Vlad looks down at the bblood the orc is covered with. I do believe that is a doppelganger! And more proof we are normal! It bleeds yellow, we bleed red! Therefore proving we are not the monsters you fear! Vlad make his point by once again showing his cut on his hand.
Vlad sighs, doppelganger are harder to kill than you think, good sir. How about this, you may take us and question us? I give myself up to any spells you wish to cast on me, as well as any forms of interrogation save for torture.
Turning to Ken, he explains to her... doppelganger are shapeshifters who take on the identity of others, replacing them completely.
Vlad sighs, he pulls a bolt from his quiver and cuts his hand. He holds it up to show the blood. I bleed red, do I not? And if you do the same then are we not both alive? Where we both not born into this world from a mother who carried us inside them, are we both not to die when we grow old or a monster shortens out jouney? If so the only thing keeping me alive right now is you not firing. How then can we tell you are not all monsters yourselves?
Vlad presents his holy symbol to the men. Hold your fire! We are sevants of the gods, holy and pure. We know not how we got here, but have slain a creature who held us captive. Who might I be speaking with?
Vlad sighs and looks down at the orc. If it is such an issue I can stay as well, at least I can fight at a distance, and heal a little if needed. I'll just get in the way of a bunch of sword swingers... or more accurately, you'd get in my way.

He clambers up the chute, behind the others. Vlad makes sure to step on the greatest mass as he climbs the bodies, the torso mostly. He then makes sure he's prepared to attack anything on the other side...
Vlad looks at Dervak with some confusion. Taking the bones is a right. It is part of an honor to Pharasma. I lay the bones out in an order showing the length of one's life, a circle to be exact..I then lay a scroll at each end, one with the name of a recently born, the other a recently dead. I then chant some hymns, but I can't recall from where... I know I've done this before, but how is why is beyond me. As for walking on the dead, you may do so if you pay respects before and after. Treat the dead with respect, and the living with the same... in simpler terms, treat the dead as respectfully as the living. And treat those who taint both with the punishment they deserve.
Vlad looks at the bodies and frowns. If it's undead you worry about, then burn the bodies as we leave... I'm taking my trinkets, however.
Vlad takes the pinky bone from several of the bodies. He doesn't say why... perhaps it is just some strange ritualistic thing...
@GM: FYI- the finger taking is for the bones. It's an obedience thing for pharasma. I'm assuming anyone who wants to can make a religion know check to figure that out... likely 15 for the DC...
Vlad watches the woman transform. "I wonder why I feel as if that is hardly the strangest thing I've seen... no matter, I'm sure you have more physical skill than I. Vlad draws his crossbow and loads a bolt, he then draws his mace in his left hand. He follows the others, near the middle of the marching order.
Vlad lifts his holy symbol. I can burn sinners... or power myself with judgment for the sins of my foes. I also have some minor spellcasting, but not too powerful.
Vlad finds the crossbow that fits so well in his grip. once he has determined what is his he picks it all up. he holds up a gold-sack, and jingles the contents. he opens it up and sees the twenty silver pieces within, be counts them to make sure, and somehow he knows none are missing. He picks up the two quivers... one holding a set of silvered bolts, while the other had normal bolts. He pulls the Cetus over his right hand and places the mace at his belt, before putting the crossbow in its holster. He adjusts the leather armor over his body, before donning the trench coat among his things. All across the coat are symbols and scripture. It has no magical effect, but it's enough to make a vampire balk.
With that he quickly pulls out his holy text and reads the all too familiar first lines.
So, he says, I'm all set, i may have to ask for more magic, but my skills lie not is magic, but in my aim.
He quickly uses one of the blades on his Cetus to cut the tip of one of the fingers off of the woman, at the knuckle.
Vlad introduces himself and turns to theo. They both have feathered quills. Vlad smiles smugly to himself and returns to the conversation. If we find weapons we would be much better deffended. Perhaps we could find our belongings?
Vlad looks at the necklaces, seeing if they are one of his...
I know I serve Pharasma. the lady of graves. If I am here then it is fated that we where to meet. although, perhaps these aren't the best circumstances but it happened for a reason.
if one holy symbol is for pharasma, he will take it.
vlad is a ranged supporter. i will be focusing on the usage of repeating crossbows and crossbows in general. in melee, he will be a little iffy, but will do his best to move away and use his crossbow, usually taking a five foot step then fire, and reload on his next turn. will be investing in a lot of the ranged feats.
Vlad looks at The mess the half-elf made. the red blood makes him flinch for a moment. I would rather she suffered. but now she lies forever in her eternal sleep... hearing Jayson speak of a necklace... I too have a symbol of faith. I'm afraid my spell didn't work because I was missing one. i may recognize it when i see it.
if you don't mind, is it fine if Vlad had previously branded himself with his holy symbol? as the cantrip Brand. it will simply glow whenever a holy symbol of his faith is near. It has no power behind it. perhaps right now the brand has been marred so he can't identify it... just seeking approval. it will likely be on his back. On his shoulder blade just want some fluff, perhaps it was put there by his church? i don't know, just a hint at his past.
I believe it was a sling made from her chest wraps. other than that, Vlad is an unorthodox fighter anyways. I may take the feat "catch off guard", just so I can use improvised weapons without penalty. although I want to focus more on my ranged fighting.
Vlad calls down his god's power, he takes a step back and casts a spell on his improvised blade Casts magic weapon With the power of... my god, I grant myself the power to strike you! his hand-saw thing glows faintly.
Vlad sees the Damage the woman-thing has done to the Pony and he frowns. You are a Foul being! I shall rein Judgment upon your head, Justice for those who's life you have taken! Uses judement, using the Justice version
he Charges forward with what he assumes to be a hand saw and attacks the Foul woman-creature.
@Vlad: I can't make sense of the way you are listing skills. What does 4/2/1 for intimidate mean for example?
sorry, this is how i put my skills :P
the first number is the ranks+ any class bonus, the second number is my ability bonus, the third number is any other bonuses.
I put my skills like this to help myself keep track of where things come from, so in case i loose my Dex bonus or such, get drain from somewhere, or have an item that gives me a bonus.
since the DM usually doesn't have to look at these, I keep track of them like this. It's a habit of mine.
vlad knows that there is in fact weapons around. He goes for the surgical tools the woman had been using and grabs teh biggest blade shaped one he could find he then turns to the woman and casts a cantrip at her. Casting acid splash Attck:1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 15+1 guidence :P DMG:1d4 ⇒ 4

