Taelbin stalks up toward the dwarf, sidestepping outside of his reach just before darting back in. His eyes seem to have gone out of focus as he swings his dueling blade at the dwarf. Move up and around to avoid AoO, then swift to activate my bloodline (+1 dc to cast defensively when threatened by me). Then attack. Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Since the others make no sense, perhaps the silence and serenity is attributed to the incense and herbs. Taelbin makes his way over to Spuchasta's niche and begins to search through it, paying more attention to the nameplate after the hidden compartment is found in Asterion's niche. Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19 Thinking for a moment on Kesuraman's question, Taelbin pokes his head up from his search. Try wiffle.
Api, the three names from the handout are the ones that Foster's Apprentice, Adolphus, had found were added to the wall of names. None of those three names are "true" pathfinders according to him. Also DMK, are the words "rot", "blade", and "silence and serenity" in the three people's wall entry underlined like they are in the handout, or is it a trick of the printing? Well he is a tricky little devil isn't he. Taelbin sighs as he heads back with the others to the wall of names. Standing in reverence before the wall he scans over the names, finding those they are looking for. So what does wiffle have to do with anything?
Taelbin heads in to find the gnome. Good day to you Mr. Fimbrik. We had hoped to have a word with you, but when you wouldn't answer our knocks we became worried. We tried the door and thankfully it opened. It appears your lock was tampered with by hoodlums or something. Bluff: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
If Zlata's attack doesn't drop the spider. Letting out a cry of joy as the spider drops dead, Taelbin turns toward the other and moves in beside the half-elf, his blade swinging in an upward strike. Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
If Zlata's attack does drop the spider. Letting out a cry of joy as the spider drops dead, Taelbin turns to see Zlata bringing the other beast down. Slowly he begins to scan the cavern, searching for any other enemies. Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
We can still attack while we're webbed, we're just entangled correct? If not Taelbin will just try to break free. Str Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 Ugh, disgusting creature. Attack: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 - 2 = 3
Taelbin strains against the webbing, bringing his sword around in a 2 handed swing aimed at taking off a leg or two of the spider.
Taelbin glances back at the small Wayang, looking slightly confused. Don't you? This has to be part of what Venture-Captain Dreng wanted us to do. This is some sort of test, right Heryn? You can tell there is no sarcasm, contempt, or guile in his voice, it seems Taelbin truly believes that there would be no other explanation for this secret door to be here other than you all to check it out. Sorry if Taelbin comes out a little strange. I'm trying to do the newbie that looking for adventure around every turn.
Well that is quiet the story, Amelia. Sounds like a great adventure. Hopefully I will get a chance at an adventure like that. Taelbin can't hide the excitement in his feline-like eyes as he imagines the adventure possibilities. Once Heryn leads the group down to the cellar, Taelbin eagerly follows listening to the history of the place, moving across the plank slowly.
Well, well, well. What do we have here? Taelbin's free hand idly slips down near the hilt of his sword.
As an ape? Taeblin is unable to keep the surprise off of his face. Now that is a story that must be heard. If not now, another time. As for myself, I more or less stumbled into the Society. Helping what turned out to be some members with a local problem of a town I was passing through. They pointed me toward Absalon and just recently I completed my first mission as an official Pathfinder.
Taelbin moves through the bar with an casual pace, checking his small backpack and bow with the half-elf before continuing his way to the bar. He stops for a moment at the shout, but continues on to stand near the rest. A drink sounds like a great start. So have any of you been with the Society for long?
A tall, athletically built teifling pushes himself away from the wall he had been leaning against as the beggar moved over and spoke. His movements exude an almost feline quality. A long sinewy tail whips around and up into a pouch at his belt before depositing a pair of coins into his hand just as the Venture Captain reveals himself. The man's chest is wrapped in fitted armor made up of what looks to be leather plates or stripes. A long tapered sword rests at his hip, and just under the white cloak he wears on his back, there appears to be the tattered remains of another darker colored cloak. Ah well not quite the adventure I had hoped for, but even in the small tasks one can find great adventure. I am Taelbin Morro.
Thank you much for running this, I've been through a few "confirmations" and I think this was the best for the story-telling. I know I'm trying to take a few things of what you did and add them to my own GM'ing. Making his way across the river, Taelbin joins up with the group offering the wand back to Janira. Well I don't think the masters quiet had this, he gestures toward the Minotaur's body, in mind when they had us head out on this task. Though i will say that you yourself performed exceptionally well, if you hadn't lured the beast away we might not have made it this far. Thank you. Taeblin then bows slightly to the halfling before stepping away to make a few more notes in his journal.
Taelbin watches Hans jump the river with a furious roar, still surprised at the fury that is bound within the man, as he moves forward trying to get a better vantage to fire. Notching one of the new arrows, he takes aim and fires, hoping that Hans won't bother his aim. Movement:Move to L16
Once again Taelbin is amazed at the ferocity of Hans, he slowly moves up carefully watching the area for any more traps. Amazingly done, Hans. Though it does seem like you tripped a trap, devious little things. Looking down at the dying Kobold, Taelbin glances over to Amahl. Good Amahl, would it be against your ethics to allow one of us to end this creature's suffering? Or would you like to try to stabilize it? Either way, we should be moving. I believe our lady halfling is still in combat with that brute. Perhaps we can lend her some aid. If Amahl has no objections, Taelbin will draw his rapier and cue the Kobold.
Taelbin slips his way into the cavern, watching as Hans easily leaps the stream, making his way to a suitable position to aim at the Kobolds. He holds his arrow drawn, waiting for the creatures to move. Move action to move to I3. Then readying my standard to fire an arrow if the Kobolds move to attack Readied Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 for 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 damage
Yes, our Gillman friend will be pleased to know we cleared some foul creatures from his sacred place. Taelbin nods, wincing a little from the battle, before collecting up his bow and stashing it against his back once more. After that he quickly pulls out his journal to make a few notes.
Looks like the blasted thing likes me. Taelbin quips as he steps around the reaching claws of the skeleton, his bow dropping from his hands. He moves into a better position before lashing out with his claws again. Free Action: Drop Bow
Seeing stars from the blow, Taelbin takes a step back, pulling a small vial from his belt, Good Amahl, I believe I will leave that one to you. And proceeds to down the vial's contents, spitting some of the contents out. Hmm that didn't taste quiet right Movement: 5-foot step to G3
At 3/9 HP
Religion: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 Looking down at his bow, then at the shambles of the skeleton that Hans just destroyed. Well this appears less than useful at the moment. Dropping his bow where he is, Taelbin quickly moves up to help Amahl, getting one of the zombies between them. As he moves, his hands flex and sharp claws spring forth just as he slashes at the zombie. Free Action: Drop bow
Claw with Flank: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 1 + 2 = 18 for 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
