I'm surprised at how well Paizo has nerfed object damage. If a 57 ton projectile moving at 1k mph only deals 128d6 damage, that's something I can just shrug off. That makes me feel awesome.

IS IT THE JOURNEY TO THE WEST ONE?!? :D

Yup.

Sūn Xíngzhě
Race: Human? Illusion of the Divine? Monkey?*
Role: Tank, actual monkey?, hit it with a huge column, hit it with lightning.
Class: Aegis 20/Cleric 5|Meditant 20/Shark (Monkey! :P) Incarnate 5
Mythic depends on whether Overmind is allowed. Still haven't seen a go ahead on that.

*mechanically human with bells, whistles, and fluffy tail.

What each Class means to the build:
Aegis represents his divine flesh, more durable than a normal human, as well as granting him the ability to wield a super oversized weapon*. Meditant represents his crazy monk(ey) fu. Shark Incarnate is used primarily to represent the etherealness of his existence and how the power he has is interchangeable with his body. Cleric is because Wùkōng was also known for protective wards against evil magic, and Xíngzhě is growing in devotion to Guanshiyin.

*Huge sized quarterstaff for 2d6, whoo!

"Using Sun Wukong as a basis is pretty neat. Trying to mirror him isn't. Pathfinder just won't let you get to that point, like jumping 34k miles in a leap, lifting fighting with a rod that ways almost 9 tons, etc. I have a feeling that even trying to mimic some of his abilities would too narrowly focus you. "

Did you read my character's backstory? He is explicitly established to be weaker than Sūn Wùkōng. Sūn Wùkōng exists in pathfinder, see Dragon Empires book, I think. He's a Tian pantheon deity. Sūn Xíngzhě is a diefic illusion, who, due to gods being so powerful, is still pretty mighty in his own strength, though still no challenger to the gods.

So, for example, Compliant Column is not Ruyi Jingu Bang. Ruyi Jingu Bang exists and Sūn Wùkōng wields it. Compliant Column is a lesser copy of it. Compliant Column's method of destruction involves Ruyi Jingu Bang. Compliant Column's weight isn't constant, unlike Ruyi Jingu Bang. It doesn't have the golden bands, thus not looking the same.

Also, Seven League Leap. I could totally fly 32 miles in one leap. It's explicitly in the rules. I wouldn't even have to roll. Wait for me, Mythic rank 6... Wait for me...

Also, when Sūn Xíngzhě maxes out his strength at the cost of other stats, Ruyi Jingu Bang is within his heavy load, so he could carry, but not wield(In any sense other than dropping 9 tons on you, which, admittedly, might be pretty effective), Ruyi Jingu Bang.

The Compliant Column-

This is a black stone column, with strange indentations as though there were once metal bands around it.

The Compliant Column is a quarterstaff has the ability to change to any size category. This does not grant the wielder the ability to wield a weapon of that size. However, it does change any abilities the wielder has that increase the damage as though by one size category (like Lead Blades) into allowing the wielder the ability to wield a weapon of one size category higher. Any such abilities still stack using their normal rules. If the wielder is capable of boosting his effective size category of weapon beyond Colossal, the Compliant Column can stretch beyond its normal abilities to match.

The Compliant Column can be destroyed as a normal weapon if Sūn Wùkōng's Ruyi Jingu Bang is destroyed, but otherwise cannot drop below 1 HP.

~~

And really, that's all I need out of the Compliant Column. I might throw some enchantments on there, but I don't see how that needs to be part of its special rules.

Hit things with a giant column of stone is in my role description. We have at least one warrior option. And at least one monkey option.

Hup.

Mythic path is still completely undecided, because I'm honestly mostly gravitating towards universal abilities and feats at the moment.

Awesome.

Say, anyone know of good Sūn Wùkōng pics? I'm having a hard time finding one with the right mix of trickster, monk, and warrior.
