As for our assistance in uncovering the plot and defeating Gaspar it is you who have earned this victory. Enlarge person takes a full round to cast so Pappy can't pick a target until the he spends a move action next round to complete the spell. (I think he moved this round right?) Also only touch spells hold a charge after a miss.

I fear you will find the Deserts of Qadir are just as hot as the jungles of Bloodcove, Master Vasily, but it is a dry heat, which I find less oppressive. The people of Qadir are much more hospitable as well. Though nomadic they have a rich culture and finding a new song or adventure, will not be difficult at all. He says with a smile.

Before leaving for the cemetery Zymir will ask Aaqir if he had ever meet Umut before and if he noticed the priest acting strange in anyway. On the way Zymire the tells the group how the priest seems suspicious to him. Her performance of the burial rights before, while accurate, were sloppy and definitely not up to par with someone of her position within the church. I believe she might be an imposer.

Try and keep him alive. I have just stolen his thoughts. I will be able to find out who has hired him but I may still need him to fill any missing details. Zymir says calmly has he starts to sift through the thoughts he has stolen from the assassin.

@ Shel, she is using different spells so its OK, as long as the assassin is a humanoid and has 4 hit dice or less
@ Thifmar: I'm waiting to see what the GM says in the discussion thread about my Brain Drain but I'd say alive would be better so we can figure out who sent him. My money is on the Priest who did the service or the priest is the assassin.

I've always read this as I know the Intelligence score and the "Surface thoughts" of the victim as per Detect thoughts.

I know its a pretty vague ability so I expect table variation. Some GM's say I have to spend 3 rounds sorting through the knowledge to get the thoughts. Others say I get them automatically. Others say the reference to Detect Thoughts is more to do with effects that limit the ability (i.e Ring of Mind Shielding). My only argument with this is that if that was the intention it would say "This Ability functions as Detect thoughts" not "Treat the knowledge gained as if you used detect thoughts".

Like I said I'm cool with however the GM rules it, just wanted to put forth my case.
