Hello! I am looking for one PC to jump into our RoW campaign. We are currently in book one and out exploring in the Border Woods. You will not be starting with the party or have any connection with them. Once I pick the PC I will fill you in more with where you are and how you are getting connected with the group.

Current Cast:

Alice Cobbel – Human Slayer
Jujopotamous Jumbomanic the 3rd – Gnome Prankster Bard
Revekka Verusya – Human(Jadwiga) – Ley Line Guardian Witch
Trawets Aarock – Human Admixture Evoker Wizard

Character Creation:

Stats: 15 point buy. I do follow aging rules and have a personal soft spot for the elderly wizard.
Races: Core, archetypes are welcomed.
Classes: All, minus the occult classes. My in person gaming group has never delved into that realm so I know nothing about them. Archetypes are welcomed.
Traits: 2 and one must be from the RoW Player's Guide. I will allow a drawback for an extra trait. But, all of your traits and the drawback must be built into the character.
Starting Gold: Max +50. Buy what your character would need in their daily life. You never know when you are going to need that mirror, fishing lure, and false-bottom cup.
Alignments: I am open to all alignments. This is a team game and as in real life if a person isn't working well on the team they can get let go. The same goes for your PC.
Background skills: I will allow background skills, but use them to help enhance your characters background.
Background: Who are you? How did you become more than the common commoner? Please tie in your background skills, Traits and Drawback if you took one.

I am lost. I suppose Andreas is just standing around listening to a conversation in dwarven.

Once enough of the hands are off of Cook-Cook he pulls him up and we head towards the group. "We are here!" placing the little goblin directly in front of him he pats him on the shoulder, leans in and whispers; "A man wakes up from a nasty fall and you are one of the few over me checking in. I am indebted to you..."

As Andreas and Cook-Cook get in line he begins looking around waving the torch from side to side; "Do any of you hear that? A woman's voice? I cannot tell where it is coming from. Maybe ahead?"

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Perception to tell where the voice is coming from, if needed.

@Blaydsong Now that you see what I mean... I must add more confusion to the mix. I think that I would actually allow the two feats to work together.

Upon examining the last part of Blade Brush it says When wielding a glaive, you can treat it as a one-handed piercing or slashing melee weapon and as if you were not making attacks with your off-hand for all feats and class abilities that require such a weapon (such as a duelist’s or swashbuckler’s precise strike).

Looking into Precise Strike it does exactly what the Slashing Grace is wanting to do...

Precise Strike:
Precise Strike (Ex) (Advanced Class Guide pg. 57): At 3rd level, while she has at least 1 panache point, a swashbuckler gains the ability to strike precisely with a light or one-handed piercing melee weapon (though not natural weapon attacks), adding her swashbuckler level to the damage dealt. To use this deed, a swashbuckler cannot attack with a weapon in her other hand or use a shield other than a buckler. She can even use this ability with thrown light or onehanded piercing melee weapons, so long as the target is within 30 feet of her. Any creature that is immune to sneak attacks is immune to the additional damage granted by precise strike, and any item or ability that protects a creature from critical hits also protects a creature from the additional damage of a precise strike. This additional damage is precision damage, and isn’t multiplied on a critical hit.

@Delightful I will allow it.

@ALL Sorry for the crazy detour this recruitment post just took.

I do currently have an Ifrit Spellscar Drifter Cavalier that I haven't used yet, but I'm not sure how well that would mesh in this AP.

Sounds good. Only thing is I am asking for Core Races only. Sorry, no Ifrit.

1. Do are particularly stringent about Carrying Capacity or do you have that some leeway?

1) I personally don't get overly bogged down with Carrying Capacity most of the time. However, if the 8 Str Gnome Sorcerer is carrying a dragon's horde worth of loot then we have things to talk about.

I also don't keep full track of standard ammo or rations/drink. Most of the time the party is either coming from or going to a town that will have that stuff readily available. Now when it comes to magical ammo or ammo that is made or different types of material those I count exactly.

2. What's your thoughts on the Bladed Brush feat? Some people think it works with Slashing Grace to provide Dex to damage, but others think the specific wording of the feat prevents that. What's your take?

2) I would have to say that they do not work together. I read over them a few times and here is my take.

Blade Brush says When wielding a glaive, you can treat it as a one-handed piercing or slashing melee weapon. This is not actually changing its type. But, you are treating it as something else.

Slashing Grace says Choose one kind of light or one-handed slashing weapon. For the Slashing Grace you it would still have to be a light or one-handed slashing weapon, it is specifically asking for one kind of light or one-handed slashing weapon. Also, as the feat reads it also says When wielding your chosen weapon one-handed This is not what you would be doing anyway because you are using two hands to use it.

That second one was a great question and a fun exercise in seeing how feats work together.

@Grankless I am cool with summoning builds. I gave them a look, and I am cool with the background skills. But I would say to pick skills that help enhance your background.

Revised Character Creation:

Why are you in the village of Heldren? How did you become more than the common commoner? Please tie in your background skills, Traits and Drawback if you took one.

Posting Rates: I know life happens, but I would love to see a pace of 1 post per week day and 1 post a weekend. If people post more than that, that is cool.

Submission Deadline: Submissions must be in by 1/7/19 for my final decision on the party.
