Had it been flat I could place it in the same square as my other minis and thus it would have looked like a swarm. Sad fail.
Can I get one that is done?danielc —
This figure had an interesting sculpt. It should have had an interesting paint job. It didn't. In place of a great paint job it got what looked like a half arsed splotch job. It looks unfinished and it could have been so much more is the saddest part.
So much opportunity lost....danielc —
I have nothing against catfolk figures, I would have liked one that looked much better though. Pose is awkward, paint job was less than average, and overall it felt off.
Poor Mini - Poor Character Conceptdanielc —
Where to start? How about the bad face paint job or the way her hair color goes down onto her back beyond the sculpted hair.
This was not a figure I wanted to keep. Another wasted slot/figure sculpt.
This is a pile not a swarm....danielc —
I really wish they would realize the need for flatter swarm figures. This large pile is just useless as is. If they would make the figures a little flatter then they could be used to show when a swarm enters the same square as another figure.
Great looking figure.danielc —
I really liked this figure. She was an interesting pose and just looked ready for a rumble. I admit tough, I would have loved to see this figure as a medium as well. But in the end I like her.
Almost but not quitedanielc —
This is one of those figures I really wanted to like. She has a wonderful concept behind her. But for some reason all I see with her is an almost ok paint job and a less then expected look.
Just screams Evildanielc —
I love this figure. He is just wonderful. I will be using him as a BBG because he looks evil but also like he has a huge ego. Great foil for the players.
Irabeth the half face?danielc —
I would have loved this figure had she had a complete paint job. For some reason she has only half her face painted. I really hope they stop these poor quality paint jobs.
Great Minionsdanielc —
I love this figure. It is going to show up several times on my table. Makes a great minion to a cult or a simple low level demon.
Major Faildanielc —
You know how bad a figure is when you start to think about cutting the figure off the base so you can recycle the base for something else you want to rebase.
It is too thin, poor paint job, and really didn't do a good job of representing the Derro.
Great Workdanielc —
This is a wonderful, up to the edge, figure. The paint job was fantastic and the overall impact of the figure is powerful. Even if I never use the figure on the table, I am glad I have one.
Key BBG for sure.danielc —
When I opened the box and found this guy in it, I knew I had a wonderful new BBG to add to the table. Such a wonderful figure. Great sculpt, nice paint job, faithful to the artwork, and is a very imposing figure on the table. Bravo.
