Merry Christmas, happy 8th day of Hanukkah, and other holiday greetings! I'd like to submit my entry for this game, a character I'd created for a previous Age of Ashes recruitment that didn't go through. Appropriately for the Festival of Lights, she's a mage who just wants to make the world shine a little brighter!

Backstory:
Henriette the Glamorous's name was known all throughout the Empire of Cheliax and the neighbouring countries. Starting her career as a brilliant and promising prodigy studying at the Egorian Academy of the Magical Arts, the golden-haired maiden soon became a welcome face around the empire's outlying settlements as she made a name for herself with the Riders of the Rising Star, a group of adventurers dedicated to protecting the weak from roving monsters and opporunistic bandits. It was also with this adventuring company that Henriette met Gustaf, a hellknight-turned-champion of Sarenrae, who slowly grew from friend to lover.
Years went by, and the two realized that adventuring was beginning to take its toll on their bodies. Eventually, after a successful raid on a duergar colony in the darklands, Henriette and Gustaf decided to retire from the adventuring life and settle down in Breachill, a small Isgeri town that provided them with an open door and warm bed on more than one adventure. To the people of Breachill, Henriette the Glamorous and Gustaf Sunrider were now Enrika and Gustaf Axer, a pair of eccentric stablemasters with a treasure trove of heroic tales to tell the kids. Rakael Axer grew up on these stories, their thrilling details springing to life in her active imagination. She was the eldest of three siblings - her twin younger brothers, Belor and Haines, aided their parents in operating the stables, while Rakael was encouraged to follow in her mother's footsteps and study the arcane arts. She even went on a so-called "adventure" to the deserts of Garund to try gain a more practical understanding of magic, but the expedition fizzled when word arrived of the return of the Whispering Tyrant, and the resulting turmoil throughout Avistan. Rakael returned home to find that her parents were summoned to bolster the ranks of Lastwall, and it wasn't long before the dreaded message arrived that they too fell victim to the lich's forces. The Axers' deaths devastated their children. The heroes who felled many a beast and saved countless commoners were somehow bested, and left their scions without much more than a stable and a few trusty steeds. While Belor and Haines took ownership of the stable, Rakael decided to take up her parents' mantle and give her brothers a new shining champion to look up to. Thus, armed with a makeshift staff and her pet ferret Ranks, Larachelle the Dazzling heeds the Call for Heroes as her first step in what would either become a disastrous end to the Axer family or a new legend to follow her parents'. Questionnaire: 1. Full Name: Larachelle Axer the Dazzling
2. Age: 20 3. Gender (strike through as appropriate): Female 4. Place of Birth: Breachill 5. Current Residence and how to contact you (for payment purposes): Axer Stables, Breachill 6. Faith (you may choose not to share this information): Shelyn 7. Current employment (please state if not applicable): NA 8. Details of your next of kin and how to contact them (in case of emergency - adventuring is dangerous): Belor and Haines Axer, Axer Stables, Breachill; younger siblings 9. How did you first hear about the Call for Heroes? Who hasn't heard of the Call for Heroes?! Never thought I'd answer it myself, though! 10. Why should we select you to aid in our call? What are your greatest strengths? Why, I am Larachelle the Dazzling, Avistan's rising star! My spells--and my smile--are second to none! No dusty old castle is too dark for my light to shine through. 11. Tell us about a time when you made a mistake. What did you do to solve it? Larachelle the Dazzling rarely has time for mistakes! But of course, during my studies, I did have some unfortunate magical mishaps, which may or may not have led to some singed hair or low-severity burns... but there's nothing a sincere smile and honest apology can't fix! 12. What do you like to do outside of your official responsibilities? Well, when I'm not working on saving the world... I'm probably entertaining my little brothers. Those gremlins are hard workers, so it's my job to cheer them up with dazzling displays and fascinating tales! 13. Is there anything else you would like us to know before the Call for Heroes? Nothing in particular. I prefer to let my deeds do the talking, so you'd best pick me and let me prove why you were right to do so!

It's been a while since I last had my share of both PbP and PF2e, but there's no time to return like the present. Hope I'm not too rusty! Here's my submission, Larachelle the Dazzling, a universalist wizard who wants to shine bright and make her little brothers proud. Character Sheet:

Heh, as someone who is not at all a car person, I can't say I completely grasp the vehicle rules... but hey, I'll manage. Eddie's vehicle of choice would likely be his band's tour van, so probably a Mercedes-Benz truck of some sort? Liking all the other submissions I'm seeing here, by the way! So many cool ideas!

