Hello! I would like to submit a human wizard. Tom was made for a different game but was not chosen. He is an old scruffy man that has lived in and around Ilsurian for most of his life. Something like a Carnaval is what is needed.
Let me know what you think. I do need to pick one more trait and a minor stat change to make it fall inline with your requirements.

I don;t know why every NPC in this is written as an a hole.
It is hard to say. Heck, the writer could have been in a bad mood when writing it. I typically read through everything and if it is all the same tone I will mix things up for some variety.
Or, the town is just a bunch of jerks.
Ok that sounds good. Off the bat I would either go with a Dwarven Cleric of Torag, could have some fun with the cayden calian follower Skald, or some kind of Sorcerer. I would typically pick Wizard, but I am currently playing one in person.
Give me the weekend to think things over and I will have something typed up and submitted come Sunday evening/Monday morning.
If there is a greater need one way or the other please let me know. I know the Spiritualist is kind of a hybrid Divine/Arcane casting in their spell list.
Hey all! First off, thanks for putting in a good word Duke! Second, thank you for the reach out and invite. I am not 100% through the game play read but I am interested. In joining. So you all are playing some classes that I am not 100% familiar with so before I made a character I wanted to know what needs you have? I am most familiar with CRB and APG classes, along with unchained versions. I didn't want to make something and step on any toes and leave the void of a much needed role. I am 100% open to suggestions, I am working up a concept already for the character.
Once again, thanks for the invite!!
Yeah the town names and locations are really plug n play. That is why I didn't even name where Fillip was from, or even what really happened after he left.
When are you thinking recruitment would be finished and an expected starting date might be? I am in no rush, just wanted to make sure everything was finalized and good to go.
Here is my submission for Fillip Tarnell, Human Divine Tracker Ranger. He is a follower of Shelyn and works for the temple in Sandpoint.
I had one question, will you be using the Background skills to allow us to help flesh out our characters? I did not use them, but would make a few minor tweaks if you hand planned on using them.

I am glad you saw this, I was actually planning on PMing you a link. Mostly because I know you are looking to play in addition to GMing. As I make my (increasingly likely to be) cleric I will touch base with you... assuming we are both from Sandpoint it is likely we would at least be aware of each other, ;)
That would be cool!
@DM I will get something written up here today. I already have something in the works, just need to adjust the crunch with the stats I rolled.
I am interested. I love core action and have never played the beginner box.
Stat 1: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 1, 2) = 8 7 (re rolling)
Stat 1: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 4, 4) = 14 11
Stat 2: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 1, 2) = 10
Stat 6: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Stat 2 again: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 3, 4) = 12
Ok let me know if I did this right. If not, let me know what you would like me to do.
11, 15, 11, 12, 15, 17
Thinking about Human Ranger if selected.
From all the chatter it seems like so many more submissions. Great to see the possible cast all in one place.
Elemental Wizard isn’t something I’ve seen a lot of. I’m looking forward to seeing it in action.
They are pretty cool. Instead of banned schools they have banned elements. They are: wood overcomes earth, earth overcomes water, water overcomes fire, fire overcomes metal, and metal overcomes wood.
So for a Wood Elemental Wizard, the Metal Elemental spells are banned. There are a good amount that I will totally miss, but that is all part of playing a wizard.
1st—gravity bow, magic weapon, shocking grasp
2nd—defensive shock, glitterdust, make whole, shatter, silk to steel
3rd—chill metal, heat metal, lightning bolt, keen edge, magic weapon (greater), versatile weapon
4th—malfunction, shout, stoneskin
5th—lightning arc, major creation, rapid repair, rusting grasp, soothe construct, unbreakable construct
6th—chain lightning, disintegrate, wall of iron
7th—control construct, lightning rod (?), statue
8th—call construct, iron body, shout (greater), stormbolts
9th—meteor swarm, repel metal or stone, ride the lightning
EDIT: Whoops.... I also realized I need to pick traits. I'll be doing that today at some point.
