Looking at my inventory, I would have used a flask of Acid instead of Alchemist's Fire. Still does 1d6 dmg so hopefully doesn't matter. While Xivio bleeds, he offers his wand of CLW to one of his comrades to heal him and stop the bleeding. Then he uses a pearl of power to recover his Burning Hands spell.

Due to failing their reflex save, I think the fetchling should also be on fire (1d6 fire dmg each round) from the alchemist's fire component that I added to Burning Hands. Xivio draws his wand of magic missile and sends a bolt of force into the fetchling. force dmg: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Xivio moves closer and then tries burning the fetchling off of the wall. Burning Hands - I think since the fetchling is 10' up, the cone can be angled so that it doesn't hit the other Pathfinders? Using 1 point of Arcane Reservoir to boost the caster level by 2. Also using one Alchemist's Fire as a Material component. Fire dmg: 4d4 ⇒ (3, 4, 4, 2) = 13 DC 16 Reflex for half. If save is failed, the fetchling catches fire as per Alchemist's Fire. Since the fetchling is climbing it would ordinarily lose its Dex bonus (but might have an ability that negates that). I think even in that case sneak attack doesn't apply since Burning Hands isn't an "attack" but in case I'm wrong about that... sneak attack if it applies: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8

Ive seen a few threads about Collar of the True Companion, but there seems to be some conflict on how it really works. My question is if it is used on an animal companion do they remain your companion after one week? the description of the item says "If the collar is worn for at least 1 week by a creature of the animal type, the creature is raised to humanlike sentience, as though by the awaken spell. " im assuming this means it gains the intelligence boost exclusively, not being effected by anything other effects of awaken |
