I think not fully understanding the PF grappling rules is not considered a sin by 99% of PF players.

Is it Turan's turn also? He's not listed in the initiative order and that is what Erastil considers a true sin...

Turan sees the enemy and decides offense goes over defense. The large man rushes forward while spinning his staff in an intricate motion bringig it down on the spider.

Ouch totally misread the flowing monk bonus feats kind of makes my above build a bit pointless.

If you want a decent to good AC you should definetly consider Crane Style (with Sansetsukon and 3 ranks of Acrobatics it adds +5 to AC for -2 to attack).

Turan will no blattering fool is no hunter and unfamiliar with the silent steps. Thus he lets those more slight of foot move ahead but keeps as close as feasible should they get into trouble.

Fighting defensively is not equal total defense. Might want to read up on that it's be my standard modus operandi. Fighting definsively gives tuan -2 to attack +4 to AC thanks to crane style and my weapon's blocking property

Turan moves to confront the next slime creature and spins his staff in a high arc bringing it down on the creature with blinding speed.

Move ideally to flank. Continue raging and as last round fight defensively AC becomes 24. Attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 if flanking add in +2 bonus damage 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12

The large Shoanti warrior hops of the skiff and then follows the Elf inside with some distance holding an odd three piece staff, wich is connected via thin link in his large hands.

After the rather odd meeting with his new employer and colleagues has concluded Turan returns to his room which he has rented in a rather ramshackle house. It is simple but has a mattress and a window and really that is all the stoic warrior needs.

In the morning after his daily exercises and a light breakfast he returns to the Pathfinder Lodge to meet up and discuss a battle plan.

Sometimes he wished to work with normal people, then again the colorful folk was one of the things that had drawn him to the Pathfinder Society in the first place.

A slight smile slips across Turan's lips as the Elf comments on the mages sanity. He then turns to the anemic looking man that has joined them and offers a court bow.

Another human male has entered the room behind the babbling Varisian. He is far taller and broader of shoulder. He wears a black silken robe over what looks to be a Breastplate of good make.
From the looks of him you might mistake him for a barbarian of the Shoanti tribes but he bears none of the typical tattoos and his garb seems a bit outlandish. He wears a short cropped beard and his head is shaved bald, the white in his beard makes the man look much older than he probably is and his clear blue eyes can not hide a certain hunger.
He looks to the Hedgemage, disdain clear in his eyes as the man rambles without end and takes his time to study everyone in the room. Then after a time his eyes are fixed on the hostess and then when the Mage's monologue has ended. He steps forward bows deeply to Sheila Heidmarch and speaks in a deep and steady voice while maintaining the bow.

Before you stands the honorable Turan who wlaks the Steppe. Agent of the Pathfinder Society at your service Lady Heidmarch!

Howdie everyone! Very much looking forward to gaming with you!

While I'm rarely new to the Paizo boards I'm a fairly veteran PbP player playing for 6 or so years. I tend to post once or twice a day as I'm in my office and in the evenings here in Central European time.

My Character Turan is mainly a tank with good AC, to hit and damage. Besides he has some useful skills in random knowledges and Perception.

I envision him as a stoic hero a proud warrior with self control and a man who has seen much but not enough for his own tastes.


Wanted to get the profile up quickly before you closed submission so the background was very bare bones. Have fleshed it out a bit more.

Turan Walks the Steppe is a Shoanti tribesmen who one day decided he wished to walk east. He walked all the way to Embral Ocean which he then crossed by ship. In the east he studied the ways of the warrior and after having learned his lesson he decided to return to Varisia to teach his tribe what he had learned. Two decades later he has returned but his tribe dismissed him as outlandish and mad. To still his longing for discovery he has joined the Pathfinder Chapter in Magnimar recently and seeks to serve the society to the best of his abilities while venturing whereever his missions might take him.