Well this sounds like fun! Let's see what I can come up with. Name: Adoram "Eddie" Brodenberg

I'm currently eyeing the Average Joe archetype. I was thinking maybe a town courier who also got some training under Father Martus to become a relatively standard archer ranger, and his "secret" has to do with the animal companion or divine spellcasting? I've already got a couple of ideas to flesh that one out so I might type something down when I get the time.

Fluff has been added to August's character profile and reproduced here for your reading convenience. Feedback and other notes would be greatly appreciated! Backstory: August Guangming Haldigann was born in Kenabres in the years shortly before the launch of the Fourth Crusade, the youngest son to Alois Haldigann, a paladin of Iomedae and member of a noted crusader family; and Hong Mei-Ye, a Tien mercenary who arrived in Mendev via the Crown of the World with a merchant caravan and stayed after experiencing a call to duty from Iomedae. August's siblings, Alois Jr. and Gloria, fourteen and twelve years his seniors respectively, received a religious upbringing in Kenabres and devoted their blades to the protection of Mendev as soon as they came of age.
August's childhood, however, was different. A priest was not available at his birth, and the midwives said he was born under an unlucky star. Whereas his siblings were dutiful and diligent as children, August was reckless and rebellious, often forgoing his studies and training to go play in the questionable areas of town. Around this time, he befriended Selvin Elesteri, a charming young Varisian boy and fellow trainee who, unbeknownst to August, had been orphaned and taken in by the Sczarni in infancy. When the time came for August to graduate his studies and join the crusaders outside the walls of Kenabres, he received an offer from Selvin, a promise to join a loving family that would provide his needs while giving him the freedom to be who he wants to be. Filled with spite against the Goddess that never revealed herself to him, and estranged from his family all away on missions throughout the country, August followed Selvin to join the Kenabres Thieves' Guild. August enjoyed his first few years with the Guild. He was free to steal from and harm the church that in his mind hated and wronged him throughout his youth, and his fellow misfits were not in the least judgmental, even supporting his destructive tendencies. He slowly rose in the ranks, running errands and making contacts throughout Mendev, and in this also accidentally unveiled an uncomfortable secret: many of the higher-ups in the Guilds had strong ties to demonic cults, working alongside cultists to evade the law and extort the Guilds' marks. And then, August met Medalia. Medalia was a bright and kind young crusader from Brevoy; though her faith in Iomedae and conviction in her duty were great, she did not attempt to coerce August back into the path of righteousness, simply loving him for who he was. The couple saw each other for merely two months before one day, Medalia did not show up at their meeting spot at the arranged time. August found her body in a nearby alley, a note carved into her chest: The Labyrinth Knows. After lying low for a few months, August decided that he was going to change the course of his life and go on a journey of redemption, starting on the Armasse festival; not for the Goddess, not for Mendev, but for Medalia - and for himself. Appearance and Mannerisms: Appearance
August is a mixed-race human of medium height, around 1.75 meters, thin but of a fairly robust build. His slightly colored skin and and slanted eyes betray his Tien heritage, though his mangy brown hair is more typical of his Taldan side. A semi-circular birthmark on the back of his neck is usually hidden by his collar or hair. August's suit of studded leather armor was provided to him by his contacts in the Thieves' Guild and is a tight fit, faint brown and inconspicuous but filled with useful pockets and hidden sleeves to house the tools needed for the job. August's two trusty short swords are slung horizontally over his back alongside his short bow, while his daggers are usually stowed away in small scabbards on his right waist. Personality and Motivation
August is driven by his desire to become a better person and to find closure for his dead lover, Medalia. He does not feel any greater purpose in joining the crusade, but he has a personal vendetta against demon-kind and, perhaps, is still secretly hoping to discover Iomedae just like his family and lover did. Let's just roll 2nd level hit points... 1d8 ⇒ 1 I'd rather not risk the second roll, so I'll go for the average 5. Well then, here's my WIP character: August Guangming Haldigann, a relatively standard unchained rogue leaning heavier into combat maneuvers thanks to the Elephant in the Room rules. Potential mythic path is probably Trickster or Marshal. Backstory will be up on the character's page tomorrow when I have some time to work it through and write it up, but the gist of it is: August is a scion to a family of famous crusaders - paladins, clerics, and the like - who never heard the Goddess's call, and ended up having to provide for himself on the streets while his parents and siblings fought on the frontier. He got dragged down into dealings with the criminal guilds, and is now going on a journey to search for divine forgiveness while on the run from the guilds.