Vlad is unsure of what this is. Why was he here, was there something wrong... And where is here in the first place? Vlad quickly takes in his surroundings and checks his waist for his crossbow.. he smiles when he finds it there. No-one will kill anybody! Unless you don't have awnsers to my problems. Where am I!? Glad draws his crossbow and aims it at the woman... however he has forgotten to load a bolt...
That, or it is within the confines of our mindscape, where our sanity is surely to be shattered and thrown to the great old ones to munch away... pretty sure Cthulhu won't mind and doesn't care at all. In fact, this is probably his doing...

Vlad shouts with defiance as the blade falls... he will never give in... he will rise again in the blood that birthed him if he has to. he will be back again, to finish it all... he lifts his left arm to block the blow, hoping that it will provide enough protection to fire a shot off with is crossbow in his right hand... but alas... all was not in his favor.

Yes we are going to use the background skills from umchained. Depends on how the rest of the AP pans out I would like to make use of the background skills
Wonderful! because Vlad has Craft(silversmithing) and profession(soldier) ;)
I'm planning on using the silversmithing to craft silver weapons at the most, otherwise it is everything a RL silversmith does. spoons, knives, plates, bullets, guns, things that are "for show" rather than use... otherwise he'll probably be using a lot of silver coins as well, although he won't make silver coins unless he has approval and some silver ore :P
As for the soldier, pure fluff as well as some conventional use.
although the Craft could just go into smithing, because silversmithing is more a profession :/
i could just imagine him throwing silver coins at a vampire... or melting them into a cross/holy symbol :P