Here is the crunch of the Wood Elemental Wizard. I did use the 20 point buy instead of what I rolled. I do have a few tweaks and purchases that I need to make, but that is just small stuff depending on if I am picked.
EDIT: Unable to select his portrait, but here is one I will be using for Thom Boxdell
Thom is a rather spry old man in Celestia. He is known for his nose being deep set in a book, but not in the libraries and universities like other scholars, but in the gardens/woods/streams in around Celestia. Like many druids, Thom loves nature and the powerful force that drives behind it. But, unlike traditional druids, Thom sees the power that civilization has had on the world and tries to consume as much knowledge as he can.
He might be seen as gruff and direct, but deep down he is compassionate for the community. He may be stuck in his old ways, but what he does is for the betterment of the people.
Bit of RP in above scene:
Hope this is ok. figured I would just do a little bit with Thom leading up to the point of mass chaos.
Thinking to himself Ahh, a birthday celebration. How old is the young prince again... seeing the food stalls, his stomach takes over and his mind leaves him. Walking past a few he lets his nose be his guide.
Waiving to the young lass behind the counter "Young lady, how much for the lamb shank? I'll take one." raising a brow at hearing the cost, he slowly pulls the coin/s free from his pouch and places them on the counter. Smiling as he takes his food; "Thank you..." "that much for a lamb shank? They are just gouging the people because it is his birthday..." he grumbles as he moves away back through the crowd.
Catching the trail end of the crescendo of the trumpets, Thom realizes the prince has arrived and is going to address his people "oh for gods sake, how am I ever going to hear him from here? must get closer" struggling to make his way through the crowd he finds a good resting place off to the side and leans against a building. That's better... doesn't anyone have respect for their elders anymore? I would have been whipped if I did not allow the elders to move past us when I was younger...
Waiting in expectation for Prince Zoran's speech, Thom is quickly taken back by the the unexpected theatrics of the ground shaking and lights. Curious Thom cast Detect Magic to see what illusion spells the hired mages are using. Unfortunately, he realizes this is no illusion... Before he has a chance to warn those around him rows and rows of men appear, heavily armed and armored.
Everything happened so fast. The people around him panic and scream in horror simultaneous as he tries to cry out a warning....
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 1, 2) = 9 8
If allowed I would probably go with the 20 point buy vs the 10 point buy I rolled above.
I would go with a Wizard of some type. He would have been in the area for years. Studying, but never really honing his craft to perfection. Thinking Human or Elf. Do you use aging rules or would I be allowed to have an older character for the fun flavor or things within out aging effects? Either way I am cool, just want to know your stance on things.
Here is a link to the character that I am tweaking if chosen for this AP. Unchained Rogue and using the Alabaster Outcast campaign trait. I have not purchased the equipment yet, but I figured I would have time. Here is the background, let me know what you think.
The name is Andreas… that’s it. Well I do have a last name, but I don’t go by it unless I need it to pull some weight. Alright, alright… I’ll tell ya. Andreas Mindurian. Yeah I know, I don’t look like a Mindurian. I’m not one of those hoity toity, stuck up, noble types. Heck they don’t even know where they came from. We were originally stonemasons for gods sake… They don’t even know how to work with their hands.
How did I get the boot? Well if you ask my b@%~@ of an aunt, Filuvia, she will tell you how I disgraced the family name and only deserve to be in Underbridge, if even alive at that. Ya know… get caught one… two… three… ok, ok fine… Maybe five times trying to lift a few things from the other noble houses and bam, they throw you out like some kind of rat… A RAT!!! I am a damn Mindurian for cryin out loud!
Anyway, I’ve been trying to use my skills that I favor to show them snobs up. I know I don’t usually walk the straight and narrow, but using these Pathfinders to my advantage will show Filuvia and all the other Mindurians who I am. I will make a new name for myself.
I am a daily checker of the boards. I run a Reign of Winter AP that has been fun. I have been playing Pathfinder since its beta birth. Due to family growth, I no longer am able to attend a in person game so this is my form of gaming fun.
