Which goblin class deck may I use Nok-Nok with?

Question - if I discard tetisurah for its second power to explore and encounter a monster card that does not have a cold, maftet or Sphinx traits, does Zetha get a 1d12 (from tetisurah' second power) if I use Ahtez's power for the combat check to add the cold and melee traits?

I want to say yes but need a sanity check just to make sure I am reading "checks against banes that invoke the cold trait..." Is it the check or the bane that has a cold trait?

yes i can't wait for this for ios

That's a good question! The short answer is that I'm not.

I just finished WotR with my primary group this weekend. We crushed Deskari, which was a lot of fun and felt like a good capstone, but I haven't really liked WotR as a whole. The difficulty is much too swingy in adventure design, and the ability to super-charge rolls feels gimmicky and not ultra-heroic to me. It's definitely my least favorite of the 3 APs released so far. The others I game with disagree (disliking RotRL most for being too easy, and S&S most for being too difficult-barrier-heavy, respectively), so I'm aware I don't share a common belief here. But it's hard for me to get motivated to revisit an AP I didn't love.

On a personal level, most of my writing and design time has been working on adventure path chapters for the RPG line (#108 Hell Comes to Westcrown, #111 Dreams of the Yellow King, and another that hasn't been announced yet), so by the time I'll be able to turn to designing another full alternate AP, I'll probably do so for Mummy's Mask, or for some combination of the previously released APs (which would include, but not focus on, WotR).

This saddens me. :( But I understand. Thanks for putting in the great work you do on the RPG line and custom acg adventure paths with stories and elements. It's phenomenal.

If I encounter a non-villain monster with an adventure deck number of 4 or less, do i still make the roll for the check to defeat to determine if i take damage or do i just automatically pass the check to defeat and they are defeated?

This is the first I am hearing of this and I am excited

Ok that's what I thought. I am just wondering why the reward was worded the way that it was instead of the more simpler way of saying it.

Question - does the blessing that you pull from the game box with an adventure deck number of 1 go into your deck as an upgrade? or do players just upgrade to a blessing with an adventure deck 1 from their class deck box?

It does. Thanks all.

The reason why I ask is because the card doesn't specify a timing window,

One of my group members justified it as you can play the card any time you are allowed to play the card which I guess the closest but broad from the rulebook would be this from the

The Rise of the Runelords FAQ said wrote:

Just read the card. If it says it does something, it does that, and doesn't do anything else that's not specified in this rulebook. If the card doesn't say when it can do what it says, it can do it whenever the situation is applicable and you're allowed to play cards at all.

Quote:
Resolution: On page 10 of the rulebook, under "Playing Cards", add this as the first sentence: "Anyone can play a card whenever the card allows it."

But the damage explanation specifies some things but doesn't look to be an exhaustive list of why one can/can't do during that step:

Quote:

Taking Damage

When you are dealt damage, you and other players may play cards and use powers that reduce or otherwise affect the specific type of damage you’re being dealt. If you’re being dealt Fire damage, for example, you may play cards that reduce Fire damage, or cards that reduce all damage, but you may not play cards that reduce only Electricity or Poison damage. Each player may play no more than one of each card type to affect damage to the same character from the same source. If a card says it reduces damage, with no type listed, it reduces all types of damage.

When you are dealt an amount of damage, choose that number of cards from your hand and discard them. If you don’t have enough cards in your hand, discard your entire hand and ignore the rest of the damage.

Placing this question here because the text of the card is in the OP

Situation: Kyra fails a combat check by five. She now has to discard 5 cards for damage. Righteousness is in the player's hand.

Question: can the player play righteousness to recharge those cards, in the same window a player would play an armor to reduce the amount of damage taken?

GM Reward, Duty Is Its Own Reward: Unlock the ability to play Arueshalae in Season of the Righteous. Before the first time you play her, choose whether to play her as a starting character, or as a Tier 4 character in Adventure 4 and higher scenarios. If you play her as a starting character, you do not gain access to her Owner cards until Adventure 3 or higher. If you play her as Tier 4, choose 3 skill feats, power feats, and card feats, and choose a role and gain another power feat. Only one player may play Arueshalae in a session.

