Observe.

Sieg uses Mythic Vital Strike.

1d20 + 46 ⇒ (12) + 46 = 58

Damage: 24d8 + 300 + 2d6 ⇒ (8, 4, 4, 2, 8, 7, 4, 8, 6, 1, 3, 6, 8, 2, 7, 3, 8, 5, 6, 1, 3, 7, 3, 3) + 300 + (2, 2) = 421

Plus an extra 2d6 if everything weren't resistant/immune to lightning.

Well, that's my FIRST Standard...and not including the free Grapple check from having Grab, which then lets me slam jam some poor bastard again because of Master Grappler.

...Sieg is not the highest damage dealer in the party.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg stomps his boots against the ground, granting him bolstered morale.

Swift action activate Boots of the Battle Herald, Greater Heroism for 30 rounds. Immune to fear now. Also activating Mythic Power Attack. Spending 1 point from my Ki Pool negate his Freedom of Movement.

Then he calls upon the spirit of Beowulf within him and rages, growing large, and follows Koran's course, flying over the Star-Spawn and going straight for their dread father.

He roars in anger and throws all his might into a single punch as he divebombs the tentacle-y threat to all humanity.

CHAOS SLAM STUNNING FIST: 1d20 + 46 ⇒ (14) + 46 = 60
Non-Euclidean: 1d100 ⇒ 54

Damage: 24d8 + 300 + 2d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 4, 2, 4, 8, 6, 7, 5, 2, 7, 8, 3, 7, 8, 5, 5, 3, 8, 8, 5, 8, 2) + 300 + (2, 4) = 431

Grapple: 1d20 + 98 ⇒ (3) + 98 = 101

Next round Cthulhu is sooo getting Grappled.

I for one hope this adventure path ends with my Brawlbarian punching Cthulhu in his stupid squid face.

Well I'm not quite a Barbarian, or probably the Brawler you were talking about, but if my teammates ever post you can live vicariously through me.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Initiative: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22

Sieg cracks his knuckles in anticipation.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg Will: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (5) + 26 = 31

If this counts as a mind affecting effect, add +10 to that.

If not, spending an AP for a re-roll: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (14) + 26 = 40

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg grunts noncommittally.

Grumble grumble 97 CMD vs my 60-ish CMB grumble grumble.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg nods his head.

"Thank you, Daisy."

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg, for his part, makes a face at the "beer" Hoffman and Kermit are drinking.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

"How long have you been down here?" Sieg asks Natalie.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Oh NOW I know why Loris Raknian's name looked so familiar to me.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg runs over to flex on Medusa.

Fort vs Petrification: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (15) + 26 = 41

Grapple: 1d20 + 55 ⇒ (4) + 55 = 59

Sieg grabs Medusa by a leg, and throws her into one of the Serpentfolk, hopefully smashing said Serpentfolk into the one adjacent to it.

Bull Rush: 1d20 + 34 ⇒ (8) + 34 = 42

Which should trigger a Fort save from both of the Serpentfolk priests to avoid being petrified, since Medusa is now within 30 feet of them and I don't think they were averting their eyes.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Go Go German Reflex: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (9) + 19 = 28

"NOBODY TOLD ME THEY EXPLOOODE!"

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg roars in pain as the whip wraps around his neck, though his more lucid half is relieved that it's still attached, at least.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Ooh, I caught the Balors too? bonus points!

Guess that makes it Sieg's turn.

Sieg drops to the ground, charges at the remaining Balor, and Rages, growing Large.

Vital Strike: 1d20 + 37 ⇒ (18) + 37 = 55

Damage: 24d8 + 272 ⇒ (1, 8, 2, 6, 6, 1, 8, 8, 6, 4, 3, 3, 8, 1, 6, 4, 7, 3, 4, 1, 4, 2, 4, 5) + 272 = 377

I think that kills it. If not, I Grapple:

Grapple (Hamatula): 1d20 + 54 ⇒ (17) + 54 = 71

And swing it at the nearest other enemy, or the ground.

Swing: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (6) + 31 = 37

Damage: 1d8 + 31 ⇒ (3) + 31 = 34

"RAAAAWR!"

