Players are allowed to freely rebuild their PC until they apply a chronicle that levels them up to 2. If a player received a race boon, can they rebuild a level 1 PC using that race boon, or is the race boon only allowed to be the first chronicle sheet? (i.e. after applying just one scenario chronicle sheet, no race boons would be allowed for that PC?)

Along the right-hand side of the Additional Resources page is a link to chronicle sheets for all of the sanctioned modules, quests, etc. The section dealing with Adventure Paths in the main body of the page includes chronicle sheets for the sanctioned Adventure Path content as well.

I think if someone expresses discomfort with a scenario for any reason, we should respond with compassion and not try to push them to do something they're not comfortable with. Please just accept their discomfort and move on. You are not their therapist; leave the pushing of boundaries to the professionals. Edit: sorry to continue this in a Recruitment thread; this conversation should move to Discussion if it continues.
Now that the page has turned, can somebody sticky the Gameday XI announcement, and/or the event page, up top? Thanks!

Yup! My CORE game is already full, too. I intend to GM one more game as well, but I'm waiting to hear about specials before I commit to anything else; two is definitely my limit, especially if one is a special.

But we have a couple players who come every week and need to leave after an hour or two, every week. The only way we've seen to deal with this issue is to let them start the scenario, then replace them with Pregens when they leave. I hope you've been issuing them 0 xp chronicle sheets for their efforts. You may not be able to ban them from play, but they're certainly not sticking around long enough to earn credit for the scenarios either.
If there's room, I'd love to play this. I played 322 in Serpent's Rise, and would love to reprise her role again. EDIT: looks like 322 isn't part of this, but I'm still interested. Would be happy to play the Enigma that Noral just passed on instead (or, really, any role). :) Thanks for offering this game!

