![]() The first makes me think of the Māori and those that would perform a haka. The second makes me think of an Animist of Native American cultures, especially those of north and western North America due to the heavier clothing. We know Paizo takes inspiration from real world cultures while leveraging creators (writers, artists, etc.) from those cultures to give genuine support to their development. It's always great to see something you can relate to in the media you watch or read, games you play. ![]()

![]() I'm actively running Kingmaker. I can tell you these are useful for running that path. One flip mat is for the Bandit Camp of Chapter 3 with part of the goblin village of Greengripe on the other side from Chapter 5. The other flip mat is the other part of Greengripe from Chapter 5 (so you can put them next to one another). Its other side is a miscellaneous open glen in the forest, perfect to use for a camping site or a random encounter. From a perspective of not running Kingmaker, the Bandit Camp is a useful woodland small camp, no fortified structures but there's a couple lookout platforms, an area where a fire is set up, a wagon, areas for ambush points. The two sides for Greengripe form a good palisade surrounded fort of only a few small, simple buildings. Great to use for any goblin village, bandit fort, or maybe a "town just starting out." If someone showed me these and I wasn't running Kingmaker, I'd buy it. ![]()

![]() So many great contributors to a fantastic book! Jessica that Euphoric Loop is a great addition for charms. And if y'all don't stop by Materials Changes when in Absalom, you're making a mistake! Kendra the alchemical foods are a delight. We need some mundane recipes to simulate I think! Yvonne the fulus are amazing, and really add some great roleplaying opportunities! I hope people learn more about their true cultural place in the real world. I could go on and on, but thank you all! ![]()

![]() Hey, Rob Pontious here! It was amazing joining the Order for their 150th module! The immersion is all encompassing with the efforts Adam takes and the Order helps contribute toward: scenery, lighting, music, in character discussion. Matt's captaining led everyone well in preparing for an intense underwater exploration! Everyone was incredibly friendly and as excited as I but there was a marathon to be had! Despite my best efforts the fear I had got to me - or Ezren - as he heard that banshee's wail. I'm excited to wipe the X's from his eyes because you can't keep a good Pathfinder down! ![]()

![]() If I might also point out the Order of the Amber Die. I was privileged to attend marathon 5 of the Azlant Odyssey (Ruins of Azlant) with them. It occurred to me that more than half of the table identified LGBTQ. There was open communication about PRIDE events coming up in June at one point. Everyone was positive, friendly, and it was just normal friends talking. I expressed to Adam the value of being able to be a part of something without feeling separate or singled out, even if you were accepted. It was an extremely positive experience with an extremely wonderful group of people while playing a game we all love! Again, special thanks to them! ![]()

![]() Long have I appreciated the GLBTQ representation and support in Pathfinder. It was clear all the way back with Burnt Offerings' retired paladin Jasper and his boyfriend Cyrdak the theater manager. My friend and DM was so excited and pointed it out to me. I was so glad to see it. Representation matters. Thank you. ![]()

![]() Another thing that excites me of 2.0 is the continuance and growth of the story, the world, the people of Golarion. It's especially exciting for those who've played an adventure path and now their actions are reflected within the world. It's exciting to see and feel the impact of not only character actions but numerous developers, authors, DMs, and players. I've loved Pathfinder since it was teased/playtested and its treatment of Golarion - even if I was initially running a game in a different campaign setting - struck a note with me, especially the reflection of the cultures and the history of the world in its characters. I'm especially interested to see if any modifications to rules, spells, classes, races, etc. are reflected through historical events. I'm very excited to read the lore come Gen Con! ![]()

![]() I wanted to share my Dwarvenforge set up for beautiful Iris Hill! It took a while to set up, but the look on my players' faces was well worth it! I took slight liberty with the main manor building but I kept the right number of rooms, relative size, and layout. It'd be nice to have more roofs but almost nearly enough! My players went through the hedge by way of their Druid killing some of the plant life. He wished he saved it though as they fought the topiaries! They've yet to go in the main manor house but have really enjoyed their exploration so far as I keep it dark and with the foggy mists rolling over the estate. Continued thanks to the Order of the Amber Die whose patreon help and full playthrough have greatly aided my set up, handling of the encounters, and more! ![]()

![]() Talclaren wrote: Did anyone use the aqueduct to enter Fort Hailcourse? I had one player mention it, but ultimately they chose to try to talk their way in and then attack. They partially climbed up onto the fort walls, only to end up jumping off and retreating. They came back however with a formed assault plan and their friend Winter due to all the "weird zombies" on the walls. She didn't need to do much; their new plan worked well. Later, they found the aqueduct entranced and at least wished they'd consider it. My players took some time to clear it out and one player admitted to eating "intelligent creatures they'd already killed" since back at the Asylum. He wrote up a wonderful log. Tonight we're back on after a few weeks due to some travel I took. They want to check on these standing stones they've heard about, review some of the things they've been reading, maybe check on some hags east and southeast of town, and maybe scout out the estate. I've prepared some caverns and swamp area for the hags. I think they might try to talk to them in a diplomatic fashion even, get some info. Shout out to the Order of the Amber Die for their recent photos with black lights for the playtest. I picked some up for tonight and the future! ![]()