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Initiative: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14

Sieg will Haste everyone right before they go through. So, 19 rounds of Haste.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Kn. Dungeoneering: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (7) + 22 = 29

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

"Agreed. This time it's all or nothing, we either save everyone and kill Cthulhu, or die trying.t."

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

"I hope Yig is just as simple. If worst comes to worst, and we fail against Cthulhu, at least the people who come after us will have an easier time of it without these other Old Ones running around the Earth."

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg blinks in slight surprise at how easily Shub was smashed, but Beowulf's arrogance kicks in and he recovers quickly.

"I have killed your mother! Who dares face me next?" he shouts at the spawn.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg drops to the ground, and charges at the line of spawn...leaping directly over them before he gets in range of their attacks, and launching himself at Shub-Niggurath.

He grows in size, and lunges toward the creature, unleashing a titanic strike at Shub-Niggurath, pointing his fingers into a spike and lodging them into Shub, crushing him, and punching him again.

"DIE, UNNATURAL BEAST!"

ICE PICK KUGI PAWNCHU: 1d20 + 40 ⇒ (13) + 40 = 53

Damage: 24d8 + 272 + 2d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 8, 1, 8, 7, 4, 2, 8, 7, 7, 3, 5, 6, 5, 7, 3, 6, 1, 6, 4, 8, 2, 6) + 272 + (3, 5) = 398

Grapple (Hamatula Strike): 1d20 + 53 ⇒ (16) + 53 = 69

Crush: 9d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 1, 3, 4, 6, 3, 2) = 26

Attack 2: 1d20 + 40 ⇒ (13) + 40 = 53

Damage: 24d8 + 264 ⇒ (3, 1, 6, 7, 3, 7, 5, 3, 2, 5, 1, 8, 3, 1, 2, 7, 6, 1, 3, 3, 4, 5, 5, 8) + 264 = 363

Total Damage: 787

Use 1 Ki to increase speed by 20 feet (total 140 ft. speed), Charge 280 feet. Assuming he's larger than Medium I can Lunge and attack him. If he's Huge or bigger I shouldn't need to.

Total Mythic Power cost: 3 (Amazing Initiative, Titan's Rage, Mythic Power Attack).

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

This a bad time to point out that weapon cords were errata'd to be Move actions? Though I think we'd all be happier if MJ wisely chose to ignore that.

Sieg moves 180 feet closer to Shub Niggurath.

Putting him at 120 feet out I believe.

Belay that. I have a better idea.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg delays for now, until I can get a better grasp of what's going on.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

This isn't a mind affecting effect, it's just "Will save or be Stunned".

Adamantine Mind:
Your mind is as hard as any armor, and is dangerous to engage. You gain a bonus equal to your tier on saving throws against mind-affecting effects. Whenever you succeed at a save against a mind-affecting effect, the creature attacking you with that effect must succeed at a Will save (at the same DC) or be stunned for 1 round.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Will: 1d20 + 35 ⇒ (15) + 35 = 50

Sieg shrugs off Shub's assualt, his mind snapping back at Shub's mental assault.

Due to Adamantine Mind, Shub must now make a DC 40 Will save or be Stunned for 1 round. That ability is some rad s+!$.

"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" he roars.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Initiative: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

1d20 + 22 ⇒ (2) + 22 = 24

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

"I'm not a fan of snakes. Let's go after Yig first.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

"Let's pound these Old Ones into dust."

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

"I'm ready. Let's finish this."

Sorry I took so long. Been a hectic month.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg:

Guardian/Champion 9:

Adamantine Mind
Impossible Speed

Mythic Feat: Extra Path Ability

Level 19 (Ranger Ulfen Guard 5):

Feat: Greater Vital Strike

Dedication: ???

Waffling on the Ulfen Guard level. May take one level of Ranger instead.

Gear: ???

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg Charges at Hastur, aiming to put an end to his teleporting and plane shifting shenanigans.

No Power Attack this round.