Is it just me or does it seem like there aren't a lot of new games happening over in the recruitment section? I am running a the Reign of Winter AP and I am loving it, but I think I would like to join a game. My in person group has "temporarily" disbanded because of life seven months ago, and really have the itch to play.
I know this might be off brand because this is the Paizo PBP section, but is there anywhere else that is more alive for Pathfinder 1st ed games?
Hello all, I am The Squirrel Ninja!!
I am about to run my first AP and it is RoW.
IF I were to go with 5 PCs for the AP, what are the recommended tweaks that should be made?
Thanks! - SN
Stat 1: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 5, 3) = 13
Stat 2: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 2, 5) = 12
Stat 3: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 3) = 7
Stat 4: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 5, 1) = 16
Stat 5: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 2) = 6
Stat 6: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 3, 1) = 8
15,12,11,7,6,5 Hummm.... do you allow a second try at stat re-rolls?
re-roll if allowed:
Stat 1: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 2, 3) = 9
Stat 2: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 2, 1) = 12
Stat 3: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6, 6) = 18
Stat 4: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2, 3) = 12
Stat 5: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 1, 1) = 9
Stat 6: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 5, 1) = 9
16,11,11,8,8,8 I don't know if that is really any better.
Halfling Sorcerer seems like it could be doable. Let me know if I could use the re-roll or not and I will go from there.
EDIT: Just saw the post about your wife. I did not see that post and wasn't trying to be insensitive. Hope your wife heals quickly.
@TheNine I was curious about archetypes. With my above posting (stat roll and item) I think it would be fun to lean more towards the Wizard side of things, but being more of a nature wizard. I was curious if you would allow the Wood Elementalist Wizard archetype from the Ultimate Magic book. I wasn't sure because the class is core, but the archetype wasn't from those books.
I can live with that, I will get a Elven Treesinger Druid written up up here in the next couple of days.
And yes please, lets finish it this time! I will say that one of them was an in person game and was a random encounter TPK due to crap rolls and it really took the wind out of our sails.
Norm 1: 1d6 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Sub 1: 14 - 1d6 ⇒ 14 - (3) = 11
I am thinking of something nature based. I see classes are allowed from Core, Base, and Hybrid. Do you allow archetypes that are from books outside of CRB/APG/ACG?
The item is a staff/quarterstaff (depending on the class route I take). It is a simple, rough piece of stout oak that is heavily knotted. It is thick and sturdy. The name of the staff/quarterstaff is Nimloth Gwanur. Those who don't know elven would know it as Tree Brother.
Death came quickly in defense of an ancient grove.
This seems interesting. Do you want this here or in the discussion or gameplay?
Looking up the road Andreas sees the signs oh hope, lights of a village. Despite the rain soaked clothes and muddy boots, Andreas gets an extra kick in his step. "Maybe my luck has just turned around... Once I get to this village, I'll find someone to help me fix my wagon and then I'll be able to bring my wares here to recoup the cost."
Once arriving in Sanctuary, Andreas finds the closest thing to a tavern and walks in. The heat of the fire and the smell of any food brings a smile to the old mans neatly kept bearded face. Handing a soaked duster and hat by the fire to dry, Andreas pulls himself up to the bar and with a warm smile hails the bar maid/tender. "Evening (sir/ma'am), a large mug of ale and a hot plate of whatever that deliscous smell is. Please. Oh, and where do I find myself this rainy evening?"
Looking around, Andreas takes in the locals and possible future customers.
Here is my submission. Fillip Tarnell Human Ranger, bow user. On the fence about using the Guide Archetype or not.
EDIT: Sorry about that, I have never played the AP before. My group in person was going to start it once but it never made it off the ground. I have the Player's Guide and have read it a few times.
Looks like it would be a fun game to play, interested in the slow paced RP style you are talking about. Let me know what you think if I need to make any changes.
Thanks for the look over!