Welcome; thanks for joining! I'm playing two different Mesmerists in PFS; I really like the class! You're going to have a lot of fun. I just want to point out--while you're building--that the Intrigue Mystery that I'm taking for Ghil is going to give him a spell list (including charm person and suggestion pretty early) that might have some overlap with common Mesmerist tools. I'll love the hypnotic stare; it'll help me as much as you! But keep an eye on my spell list when picking your spells. My bonus spells from that mystery are written in stone, and I'm a spontaneous caster; I'll be able to spam those spells when needed.
I am definitely interested in this. I have long been wanting to explore one of the Exalted/Evangelist/Sentinel Prestige Classes. This would be a great way to try it out before actually making it a part of a PFS build. The only deities that AoN returns searching for Darklands are a gnomish deity of gambling (Nivi), and a handful of evil deities. Not to say that I'd have to build this PC with a Darklands-associated deity, but I'd like to know your thoughts on building as a follower of an evil deity before I go too far with this. Many divine classes allow casters to be one alignment step away from their deity, so my character won't need to be evil if I do that route, but still, want your thoughts first. Thanks!
I just wanted to add a comment regarding the Eldrazi. The Eldrazi are MtG's version of the Cthulhu mythos, and Pathfinder was written with the Cthulhu mythos in mind; it's peppered all throughout the published modules and adventure paths, and in the ruleset. While I definitely see the appeal of a pre-Eldrazi Zendikar campaign, it would be just as easily to run a post-Eldrazi Zendikar Rising campaign, where the impact of the Eldrazi is still evident, though they themselves are no longer actually present. Just wanted to throw it out there for consideration! There are three versions of Zendikar in MtG, and two of them don't have any Eldrazi around, so you have a choice in which non-Eldrazi version of Zendikar you run.
Lucifer Belthrue wrote: Emerald Spire takes a long time. I was able to get the first 7 levels with this character but it took over a year just to do that. There is also the big risk for one reason or another you will lose players and the GM. This has become a Discussion thread topic, so I'm moving my reply here to not clutter up the Recruitment thread. The point above is super accurate. I was a player in the Emerald Spire for levels 1-5, and have now switched to GM because our GM had to drop and we couldn't find a GM to take over. I imagine there are a lot of PCs out there that started out in the Emerald Spire and are now kind of orphaned because their game fizzled out. It's not called a SuperDungeon for no reason!
Actually, I just stumbled across another good build; this might actually be my preference! Sage (wildblooded Arcane) bloodline: (Elf or Android) switches CHA for INT for all class abilities, bloodline focus on "general purpose" magic ___________________________________ @GM, have you seen this writeup about feat taxes? There's a lot of overlap and common-purpose with your modified feats. It might be worth considering adopting wholesale, as you could just drop a link instead of having to copy-paste a bunch of text. :)
Okay, I have three potential builds. They all have a light melee-support focus with the Draconic Bloodline taking advantage of Claws as attacks. The way the builds vary is in the spellcasting component. Each has a different bloodline; let me know if any of these stand out as something you greatly prefer! I'll finalize the PC this weekend at some point--with or without your thoughts--but would love feedback. Dreamspun bloodline: (Human) adds some psychic spells, bloodline focus on sleep (and related) and divination Shadow bloodline: (Drow) lots of debuff potential, bloodline focus on stealth and darkness Stormborn bloodline: (Human) pure blaster, bloodline focus on direct electricity damage
Any thoughts on my 2nd sorcerer bloodline? As I recall, Crypt is a semi-basic dungeon-delve. I don't know the other two at all; are they similar? - Dreamspun has a slight psychic bent that might be derailed in the face of a lot of undead or constructs (but still has some nice plusses)
Also, I'm slowly building my PC. I'm thinking of shooting for the Dragon Disciple prestige class as a Crossblooded Sorcerer with the Draconic and either the Dreamspun or Stormborn bloodlines. I will likely be human or drow to use the favored class bonus to offset the reduced spells known from being Crossblooded. If drow, I may do Shadow as my 2nd bloodline instead. Thoughts?
Yup, that's why I ignored teamwork feats that focused on melee, or casting, or any particular attack style. These four (and there are certainly other options, too) seem to be broadly beneficial. And while Shake it Off perhaps reaches its max benefit in a tight square, even two people side by side provide a +1 bonus to each other, which is still awesome. Escape route makes all 8 of a PCs threatened squares protected from AoOs, which certainly wouldn't require a line of PCs to take advantage of; the in-combat usefulness could be huge!
So we have: Florence the Scarred (Life Shaman: Healer/Full Divine)
It looks to me like Andrezzi is going to be our trapfinder (at least, starting at level 2); is that correct? If grimdog wants to go bard--which should be fine since Andrezzi will have traps covered--then I'm thinking some kind of sorcerer or bloodrager that could be melee support to cheat out Andrezzi's sneak attack bonus. With 25 points for ability scores, that shouldn't be too hard to achieve. I like the idea of using that additional race point for a group teamwork feat. Any particular ideas on what's best for all of us together? Some ideas to get us started thinking:
Purple Dragon Knight wrote: I'm flexible with class choice; other than grimdog's bard choice, is anyone else sold on a choice yet? I'm also flexible, but I think it's a good call to discuss it. With 4 players, we'll want to make sure that all roles are well-covered. Let's see how the vote goes, and work from there.
I've played Risen from the Sands, and didn't really like it; not real keen on a repeat whether for credit or not. I've never played Masks of the Living God (or Golden Death), and would kind of like to do that, if others don't mind. Are we bringing new PFS-legal PCs to this game, or doing "Adventure/Campaign Mode" with these build rules? (As an aside, I think "Adventure Mode" is the PFS2 name for PFS1's "Campaign Mode") Sorry for the sporadic replies; I keep forgetting to check back here. That will improve once we have a campaign thread and have dotted so we get notifications.

I'm heavily in favor of playing for PFS credit, but there's a great compromise that allows us to play loose with the rules and play for credit: APs in Campaign Mode. You have to commit a PFS number to the playthrough, but you don't actually play a PFS character; you can play anything you want, with any rules. You still get chronicle sheets at the end that you then assign to that PFS number you committed. I've never played either Second Darkness or Council of Thieves; I would be open to both!

I have a question for Organized Play leadership about running an AP in Campaign Mode for PFS credit: Do all players need to receive credit? If only one player wants credit for the game, can the sessions be submitted with only one player's information, or do the other players need to get PFS numbers and be on the submission form too (even if they don't want the credit and never intend to play PFS again)?