Attack!: 1d20 + 41 ⇒ (17) + 41 = 58

Damage: 4d8 + 28 + 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 8, 2) + 28 + (3, 2) = 52

Grapple: 1d20 + 54 ⇒ (19) + 54 = 73

Crush Damage: 8d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4, 3, 6, 3, 3, 1) = 32

Constrict Damage: 1d6 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 21

Spending 2 Ki, 1 for Grab, 1 to negate his Freedom of Movement.

Once Sieg has him grabbed, he hits him, hard.

Vital Strike Amazing Initiative: 1d20 + 41 ⇒ (5) + 41 = 46

Damage: 12d8 + 87 + 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 3, 6, 8, 1, 6, 8, 4, 7, 5, 8) + 87 + (3, 4) = 159

Total damage: 265. Hastur status: Grappled.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Perception: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (20) + 29 = 49

Sieg likewise spots him.

Ditto, question in the last post, but for Sieg.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Didn't he just double move? How did he D. Door?

"All that sounds very nice. We'll make sure to take them from you once you're dead."

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Well, since it's his only real option, time for a spectacularly bad idea!

Sieg charges in at Hastur immediately after Marcus' fire abates.

Will vs Insanity: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (14) + 26 = 40

Woo for barely making it wooo

So, moved 180 feet toward Hastur. Should be able to reach him next turn.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg:

Monk (Tetori) 10/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 4

+35 HP

+3 Str

Hamatulatsu

Guardian Talent: Fighter Training: Hamatula Strike

Parry Spell

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

1d20 + 22 ⇒ (16) + 22 = 38

Even with his brain broken into pieces forgot Heal fixed Insanity. +6 more that save wooo.

Sieg looks at the illusion.

"We've been tricked!"

Think I'll leave Mothra to Shadow Mothra for now.

Just not sure what to do, exactly.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Wait what am I Stunned by? Not that it matters, Heal removes Stun. But I'm still Staggered.

Also should I even bother rolling for Sieg for the Suggestion or would I have to rip off my hands? =p

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

So, someone who can beat a 70+ Stealth, look around for the King of Yellow Bellies.

Round 2: Sieg flies after Mosura, and gives him a Vital whack.

1d20 + 30 ⇒ (10) + 30 = 40

Damage: 12d8 + 57 ⇒ (7, 2, 1, 7, 1, 3, 7, 1, 5, 7, 7, 2) + 57 = 107

Amazing Initiative: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (17) + 30 = 47

12d8 + 50 ⇒ (1, 5, 6, 8, 1, 8, 4, 5, 8, 4, 8, 5) + 50 = 113

I don't think Holy or Shocking Burst will affect Mothra.

Round 3: He whacks him again.

1d20 + 30 ⇒ (2) + 30 = 32

12d8 + 57 ⇒ (7, 4, 1, 2, 8, 7, 7, 7, 5, 4, 4, 1) + 57 = 114

If Mothra is still up:

Amazing Initiative Whack: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (19) + 30 = 49

12d8 + 50 ⇒ (8, 3, 6, 1, 4, 1, 5, 5, 4, 1, 6, 1) + 50 = 95

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Oh I should probably roll to see what flavor of crazy I have.

1d100 ⇒ 51

WOOOO I GET 4 MORE PEOPLE LIVIN' IN MY HEAD! HEAD PARTY! YEAAAAAH!

Multiple Personality Disorder guys I can be a different character every day of the work week.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

1d100 ⇒ 25

1d20 + 24 ⇒ (1) + 24 = 25

Sieg avoids the Yellow Sign as well, but is unfortunately unable to shake off Insanity.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Oh I completely forgot, I have Grab.

Grapple, hope for a 20: 1d20 + 42 ⇒ (13) + 42 = 55

Reflex vs Atomic Breath: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32

At 18 HP, before Rage and Titan's Rage (+4 Con apiece, so 78 HP).

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

So, re-rolling my damage. I would have made the Amazing Initiative hit first in that case (I get extra damage on my first hit a round and I'd want it to be the big one), and then Sudden Attack afterwards. Shouldn't change anything since both hit. Both should have had an extra +1 to-hit (not that it mattered) because I forgot about Weapon Focus.

