There was a Lot of Talk about "The Healer's Handbook" and a very cool Sarenrae religious trait- Envoy of healing (when using:channeling heal,Lay on Hands" re-roll 1's, If a 1 again must take it).
I play lots of Clerics of Sarenrae.

I ordered the book and it arrived "During a Online Game Con." That day, I built and Played a new PC's with that Trait.
Additional resources came out months later, and removed from PFS.
(I spent $15.00 to use a trait, and Can't use it)

Now what do I do with the new PC? I built a Paladin and dipped 1 level Cleric at 3rd. I went Sarenrae just for the Trait. ( Travel Domain is best for tanks ) I would have chosen another Diety.

When my error was pointed out. " There are no rules saying you Can use the trait in PFS".
Do we NOT buy new books until the PFS group gives it's "stamp of approval"? It's from Piazo. Not a 3rd party book.

I purchased the Advanced Race Guide to get a Aasimar but the rule changed. Need Boon (25 convention games no boons won). Wand of Abundant Ammo, Nerf. (Bought a book for a cool spell) "If the Wand is full charged may sell back for 2PP, if used 1PP." Now this.
I am sure others are in the same Spot. What do we do.

AP# 92 Giant's pledge has a item Glory Medallion Dedicated to Iomedae. Is it available to Clerics of Sarenrae and other gods?

Can a Phylactery of Channeling be made into another item. like a crown? It and the Headbands share the same place.

The lance in the Core book. Says a Lance can be used with 1 hand while mounted. Do they get the 2 handed bonus, 1.5 X Strength bonus? Technically, the knight is using her entire body. Held in the hand and tucked under the arm against the body. I have never seen a Jousting knight use 2 hands on the weapon. Does this mean that "The Mounted lancer" will never receive the X 1.5 strength bonus.
I don't think the FAQ "bastard sword" applies here.
(I just had a funny vision of a line of several hobbits running with a full size Lance.)

I play PFS/PF RPG and mostly Clerics. I have a few clerics of Sarenrae with the Sun Domain. How do I use "Nimbus of light"?
I looked it up in the Rules section and found a post from 2009
"What type of action is it to activate/deactivate Nimbus of Light (Cleric Sun Domain ability)?
Posted Answer: standard action unless it says otherwise.
Myself do not agree. I have served my deity for 8 levels. I think it should be like a Paladin's" Lay on hands-self" Swift action. Was hoping it was updated.
So How do I use the ability?
Level 8 Cleric.(use 8 rounds)
Turn 1. Move action: Get into Position, Standard Action: Activate "Nimbus", {Undead take damage, Darkness dispelled ect. }That is 1 of 8 "uses per day"
Turn 2. Nimbus is still activated (?) I get a move and a standard action.
As my standard action I channel energy to harm undead. Nimbus "does it's thing" 2 of 8 uses.
End of Turn. All undead are destroyed. But Other opponents are still in combat.
Turn 3. I no longer need the Nimbus of light ability. On my Standard action do I De-Activate it? and use another "usage 3 of 8".
Or on my standard action I am free to "cast a spell or attack" as normal.
I am sorry if this seems Stupid but I will be reaching level 8 or play a cleric with this ability and want to Do it corectly. Thank You.

Does a PFS mission assigned by the Venture Captain allow violations in class?
As a Cleric,I am proud to serve Sarenrae and preach the gospel.
(don't want to be a spoiler)I played a game where the party had to infiltrate a area controlled by opponents. We had to hide our identity.
Many of us felt very uncomfortable doing this.
I am considering playing a Paladin. Hiding the fact that she/he is a Paladin is sort of a lie. When the mission is assigned, should some PC's say "I can't go on this mission, it is a violation of my code".
Do the Goals of a PFS mission allow for minor indiscretions?
We also pledged to further the goals of the Pathfinder Society.

