Valerie has no insight on the origin of trolls. She cares more about their ends. She talks to Bartholomew, "I trust, of course, that when you are done with the Troll, you will dispose of it properly? We can't have it set loose so close to our capitol. Burn it to ashes when you are done."

"I can make my weapon acidic for a little while. Not long." Valerie doesn't believe the stories of Trolls resisting fire. She whispers to Faerin, Octavia, and Pyros"This man is badly injured, and possibly delusional. We should arrange to have him brought to the capitol for treatment."

If Valerie can make it to the fey figure, she'll take the AoO from the spider and concentrate on her, if not she'll stay on the spider, circling to flank.

Valerie's face is grim with concentration. Somehow, the look and the sweat of battle is beautiful on her. She focuses on her training, swinging defensively. Defensive stance with +1 Bastard sword +11, +2 AC, 1d10 +7, 17-20, x2 Raising AC to 30

"let me offer a different opinion. It is the nobility who will decide the fate of our kingdom. As a former noble myself, I know that the common people are tied to the land, but the rich flock to the place with the best parties. We should hold the banquet to encourage nobility and Merchants to come to our land. A thriving economy and strong relations are the best way to ensure peace." I'm actually indifferent.

That particular project requires the Baron's personal attention along with either Treasurer, Councilor, or Regent. I think we should of course, add to our territory. That's the whole point of the game. I'd pick the Treasurer to assist.

Pyros Aldori wrote: "We do need to do that. Would you handle that, Faerin? If you feel you need escort, perhaps Amiri would be willing to accompany you." he turns to Valerie "While they're doing that, Valerie could you assist me in visiting the outlying areas and ensuring there will be no trouble there?" "That is exactly what I'd like to do." She pauses "Are you so quick to split our forces, my lord? It's the opposite of the tactical recommendation for small squad. However, running a nation might require such a split." Splitting up makes perfect sense in this situation, but I don't want to do it without the DM's approval, since it can create twice as much work for him. I'm also wondering if we could rebuild Nettle's crossing? You can't in the video game, but it would be very useful to us to have it working. It'll increase trade, and decrease the time needed to cross the the East.

Faerin Cordova wrote: "We will eventually explore much of it." Faerin replies assuredly. "While I'm sure there are bandits and other dangers aplenty, there is also much beauty in the wild unexplored spaces, Valerie." "I don't have much use for beauty, wild spaces or not." Valerie flicks her hair. She wishes she had cut it even shorter. She points to an unexplored area of the map, near the town. "We need to make sure the few miles around our town are safe. I wouldn't want to leave just to have the place overtaken by mites or whatever."

Valerie Medvyed stands in the Hall of the former bandit lord's fort. She's looking over a map of the new country's lands. Her blonde hair is not just cut short, but ragged, like she cut it herself with her sword. She absolutely has "Helmet hair," and she does not care. Her face is beautiful, but her expression is grim. She wears full plate that shines, not because it is well cared for, but because it is magic. Her blade is in a simple sheath. "Too much unexplored lands." she mutters to herself."Could be full of more bandits or worse." Valerie can't stand not knowing what is in the new country.

Quote: Also, notice there is no longer an exotic weapon group. Instead any character that has a special class feature or racial feature that gives them proficiency in what was normally an exotic weapon instead gains Weapon Focus with that weapon. I'm reading through the OOC thread now, and I saw this. I took Exotic weapon (Bastard sword)as my first level feat to properly play Valerie. Should I swap it for something? |
