I wonder what would happen if I put a foxes head on the cat skeleton, then raised it? Well, first, I'll need to get a fox. Cat's are all over the place, no problem there, but haven't found a fox anywhere.

Well, that was a bust. Hmm. Did I fully remove all the meat from the bones? That might have been the problem. I need to make sure that the ant farms are functioning properly. Who'd have thought ants were the best way to clean up bones? Don't like Zombies - they stink too much. Skeletons are best.

Experience:

I have played PbP games for over 10 years, though only a few times with Pathfinder. I started with Legend of the Five Rings; then moved to GMing a few 1-3 month sessions. Now, I'm here for Pathfinder.

I tend to find angles to play on, not necessarily the obvious ones, but something to make the character different, and their own person. Sometimes one line or skill pops to the fore, sometimes an area (when playing in a geographically limited game). Can't wait to see how Zacarias grows!

The weak Leshy seems the most likely agreement, though why you would want to seems beyond me. Hopefully more little monsters will be coming soon.

Nothing stops the Banshee from having landed the round before, or ending it's movement less than 10 feet from the ground, so it takes no damage from the fall.
At least, that was my first thought.

I'm currently thinking of a Varisian Card-reader/Diviner. Used for Battlefield control and the like. Still mulling.

Also would ask. I love wizards, and have several build ideas that could be used, which would not interfere with another's build. Alternatly, an Arcanist could be interesting.

Perhaps also the best way to USE a library, particularly a research library.

Don't forget, Defilers are reviled, while Preservers are often disbelieved. So, maybe some form of Deception, to make others think they are using Psionics, or divine magic.

And, it is possible to switch from Preserver to Defiler fairly easily (don't use the extra action, or fail the save and continue the spell anyway, however it's chosen), but it's really hard to move from Defiler to Preserver.

Something like the original Sa'hir, where the spells don't come as quickly as other casters, but you have the potential to gain access to other spell lists, or even higher level spells on your list, but it takes a longer period of time to do.

Perhaps with cantrips available, and some small thing, like the focus spells, that could be done without the gen, but the little elemental mini-genie is the way to gain access to the cool stuff. But, hey, might have to pay him, or convince him somehow.

Also willing to contribute a couple PP to this. The only game I think he would qualify for, would be the second in this sequence you mentioned early on. Are you still running the next story, for us to join?

Toshi, still moved 20 feet over because each square is 10 feet, not 5, again aims an Acid Dart.

Aiming at Lion, if it's already dead by this point, at the guy who was riding it.
Touch attack with Acid Dart[/dice: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

However, his acid dart drops into the acid pit, doing nothing.

If I have only one metamagic feat - Intensify spell - can I use it on spells that don't actually benefit from it, in order to raise the spell's level, for more castings per day?

Does it matter if it's like using it on Fireball if you are level 7, and won't gain one way or the other?

What about a spell with static damage, not changed by spell level, like Spiked Pit, or Flaming Sphere?

Toshi moves a little closer, heading 20 feet due east, till he is just in range (30 feet), then fires off another Acid dart at the Lion this time.

Damage if it hit: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

He considers shouting out, but this group doesn't have a bruiser like past ones he's worked with. No point in suggesting they try to knock him in the pit, if they haven't training like that.

Toshi shakes his head, and refocuses. Looking down the hall, he frowns - floating ghosts of some kind!

He hears the cry identifying them as Allips, recalls what he can about that creature type and the slightly odd looking Lion with the man.
Knowledge: Religion: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
Knowledge: Planes: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22

At least with the Lion, he was confident it wouldn't fly. So, he dropped an Acid Pit under the man, aiming to give his ally as much of a chance as he could.
Placing the corner of the pit under the Lion, then north under the Allips, and behind them, to give my ally the best chance at not falling in. DC 21 Reflex for Lion, DC 19 for those on the edges, when they end their turn there. 40 Feet deep, falling damage onto a soft surface, plus 2d6 Acid damage each round the person is in there. DC 30 to climb out, at usual speed, but for every 3 rounds inside, must make a Fort save for items, as seen on Table 9-2, core rulebook pg 216, in that order, or be broken (DC 21). If broken, must save each round or be destroyed. Walls are also acidic. Spell lasts 9 rounds.

