These glass vials are called Haunt Siphons-these cold iron casings are etched with strange runes and necromantic designs. They are used to capture a haunt's energy within. its a standard action to use and you must be within the haunts area of influence to use it. when activated its deals 3d6 of positive energy damage to a single haunt. if it does enough damage to get it to 0 HP the mist inside glows green. Once used it is no longer magical but can be used as a grenadelike splash weapon of 1d6 negative energy damage with a direct hit. with 1 point of neg damage for splash if within 5 feet DC 24 Arcana vs board and planchette: These 2 items are typically found together. the thin wooden board has numerous letters and number painted on it. The brass planchette allows users to communicate with the other side. You found a Ouija board. it takes 2d6 rounds to use while the planchette attunes to the ambient spirits of the area. Answers are Yes, no, maybe or by spelling out a single word. This may be used once per day. with one question per day.
Sorry guys! i think my post got eaten! With another thrust from Chellian the centipede guts splatter along the floor. End of Combat After dealing with the bugs you walk up to the sarcophagus and inspect the cache. According to the Professor's journal he already raided this cache, but didn't take everything. Pulling back the lid of the sarcophagus, you find the cache and quite a few items. There are a dozen silver arrows and 17 other arrows of different variety, some look to be of finer quality, there are 5 potion bottles that look the same and 2 potions in nicer bottles. You also find some scrolls and a think darkwood case decorated with an image of a scarab with a single eye glaring from its back. Kn Arcana DC 19 vs arrows:

Carrion Crown Recruitment This will be my first time GM-ing an Adventure Path as Play-by-post but I’m excited and have the time, it’ll probably be slower at first and then picking up in pace as I get into the hang of things. I’m looking for people to post at least once a day. And with that said here is what I'm looking for for this adventure. -Create a 1st level character, with full HP as standard. -20 point buy. After racial modifiers, no stat can go below 7 or above 18. -Two traits, with one coming from the Carrion Crown Player's Guide. I am open to retooling or reflavouring the traits if someone has a good background that suits the campaign, but doesn't fall into one of the given backgrounds. -Most classes and archetypes allowed, no Occult classes though please and no Summoners. Gunslinger & Firearms The PCs are aware of firearms, knowing them when they see them.
-Core races and Dhampirs, Skinwalkers, Tieflings, Fetchlings, Hobgoblin, Ratfolk and Duskwalkers -Average starting gold for your class. -Any non-evil alignments. Convincing me to allow an evil character is going to be a really hard sell and it's probably not worth the effort. That said, questionably-motivated characters of good or neutral alignments are okay. -Please provide a solid background for your character. I intend to run a fairly roleplay-heavy game and really get into the campaign's fluff, so I'm looking for fleshed out characters, with backstories and personalities. I'm also showing heavy bias for characters who fit the tone of the campaign; characters who may be motivated by an encounter with dark creatures in their past, seek forbidden knowledge, or have dark secrets that may come to light in their time in Ustalav. Fluff-related archetypes are also appreciated, and overarching character motivations or aims are always amazing. I may reward depth before we begin play with little things; additional traits, bonus gold, a couple skill points... Give me something I like and I will not let it go unrewarded. Please read the Carrion Crown Player's Guide , not only for the traits but also the sections for your class and race, as well as any setting bits, so you know about the setting going in.
-I'd like to get a rate of at least one post a day going. Weekends might be more lax if the chosen players can't do weekends nearly as reliably, but regular weekday posting is a must to move at a decent rate through the campaign. Being able to post multiple times a day is also good. Please leave your time zone in the thread as well, for logistical reasons. Mine is EST (GMT -5). -As stated above, this game will lean more on the roleplay side of things. There's no sense in playing a horror campaign as a dungeon crawl with mood music. I'd prefer players willing to get into things, interacting with the townsfolk and letting their characters get caught up in the story rather than seeking the next thing to stab. Write out posts with some detail and personality to them, more than just a line of dialogue or "He stabs the dude." The feat Spirited Charge does most of the work. Strength +6 damage, Power Attack +6, Magic Weapon +1, is a base of +13 damage. Rage adds +3 damage and Challenge adds +5 and in this instance prayer is adding +1 damage. 6 + 6 + 1 + 3 + 5 + 1 = +22 damage. Spirited Charge causes a mounted lance attack to do x3 damage, now its +66 damage! This is Vorel(Cody), my wife is asleep but figured I could jump on and break down the math for ya. Earlier - Thanking Zahra and the captain, Tika begins her introduction, "I'm Tikaketsu of Goku but I just go by Tika. The loud thumping continues with a few more bangs until a Large gray beak with serrated teeth bursts through the floorboards of the ship, sending splinters flying through the galley. With a large colorful bird head, with a 2-foot long beak emerges and looks around for its master, "SQUUAAAAWWWWKK!"
