Horizon Hunters **

You can put your character sheet in your character's profile if you want to. This is often done by people who play pbp on this forum--here, I'll post this with one of my character profiles so you can see how I did it.

But you don't have to. You maintain your own character sheets in whatever format you like, and you don't have to post them on the site. There are rules about rebuilding them, but you're kind of on the honor system about it.

Chronicle boons come from the Chronicles you earn for playing. They used to print them on the Chronicles, but now they're usually on a separate document. Your Chronicle will tell you when you qualify and give you the name of the boon. You won't be able to "purchase" them unless you qualify, but once the game is reported you'll be able to.
Most adventures don't have them. If the middle part of your Chronicle just says you earned Achievement Points, then there isn't one. It'll say something like, "This adventure grants the following unique boon: [Title in Bold]."

Boons from game rewards list their requirements, and you'll be able to download them for a character who meets those requirements. A lot of them are related to factions and reputation--here's the reputation chart. Being "Liked" by a faction requires at least 20 reputation with that faction.

Mentor Boons are on that list. Once a character has 20 rep with a given faction, make sure to pick up the Mentor Boon they're eligible for (every faction has one). Those don't directly help you, but they're important for the lower-level characters who end up in a mostly-higher-level party for a session.

Also on that list: Every character is eligible for a boon that grants a free wayfinder once they've had two games reported.

You need to "buy" those boons to have them, but they don't cost anything. You can get them for free as long as you've met the requirements--and you won't be able to anyway if you haven't.

"Nah, we expected it," says Zibini, between bites of food that he mysteriously acquired, "That always happens."

Zibini gets a gig as a goblin sensitivity reader. The first thing he points out is that most goblins don't read.

"You're not nice!"

The four goblins scramble over each other to reach the spirit. Once again imagining himself (themselves?) as a warrior--though now without the shield, trusting in his mirror images to protect him--Zibini draws a dogslicer from nowhere, then draws it across Wanikkawi. "I'll cut her out!"

Then the sword of force shatters as he becomes overwhelmed again. Too much magic for the little goblin.

Zibini becomes Stupefied 1 again.

Zibini looses his magic once again. It's unusual for a fight to last long enough for him to catch his breath and do it more than once, but nor is it the first time.

Realizing that none of his allies are nearby, he really lets loose this time. Something he's known he could do for a while but has never had the opportunity to try. The force that rolls out from him pushes the grass away and scatters dust and small objects--and blasts against the violent spirit.

Doing that takes a lot of him, but he scoops up one of the rocks with his mind and hurls it harder.

Zibini's ready to heal someone, but Tarkii keeps beating him to it. Oh well! Bashing baddies is better.

He then levels his menacing gaze and his toothy grin at Wanikkawi. "You already told us spirit's promises are lies. But we keep our promises. We defend the fire. You LOSE!"

Zibini's shield of force shatters as he's hit, but it absorbs a good portion of the attack.
Shield Block, breaking all three layers for 20 Hardness.

"So you're the traitor.." says Zibini vaguely, "and the evil spirits don't keep promises?"
This really didn't sound very convincing, but the goblin's head is still spinning so maybe it's just him.

Oh. Bad guy big. Long arms.

Zibini steps back, hopefully out of his reach. Healed and protected, he grins weakly. "Didn't work. Try again." And then, where there was one goblin, there now seem to be four.

"Haha!" Zibini laughs as the spirit misses him. He didn't even need his shield! "Ha.. ha... oogh. I feel... You made me allergic to fire??" The goblin is horrified. And oogly.

Absently, he glances over at Avery and gives form to the shadow of her arrow. Arrow and shadow fly together, making it harder for Wanikkawi to avoid the real arrow.

Then, keeping his shield up, he moves away. And, just before being overwhelmed by his own power once more, he sends a burst of fury towards the evil spirit that dared do such an awful thing.

↺ Shadow Projectile. This triggers a RS, but Zibini won't be able to Shield Block it because, well, he used his reaction before his turn on shadow projectile. Wanikkawi can make a DC 21 (-1 for Sickened included) Will save against mental damage: 3d8 + 6 ⇒ (5, 1, 2) + 6 = 14. On a success or worse, he's also Off-Guard against Avery's Strike.

"Would have? So they didn't even do what they promised?"

Zibini laughs at the spirit's foolishness. He laughs and laughs, and again is soon surrounded by magical energy and a swirl of tangible emotions.

Unfortunately, emotional magic was kind of his specialty. And the spirit had already just ignored it once. Affecting his mind seemed hard. Okay! Time to resume his warrior aspect.

Zibini's głowy weapons reform once more, and he lashes out with his imaginary dogslicer.

Zibini lays out the sweets, his tone somber because he's giving away the sweets. "But we seek friendship. We fight to protect the fire and the people! But we don't want war. We want everyone safe and warm."

Clarity returning to his senses, Zibini embraces the chaos and excitement once again--only for the last monster to fall before he can unleash it. Oh well. He takes the opportunity to share feelings of health and happiness all around, the satisfaction of accomplishment.

Before heavily falling to his feet and looking dazed once. Once that overwhelmed feeling has passed once more, he pokes at one of the fallen undead. "Less spirit-y than I expected."

Moot now since we have time and Avery has Continual Recovery, but Zibini can use Restore the Mind to heal everyone 14 hp.

Well, go with what's working well enough, anyway. Zibini can barely see the monster, past the building and Khaul, but he can see it well enough. He points at a rock, and mentally flings it... it flies off into the darkness in the wrong direction entirely.