I am looking over the Cavalier and just don't get it. If he is a mounted terror, why doesn't he start with the Mounted Combat feat?
Besides the advantage of a mount, which is great. A fighter can get the skills via feats at each level. I have not gotten past 10th level, so lets keep it lower level.
I am playing 2 mounted knights, 2 different games. First is just fighter: mounted combat, ride by attack, spirited charge. Challenge does get better at higher levels. Banners help on the Charge. But if you don't have the ride by attack , you only charge 1 then you are in combat.
I know I am missing something. I like humans but when I get a mount, It has to be left behind when we go underground. GM make it difficult to enter with the mount.
would love some build ideas. Halfling would be great.

I like the pre-gen druid concept. I play PFS
I want a build a Gnome Druid character that can ride a Dog.
stats:12(for-2)/14/12/12/14/14 This is my first Druid, Don't know what feats to get. Thinking Mounted Combat, ride by @ 3rd?
I want to keep it Core game approved.
I am going to take a Leopard animal companion, with the Combat Reflexes feat. I don't get to play much, I want the 4th level advancement.

How do characters in PFS get Dragon hide armor. Does my group have to slay a dragon then have it's hide made into shields and Armor.

Is the PF player Companion" Animal Archive" PFS usable? I love the picture of the white tiger in armor. (Later I would like to get a battle trained Tiger as a mount.)
I did consider a 1st level fighter dip to use a Lance and have Mounted Combat and ride by attack feats.
Any help from Druids on how to upgrade their Cat companion is appreciated.

I only play PFS games. Mostly at game conventions.
Getting ready for a game a player stated "Why are common items the same price on a Chronicle sheet as they are in the book?"
*Some Chronicle sheets have special items and Wonds with only a few charges. Yes, if an items is found early in the game it can be used by the group.
Most adventures begin in a large settlement where Armor and Weapons are at stsndard book prices.

Why don't the players get a Discount on purching commom items from a Chronicle sheet? A +1 Sword is the same cost in a city as "Hard fought" items found in a adventure?

When do you Have to choose a Trait? Can a Character "hold" a trait slot until she qualifies for a desired trait. Example the ugly cleric, chr 12. At 3rd level the cleric earns a Trait and wants "selective channel" which requires a Chr of 13. She will get a Stat bonus @ 4th level. She increases her Chr +1 to 13. She is meets the min chr to take the Feat.

During a Game convention,I played 8 PFS games and my character leveled up several times. I had a Pregem credit(7th level). I went from 6th to 8th level real quick.
{There is not a lot of time between games(especially if they run longer).}

I spent my time on spells and stat increases. I Forgot I earned a Trait at 7th level. I was 8th level when It was pointed out to me.
Can I choose a Trait being a 8th level character? 8th level gives me a stat increase which could qualify me for a Trait, I cound not get at 7th level.

A friend told me that Summon Animal spells are real useful. I would like to get a "Pet". "PF PC Animal Archive" has lots of Animals for sale and some come trained.
How does Training a animal (Dog of Wolf)using the Handle Animal skill work in PFS? It takes 4 weeks to train a Animal for Combat in the Core Rulebook.
(This is for my 1st level Cleric for Defence/protection.) Is it done during the "Day Job check"?

Silver Crusade

Ogar's RPG guide says a Alchemist can brew a Cure lt wound potion. With that brew, they are able to use a "wond of Cure lt wounds".
It was also stated (by another player) "Alchemists don't Cast spells, therefore they Can't use Wonds".
Can a Alchemist Use a wond that matches a spell/potion in their book?

I like playing my Archer/ Healer cleric, level 8. I don't get the chance to play PFS very often, so I will not be getting to higher levels. I want to build a Mele Combat cleric. I don't like the "diminished casting ability" with archtypes. I have Pre-gen character credit(games) to apply.

I thought about Multi-class with 1 level of Fighter to get heavy armor use and access to Feats that require BAB +1.
I plan to get Mytheral armor when the character can get the gold.

Is Multi-classing this character a Bad Idea?

This will be my first Character that will use a shield. I was thinking of using a Morning star. I like the bonus: skills, feat, stat of Humans.
I have not selected traits. The Cleric Domains will be Healing and Luck with no diety favored weapon.

I am still working on ability stats but Wis,Str and Con will be important. A chr of 12 will give me selective channel of 1. Although I am use to not having that feat.