(Clarification: The Owner cards referred to on the Reward are the Loot cards. You still start with the Arueshalae's Gift cohort. )

You are the governor!!! Cheers!

So if we choose her to be a tier 4 character, how many deck upgrades does she receive?

Is the total number of cards shuffled for Grazzle's shuffle power that heals each other character the number of cards total among the party, or the total each player may heal?

Tanis, quick question about Arushalae:

I play in a playgroup that isn't part of a organized play in our area but we follow pretty strict to the OP rules. I was thinking of letting people in our play group play Arushalae using the Rogue Class Deck. When the boon was given out at gencon, how did the award go? Was she able to start out with her owner cards as well?

I am currently waiting on my Broken Token insert to dry (needed just a smidgen of wood glue to keep it together) before putting everything in the box and playing through the first ten scenarios.

There's a little raised pocket / shelf in one corner of the BT insert that is a perfect storage place for the mythic tokens.

Is the box the same size as the SnS Box?

Nope. I went ahead and emailed customer service. Hoping they can get back to me tomorrow with some answers.

Question about this: I looked on my subscription, which I haven't cancelled upon Skull and shackles completion, and it said that my most recent product shipped was SnS adventure 6 and the next one up to ship is WotR adventure 2.

How come the base set and character add-on deck are not shipping as part of my sub? do i need to contact customer support about this?

This is awesome! And adventure 1-2 as a compiled pdf would come out on my bday if it sticks to the planned schedule. That would make for a wonderful bday week of playing with Pathfinder with the rest of the group!

Out of curiosity, can we get this as a subscription? (Obvi the nominal price doesn't dictate more discounts) It would be nice to have it so people like me who have no PFS near me and at my store, don't have to keep refreshing your product page just I see if adventure 6 was out. :)

So, next week is when we will get the adventure 6?

God I am so excited.

Out of curiosity, why would anyone want to cancel out of the base set and then resub for the character deck onwards? Is it because of shipping?

Super excited. Question about seelah's first power: does that apply to any check or would it only apply to checks in text boxes that say "before you act"?

Question: we are about to replay rise of the runelords, can we add these promos when building our deck for the first time if we are playing the iconic?

Speaking of which, when would the release be?

These minis are fantastic. The detail on the clothes are fantastic!

If I recharge a card with a divine trait to add my divine skill while using the Greyflame Mace +2, am I allowed to use modifiers that affect my divine skill i.e. Headband of inspired wisdom? Would evangelist and the 1d6 apply as well?

Question: do we still get the power feat at the end of the fourth adventure.

I other words how many power feats should we have at the end of adventure 4 including the adventure reward?

Will adventure path 0-4 setup instructions be changed/clarifies as well? Currently it doesn't say to remove cards from the box for b,c,p, and 1 set numbers. Or was this intended? Or am I reading this wrong?

Two questions: how can you tell something is printed in the second edition? And does skulls and shackles suffer from that as well?

Awesome. Thank you to both of you for doing this!

So I just filled out the form. Anything else I have to do besides wait? I was interested in multiple die.

Fantastic job. There was no mention of the Set Type indicator of P for Promo. Are we not supposed to be playing with the promos?

What is the verdict on this?

I saw on a different thread that scenario 3 is out. I am guessing it was provided to all the captains and lieutenants before placed in the online store. When are these scenarios usually placed on the store for purchase? Our group would really like to purchase it.

1. Can one still get a upgrade for failing to complete a scenario? As I understand it, if you fail the scenario you don't get the scenario reward but the guide/rulebook (unless I am blind) makes no mention of deck upgrades being ok or not ok in a failed instance.

2. On the Chronicle/Session sheet, if we failed a scenario and then we immediately retry, both tries on the scenario get their own section correct?