Successfully casting the spell at least means he's met the condition for Unleash, even if it accomplished nothing

"Eheh, heh." Zibini looks a little wobbly, but levels a hand towards the injured monster.

Success! A rock next to Kaul launches itself through the air towards the creature.

Haha! Wee! This is going well.

Zibini keeps his shield in place, then grabs again for his invisible sword. This time the weapon slices at both of the zombies around him.

Then something shatters, the colors fade, and Zibini stumbles a little as his full weight lands on the earth again. He looks a little dazed.

Zibini laughs as the zombie falls right into his very clever and carefully-laid trap. Even though it punches him. He laughs and feels a rush of excitement that anyone near him can also feel as his emotions burst outward. He almost seems lighter, as though his feet barely touch the ground, as colors start swirling around him.

He looks at the creature and realizes it would probably be better if he was a warrior. So he decides to be that, for the moment.
And, for just a moment, he takes on that persona, with a translucent shield and jagged sword. The shield he raises defensively. The blade he uses to slice the undead monster.

A very silly offer, and a very silly complaint--why do they care about the tradition if they just want to attack the town anyway? "You don't make sense!"

The goblins scurries a little closer. "I know how to fight zombies. I cut 'em up all the time!" They are a little far, though.

Zibini points at a jagged rock, then directs it towards the closest zombie. He rotates his fingers as he does, sending it spinning rather than point-first. For cutting!

Zibini has already recovered by then. Pearly white spindle.

At the feast they had meat with berries, meat stew, some other goop that smelled weird, and pudding. It was a good feast.

"Offers like help, or offers like bribes?" Zibini nods along with Salaish's observation. He would like to be offered a bribe. It's nice just to be acknowledged, y'know? Plus then he can be all cool and defiant and noble and stuff!

"Forests aren't all the same!" says Zibini cheerfully. But he does know a few things about plants, too.

Zibini has encountered a lot of undead, but those might be a little too scary. Are fey "spirits"?

Waving a hand, an ominous red cap appears on his head (figment), though getting it to stay on is a problem and soon the hat falls away. Giggling menacingly, he says "It is a sinister redcap! Here to draw blood!"
Hang on, is that less scary? Oh well!

Figment is one of Zibini's psi cantrips, so he can move it. But... poorly. He can move it 15 feet while sustaining the spell. Not very convincing for clothing you're supposedly wearing.

The goblin's expression is much less serious. He wears scruffy brown robes and looks absolutely thrilled to be here, munching on whatever local food he could get his hands on.

I have two Glyphs, although doesn't look like that matters.

Zibini is a Psychic. He doesn't have focus spells, but instead has cantrips that are slightly better than usual when he uses them. He can spend a focus point to "amp" them, which improves them to focus-spell-level. Two I should point out are guidance and shield.

Zibini can cast guidance as a reaction when the bonus would improve a check from a critical failure to a regular failure, or from a failure to a success. The range is 120 ft and it doesn't matter if the target is otherwise immune to guidance, but casting it this way costs him a focus point.
He will generally do so when this trigger is met.

For him, shield is a ranged spell. If he casts it on an ally, they get the bonus to AC and the effects of Shield Blocking, but it's still his choice and his reaction to block.

He has a +1 circumstance bonus to Initiative checks from his Twitchy feat, which increases to +4 if an enemy uses Deception or Diplomacy. I've included that on the macros page, I'm just pointing it out because it's the same bonus type as Scouting so doesn't stack with that. It also gives him +1 to all defenses against hazards.

Zibini has a wand of mage armor he uses every day. I've just included it in his stats so it's effectively constant.

(This might be my most complicated character, or at least the one with the most stuff I should point out to the GM.)

Provisions... Looks like we probably don't particularly need healing, so I suppose I should take a scroll. Salaish took heroism? Then I'll take haste.

Friendly fire okay if you think it's worth it. But he's little, so be gentle.

Having finally recovered from overexerting himself magically, Zibini takes the opportunity to do it again!

The fact that the enemy seems to be immune to his magic makes it a lot less useful... but it still makes him a better healer. He pushes encouragement and strength towards Meadow and Tiger.

With all the different emotions whirling around him, Zibini attempts to send a wave of reassurance towards Tiger.

It works! And clarity suddenly returns. Time to overextend himself again!

The Demoralize against Zibini is a critical success because of the Stupefied penalty to his Will DC.
The attack is a crit regardless. By a lot.

Zibini is Stupefied... that's a critical success.
Mirror Image: 1d4 ⇒ 4 The crit destroys an image and becomes a regular hit. Two images remain.
↺ Shield Block and break one layer (assuming it's a magical effect? If not I can't do this since it's not physical damage either). 13 - Hardness 10 = 3 damage taken. Two shield layers remain.

Lazzare is too far away to heal. And too far away to need healing, probably. And Zibini's a little too woozy to be sure he can do it. He stumbles back a little, then glares at the sparkly light and musters all the confidence he can into one toothy, laughing smile. Although it's more of a nervous giggle.

Point Out is an action (it's more than just "Something is there," it pinpoints it). But Commanding a familiar is one action that gives them two actions to use.

Seeing Lazzare get hurt, Zibini projects a feeling of strength and confidence towards him. He then directs a surge of anger at the now-visible wisp, while keeping up his own defenses.

It's a little too much, and he's overwhelmed by the power, looking a little dizzy.

Unleash Psyche then ends. Zibini is Stupefied for two rounds, and can't Unleash again for two rounds.