![]() Wonderful first post and outing with the Pathfinder Playtest, Order of the Amber Die! I'm shocked you didn't have any character deaths! I really thought my players would escape unscathed, but maybe it was the last of hero points that got one done in. Our human monk who excelled against Drakus fell to centipedes after they came back a third day to 'clear up' the rest of the Ashen Ossuary. I also dropped numerous characters below 0, though at least 3 of those were the barbarian within the same encounter. Try as the Cleric might to heal him, I brought him down! Love that goblin alchemist mini! Question for the DM and Sajan: with the flurry action did you do the two Strikes as 0/0 or 0/-4? We did the 0/-4. Thrilled we'll have your updates to follow! Thank you! ![]()

![]() Hi all, Can we avoid putting anything adventure related in here? I flagged Maxim Nikolaev's post that while I think was well intentioned it should be at least hidden by a spoiler tag or discussed elsewhere (DM feedback). ![]() Yeah I'm trying to figure out how the Goblin Warrior's to hit is +6. Where does that come from with a Dex of 16? He's level 0. So is that +3 from being legendary with a dogslicer? The Commando is level 1 and has a +7 so I understand where the +1 came from. ![]()

Colette thank you for putting this together so nicely! I only ran the beginning of Chapter 1, encounters A1,A2, and A7 and you saw a lot of the same problems I came here to voice. MAJOR PROBLEMS Specifically Major Problems 3,4, and 5 already came up. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out those dying rules, recovery rolls, etc. Stealth vs. perception for initiative confused me a bit for encounter A7. And those lights rules, the only 20' bright light for torches, really threw us and made for some dangerous situations. ENCOUNTERS Encounter A2 (those four goblins in the dark at the far north of the cavern) dropped our Bard the minute he stepped in and couldn't see them. They made enough noise that I had the goblins even say "oh what's that" especially with the cleric's light coming into the room. 4 readied arrows later (2 of them crits) and bam. It took quite a while for them to get a light source over there. The Barbarian did make good use of "taking cover" though. In A7 they were taking a beating from the Commando and adding the Pyro on top. Some good hits, some focus fire and the Barbarian struggled to get up. The Cleric healed him but the need for a recovery roll to get up often delayed his actions. I figured the Pyro was smart so as he saw the Barbarian get healed the Pyro again attacked. The Bard is the only reason they won this encounter and didn't TPK. He was the only one conscious at one point. The dying/recovery rules delaying others getting involved. The Bard made a nice 3 action magic missile attack. Those dying / recovery rules need amending. ![]()

![]() PROBLEM Not enough Ancestry Feats / races too limited FEEDBACK Came here for this discussion, talking with my fellows via chat all day. We need to separate what is inborn vs. learned/awakened. However, the fact that little separates different races but senses, speed, and hit points is odd to me. And within a race, it takes time and adventuring before you really seem different/special. An elf not having better senses or immunity to magic is just odd. SUGGESTION I think more abilities need to be standard and/or more ancestry feats at the beginning. I understand the wanting to avoid "alternate racial traits" need so maybe 2 or 3 ancestry feats to start is the way to go. ![]()

![]() I feel bad people (including myself) won't get them on the release date, but I do feel like Paizo is trying to overcommunicate and be transparent by alerting us and even having Vic answer our comments/questions. Things will still be downloadable for free, which is great. Companies don't have to do that, let alone even run a playtest. They're offering at least $15 back if not more based on Amazon's handling, so it may be more or full refunds of shipping. And in the realm of things... there are far bigger issues in the world. I'm not saying people can't complain; that's their right (thankfully), but let's keep it respectful and with perspective. I'm confident Paizo will handle it the best they can. Heck, they sent us brand new Starfinder books after all the glue issues were reported. I feel bad for the tech, marketing, operations, etc. people working at Paizo and GenCon who are likely having terse conversations with Amazon, feeling frustrated after all their planning, or trying to handle GenCon doors opening while this impact to what was likely a many months in the making plan is reviewed. That sort of giant deployment to be thrown off by something you contractually planned with another company (a giant company that should be capable of handling this) is so frustrating. I think considering the timeline of the playtest is wise. Remember, developers need that feedback ASAP to be working toward our Gen Con release next year! And here shortly, the PDFs will be moving! In order to help Paizo track, we may want to come up with a way to report what day we got our materials? Can help with a postmortem too I imagine.