Ability score rolls: There's already plenty of incredible submissions but I might as well throw my hat into the ring; always wanted to play Wrath of the Righteous, never got the chance. I've already got an idea for a Combat Maneuver-based rogue brewing in my mind, so I'll post an update later! 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2, 3) + 6 = 17 15
3d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5, 6) + 6 = 20 17 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 1, 2) + 6 = 11 9! 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 5, 4) + 6 = 21 17 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5, 1) + 6 = 16 15 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4, 5) + 6 = 18 15 Almost excited to have a dump stat, haha!

Sepeda, the Mourning Dandelion
Sepeda is a minor goddess who oversees matters of death rites, eulogies and mourning. She views death as a pleasant occasion, the sealing of one's life story, and one that must be remembered fondly. Specifically, worshipers of Sepeda partake in a unique funerary rite: they hold a great feast in celebration of one's death, drinking until completely inebriated, dancing and jesting. Some other religions view the Sepedan rite as blasphemous and unbecoming of one's death, making cults to Sepeda secretive and reclusive.

I, too, would be interested in a game. I've been playing Pathfinder for a year and a half and have a good grasp of the rules and the setting. I'm currently playing in one Roll20 Pathfinder campaign and running the Iron Gods AP for a few friends through Roll20. My time zone is GMT+2. I'd be up for any AP or module, especially Ruins of Azlant and Crownfall, and excluding Rise of the Runelords and Iron Gods, both of which I've already read.

I (Samson Medvedev) think I need GM approval for three of my things. First is the Mooncursed barbarian archetype from Horror Adventures, as it's not on the Core list. Second is Aspect of the Beast, because RAW I don't meet any of the prerequisites. The special line says "[a] character that has contracted lycanthropy can take this feat without having to meet the prerequisites", and I think Sams' situation fits this. Lastly is the Bandit trait from Inner Sea Primer (mistakenly noted in my character sheet as People of the River).

While it is technically against your character building rules, the way he acted until now (ex. "the man isn't clever enough to try and deceive them") implies less-than-average intelligence.

Hello, TheSuperDodo here! I would like to retract Reg Littlefeet's candidacy. Instead, I present Samson "Sams" Medvedev, an exile-turned-bandit with a past he'd rather hide. Samson Medvedev:
Samson "Sams" Medvedev Male Human (Kellid) barbarian (mooncursed HA) 1 TN Medium humanoid (human) Init +4, Senses Perception +4 ================================================= DEFENSE ================================================= AC 15, touch 12, flat-footed 13 (+3 armor, +2 Dex) hp 15 ((1d12)+3) Fort +4, Ref +2, Will +0 =================================================