I still have both an Acid pit and a Spiked pit. Acid has the higher DC to save against, though. I was thinking to start dropping them on him. This is if I can save against the Will save. I also have 2 Dimension Doors to escape with.

I also have an Aqueous Orb, to put in the bottom of the Spiked Pit, to make more fun and games. Thoughts?

Toshi listens to what is being said, though feels he is far enough outside events, he has nothing new to add.

When the reports of a Lion rampaging come, he begins to head that direction- his current spell load is much better suited to a Lion!

He hurries in the direction of the Lion.

Toshi curses as he is well aware that this encounter is a poor one for him. He was ill-prepared for this sort of combat - time to consider spells that would work better on those in the air.

Still, he would do what little he could. He used the continuing energy of the Fireworks to send one at the near demon, then followed it up with an Acid Dart.

Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Acid Dart damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Snapdragon Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
And another DC 18 save to negate the Dazzled and half the damage of the Firework. The Dart ignores SR.

Toshi grows angry with himself for missing a chance, then fires off the 'free' firework at the woman. It isn't much, but every little bit counts.

Then, he draws on the power of his last weak Pearl of Power to recall the snowball spell one last time, and casts it at the hovering woman.

Still don't know if that hits, but including damage as if it did. Also, need another Reflex DC 18 to avoid Dazzle, and cut firework damage in half

Toshi notes that she is now within range, and reaches down with one hand to rub a pearl in a pouch. With that, he recalls a spell, and casts a Snowball at the woman. He is lucky enough that a small gap in the crowd opens at just the right time to give him a straight shot.

She must make a DC 18 Reflex save, for half damage, and to not be dazzled for one round (-1 to attack and perception). Hits all figures in the targeted square, including smaller ones, like familiars. Long range spell. I can use my move action to fire another off for 7 more rounds.

Quick overview on Haste:
Increase movement by 30 feet per round, to a maximum of double normal speed.
+1 to attack, +1 dodge to AC, and +1 Reflex saves.
When making a full attack action, you may make an additional attack at full bonus with one natural attack, or manufactured weapon. Not cumulative with other effects that grant such a bonus, like Speed weapons or the like.

This lasts 8 rounds.

He backs up, then, moving behind the others. Then, once he is behind several of his comrades, out of the guards immediate sight, starts to cast as spell of protection on himself.

casting Mage Armor on myself, for total of +3 AC. If no-one interferes, or starts combat immediately, I will follow this up with Haste. If we enter combat first, that is my first action, targeting all allies within 30 feet of me.

Toshi gives a short bow of greeting. "This halfling, the only survivor, I fear, attacked us without provocation on our part. We merely visited his Lordship's manor, and requested to meet with him, or with those he might already have met with. His Chamberlain, Ionnia, and one of our company were poisoned, then they attacked. Thankfully, with the power of the Gods" he nods at the inquisitor (and cleric, if he has re-revealed himself) "we prevented the attack, and stemmed the tide of the poison."

Toshi, knows a few other things to look for on the documents. Being the son of a highly wealthy merchant in Qadira, is similar to being a noble elsewhere. Or so he thought. But, this didn't look like what he would have expected at all.

Toshi nods, then examines the situation. "I am not the best at this, but should be able to help. In fact, this is the proper situation, I think for this." He pulls out his last scroll of Bestow Insight, and casts it at the most propitious moment. Then, assisted as best he could.

That sort of damage is why I don't bother with damage spells for the most part. I prefer battleground control types. Cause I'm not likely to reach that sort of thing any time soon. Good job on the damage, though!

Seeing the halfling behind Ranalus, and the nasty blade it has, Toshi makes a motion as though packing something into his hands, while muttering a mystic phrase, then lets loose with a Snowball spell.

This is against the halfling's touch AC, but still probably missed.

Since it might be important: When in a pit, you may attempt to climb out with a Climb roll- the basic pit is DC 25. Climbing uses 1/4 movement, so a full round movement would move them up the wall half their normal move action. Curiously, if they make it up and end their turn on the top, but no further, they have to make the reflex 17 roll again, while the pit is still there.

It lasts 8 rounds, and can't be dismissed.

If they fail their climb roll, it's up to the GM, but past ones have had them either hold position, or if they missed by either more than 5, or rolled a 1, to fall back, depending on the GM. If they fall more than 10 feet from that, they take 1d6 per full 10 feet fallen.