Vital Strike: 12d8 + 171 + 2d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 8, 4, 4, 4, 1, 5, 2, 2, 2, 6) + 171 + (5, 6) = 223

Sudden Attack: 3d8 + 46 ⇒ (5, 2, 2) + 46 = 55

Crit damage: 3d8 + 46 ⇒ (5, 3, 1) + 46 = 55

So I only do a mere (lel) 333 damage. The saddest part is it's now no longer a 36 hit spiked punch, and more of a 15 (18 counting crit, perhaps). Still respectable, I think, though my to-hit against Hastur is ridiculously low. I may actually spend an action on True Strike next round just to make sure I hit.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg likewise runs at Hastur, bringing up his wellspring of Rage for a worthy foe, and growing in size.

Will vs Unspeakable Presence: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (17) + 24 = 41

Awesome.

"DIE! THIRTY-SIX HIT KUGI PUNCH!" Vital Strikes in da house. Huge sized Unarmed Strikes. Eat dat 6d8.

Sudden Attack: 1d20 + 36 ⇒ (6) + 36 = 42
Sudden Attack roll 2: 1d20 + 36 ⇒ (20) + 36 = 56

Damage: 18d8 + 171 + 2d6 ⇒ (4, 8, 2, 1, 4, 8, 7, 4, 4, 4, 3, 2, 7, 5, 6, 8, 8, 1) + 171 + (1, 4) = 262

Amazing Initiative: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (19) + 29 = 48

Damage: 18d8 + 150 + 2d6 ⇒ (8, 2, 4, 1, 2, 2, 5, 3, 2, 8, 4, 4, 7, 1, 3, 4, 7, 2) + 150 + (2, 3) = 224

Confirm Sudden Attack: 1d20 + 36 ⇒ (9) + 36 = 45

Surge, because why not: 1d10 ⇒ 3

Confirms, I think. Barely.

Crit damage: 6d8 + 57 ⇒ (4, 3, 2, 3, 5, 3) + 57 = 77

Full round run, Free action Rage and Titan's Rage (1 MP), Swift action Sudden Attack (1 MP), Amazing Initiative (1 MP).

563 total damage. Didn't bother rolling Lightning damage. I THINK I remembered all the damage bonuses. Forgot for a minute there you got 3x Str et al bonus too. Mythic Vital Strike is f+&@ing INSANE.

And all for the low, low price of 4 Mythic Power!

Note, if the second hit in fact missed, I would use the Surge on that one and screw the crit, obviously.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

1d20 + 22 ⇒ (16) + 22 = 38

Sieg is not taken in by the trick.

Though I don't believe it would have an effect either way, we've got both Protection form Chaos and Protection from Evil up.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg cracks his knuckles and prepares for the fight.

1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg feels a surge of energy as the Mythic energies wash over him, changing him thoroughly.

On an impulse, he unleashes a punch on a destroyed building as the group leaves Hong Kong, seemingly striking only once, but in fact repeatedly striking the building faster than the normal eye can perceive.

As the building crumbles to rubble he smiles.

"Yes, I think we're ready too."

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Retrained stuff:

Jawbreaker/Bonebreaker/Neckbreaker, Final Embrace, and Ability Focus: Stunning Fist replaced with Vital Strike/Improved/Greater, Devastating Strike and Lunge.

Mythic Stunning Fist replaced with Mythic Vital Strike, Titan's Bane replaced with Titan's Rage.

Now maybe I can actually hurt things without all those dead Feats. Besides, I've been watching/reading Toriko and I really want to be able to do a SPIKED PUUUUUUNCH!

Champion/Guardian 7:

+5 HP
Surge +1d10
Mythic Feat: Mythic Improved Vital Strike
Extra Mythic Feat: Mythic Improved Unarmed Strike

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Sieg smiles back and bows to the dragon, then takes his ready stance.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

"I will prove myself worthy of the Pearl, dragon, but I do not wish to kill you. There is far too much evil in this world for the forces of good to kill each other over magical trinkets."

Initiative: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23

Will: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (10) + 23 = 33

For the duration of this fight, Sieg will be dealing nonlethal damage.

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

"I think this is the place we are looking for."

He begins striding more quickly, though still cautiously, toward the entrance of the place.