Brigand (Campaign) You were shamed and exiled from your community for killing your brother, leaving you to join a band of bandits. You know how to ambush travelers, bully traders, avoid the law, and camp where no one might find you. Life was pretty slow yet fair until a group of adventurers setting out into the wilderness captured you and forced you to become their indentured servitor. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, and Sense Motive checks when dealing with brigands, thieves, bandits, and their ilk. Fast Movement (Ex) Your land speed is faster than the norm for your race by +10 feet. This benefit applies only when you are wearing no armor, light armor, or medium armor, and not carrying a heavy load. Shifting Rage (Su) A mooncursed can call upon an animal totem or inner curse, transforming him into a savage beast. When using rounds of his shifting rage, instead of the usual bonuses and penalties from rage, the mooncursed transforms into a Medium bear's form as if under the influence of beast shape I, treating his class level as her caster level whenever relevant. Other aspects of rage aside from the bonuses and penalties, such as the skill restrictions on skills and effects that require concentration, still apply during a shifting rage.
Appearance:
By most means, Sams is a normal Kellid man. His dark hair is shoulder-length, his eyes a little further apart than usual, and his suit of studded leather armour is just tight enough to emphasize his muscles. One thing sets Sams apart from his brethren: the marks of shame on his face and arms. Each of Sams' fingers has a small, elongated bump rising out of it, shaped like slender claws; his arms are covered with a thick layer of hair, underneath which his skin is rough and dark; and his mouth and nose are squashed and elongated, just outside of what might seem natural. Surprisingly, Sams has a very happy-go-lucky attitude; according to him, he was already at his worst, and life can only change from the better from then on. He didn't for a moment have doubts about his occupation as a bandit, and is excited to see where his adventurer "owners" will take him next. Backstory:
Samson and Simon were loving brothers in a Kellid village. Born two years before his brother, under the blessing of the Bear - the village's totem guardian - Samson was a strong boy, and his family took pride in his brawn, even if he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Simon was scrawny and frail, but quickly proved to be one of the wittiest and most intelligent people the village has ever seen. Despite occasional friction between the two's skills, no rivalry developed. And it was so until the village's chief Shaman of the Bear was on deathbed. The village sages convened to select the Shaman's successor. It has to be someone with a deep connection to the spirit animal; one who exhibited the bear's traits and could prove himself a worthy spiritual leader. Sams was certain he will receive the honourable position, as he was the embodiment of the bear, born with his blessing and renowned for resembling him physically and mentally. However, the sages chose Simon as the next Shaman: he was more fit to be the village's spiritual leader and bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds. Sams was furious. He couldn't bear the thought that his younger brother, the weak and elitist, would trump him and become the leader. That is why, one day before he was to be anointed, Samson took his brother on a hunting trip in the woods. He led him to a dire bear's lair, threw him inside and ran away as the creature tore his brother apart. Understanding what he'd just done, Sams hid in a cave, but the spirit of the Bear manifested before him and punished him: he was to bear several deformities, marks of shame to make his crime known to all; he was never to return to his village, or bears will kill him and the entirety of the village's population; and lastly, the spirit left a piece of itself as a curse within Samson: in times of great stress or rage, he will transform into a bear himself. Devastated, ashamed of himself and without anywhere to go to, Samson decided to roam the River Kingdoms. An opportune encounter saved him from death: a group of bandits, which he managed to overpower. They invited him to join their band, and with no other choice, Sams agreed. As the years passed, Sams became used to life as a bandit. It provided food, something to pass the time with, luxuries, and a proper use for his brawn. Life was supposed to continue until retirement, but it was cut short by a group of adventurers, setting out to explore and settle the wilderness. They agreed to spare Sams' life, as long as he'd enter "indentured servitude" beneath them. Now Sams finally has a chance to do something interesting with his life, turn his curse to a positive cause, and maybe one day repent for his deeds. Note: Medvedev (Brevian slang for "like a bear"), Samson's last name, was given to him by the bandits. He was born without a last name.

Would a Virtuous Bravo paladin from Heroes of the High Court be okay, or is it too early for that? I'm thinking about a halfling Virtuous Bravo paladin of Iomedae. A Surtovan noble found him preaching in the streets of Port Ice and decided to adopt him as a "pet hero" - the idea of a short, young halfling trying to be a gallant and chivalrous hero seemed hilarious to him (I'll write a more detailed backstory should you allow the use of this archetype).

I don't actually know, but I assume the Hinterlander can't choose dragon as a favored enemy because dragons aren't common enemies in the hinterlands. They definitely are, however, unnatural threats to a settlement, so they are on the Defended Hearth list. That's just my interpretation.
Male Human Bard 3
Well, let me tell you that even if you were to completely ignore politics, the RPG community here is painfully small. I'm lucky to live in a boarding school in Jerusalem, a 30 minutes bus ride away from the only LGS in Israel with a consistent schedule of PFS games (and one of the only LGSs in Israel). However, these games happen on hours I study in, meaning I never get to play real-life PFS (except for in cons, which are rare). I do manage to get my share of online PFS though, so there's that. Also on the plus side, Hebrew translations of RPG stuff are ridiculous and I love it.

Is it just "You get a favored class bonus (+1 HP or +1 skill point per level) in your PrC or is it something that's actually worth a feat? It also gives you a bonus in a single class skill iirc, but I can't check right now.

I recently picked up Legacy of Dragons and enjoyed it quite a lot, even though there were some errors (for example, a fighter archetype replacing the 3rd and 5th level bonus feats). I decided I want to build a Drakerider, but ran into a problem. A level 1 drake is Tiny, and the ability granting it replaces a lot of Cavalier features. Is there a size adjustment I missed, or do I have to handle the loss of nearly all my features and wait until the Drake becomes large at 13th level or build a diminutive character (somehow)? I know a Cavalier can have a "mount" he doesn't ride, but it seems strange that you can only actually be a drake rider starting at 13th level.