My main character is a Buff/Healer and I like that role. With this new character, I can use Bull strength on myself now

I discovered PFS at DunDraCon. I played Valeros 3 back to back games. I did not have time to purchase the book or to start another character.
I don't want to play Valeros. Can I create a new character and apply the 3 chronicles to her?
How?: Use the Valeros character number (#1)and redo the stats/feats ect.

Silver Crusade

I play a Cleric with the Healing Domain. How does Rebuke death work?
(core rule book pg44) Heal 1d4 +1/2 your level. Only works on creatures below 0 HP. Does it auto Stabilize?
If a PC is at -2 hp and the heal total is 5. Is he alive and stable with 3hp?
Do I need to stabilize the PC also? Or is it just to delay death? PC @ -7 rebuked for 5hp is she now @ -2hp and in need of stabilize.

My Archer/(Buff)healer cleric currently has +1 magic brestplate. I want to change to mitheral silver Armor. I have a +3 Dex and will soon have a +4.
What does it mean when medium armor becomes light?
What are the stats for Mitheral silver brestplate?

Our first level game group needs a fighter and a healer. I am having a great time playing a 1st ed D&D Paladin. A PFS fighter with point blank, precise shot and rapidshot, That worked real well. The villians had reach weapons ,so I could use the bow all the time. No melee.

I am thinking a Human Paladin, Archtype Divine Hunter. I think a paladin's bonus spells is Chr based not Int.
So far: Str 14/Dex 14/Con 13/Int 10/Wis 12/Chr 14 Not sure where to put the human +2 stat Chr or Dex. My archer has the 16 dex and the bow and AC bonus rock. Chr is important for a paladin.???
Traits: Dangerously curious magic trait-Use magic devise. I want to use a wond of cure lt wonds. unsure what also: Caretaker(healing),reactionary(initiative +2) or Armor expert. *Better trait choice welcome.
Feats: Point blank, precise shot, rapid shot. Skills:heal, sense motive, know religion. ( Are palidin's bonus skills Chr based not Int?)
Any help is greatly welcome. We will be first level and there has been character deaths, before I joined the group. I need to heal and fight at low levels. I plan to use a longsword, when I have to get up close.

I looked at the pregen ninja character, it looks interesting. In the fluff she dressed up as a monk to travel. Does the PC travel in town in disguise? Then go on the adveneture wearing the black face covering outfit?
How do you join a group? "Hi, guys I am a japanese assassin. Can I join the group?" Is it normal for a Ninjas to be walking around town in the Black outfit?
Does she join the group as a female in Disguise, Drop back and put on the black outfit and show up for the combat?
I will be playing PFS games, mostly at game Cons. I don't think make it past 5th level,so I won't hold my breath for advanced features.

I am building a new fighter and I am choosing traits. Many traits offer skills with a +1 check and the skill becomes a class skill.
Under the Faith traits "ease of faith" +1 Deplomacy and it becomes a class skill.
Do we spend a skill point to get Deplomacy, then the trait becomes class. Is Deplomacy a free skill with 1 rank if I choose "ease of faith"?

I am new to PFS. I used the pregen character Valeros who has the Toughness ability. His HP are 10 +6. OK +2 con bonus and +3 for the toughness. Where is the other 1 hp come from? I want to make another character and use this ability. I don't want to get it wrong. thanks

I am just starting Pathfinder. I played my first 3 games at DundraCon.
(Great job guys, I had Fun) I am now qualified for 2nd level. I heard about a Day Job? and Craft skills to make weapons and armor.

Someone finishing a adventure said he owned a tavern. How cool is that!

I thought Craft:weapon making would be useful. The Guide to PFS,lists craft feats not allowed. No making magic weapons at higher levels? crafting "mundane items" is not allowed? Isn't that making wooded spoons and basic things like that?
Can I take the craft: weapon feat and make masterwork weapons?
(After paying the extra 300gp for materials, using masterwork tools)
Would I work at a PC/NPC's Blacksmith shop or have to set up my own?

My second choice is a Brew master. I would love to own a tavern, sometime in the future. Thanks
