I know this has most likely been answered here many times, but I cannot find them.

If I am mounted and using a lance what is my power attack? Is it -1/+2 or -1/3+?

If there has been a FAQ on this already, can someone please link it for me? If not can I get an official Paizo ruling on the subject matter somehow?

I posted in the Ask James Jacobs forum and he requested that I post here instead as he is not an authority on the matter.

Morning,

So my players have moved from the idea of simply ruling the isle in the Way of the Wicked AP to wanting to kill the god Mitra.

Normally I would never allow this, but seeing this AP has no bearing on the inner sea (our normal stomping ground) and Mitra is never used anywhere else, I feel that this would be a once in a life time chance to have an epic mortal vs deity battle.

My question becomes this - How do my players pull Mitra from his home plane, where he would simply think them out of existence, to the prime where he would be 'killable'?

Never mind the stat block(s) or any of the actual fight, I am simply looking for advice on what would cause a god to manifest wholly on the prime plane.

I am sorry if this is a repeat but I can't find a topic on this anywhere.

I know mythic spells cannot be crafted into wands but can they be stored in a spell storing weapon/armor?

So I have been looking at the Orodin builds, Oracle/Paladin that uses life link to heal passively.

My question is - can I apply more than 1 Life Link per person? Based on the wording in the text, it doesn't say you can't.

My GM is open to the idea since I will be the main healer of the party, but only if I can get a ruling on the wording.

Thanks in advance.

The night following the events in the Grey Garrison, each of you receives a dinner invitation requesting your presence at the Xavier Estate.

This post assumes you all agree and arrive.

When you arrive at the estate you notice that it has seen better days. Half the grounds are barren, ash filled pits, evidence of the recent troubles of the city. The main manner somehow escaped the desolation that claimed much of the surrounding area. A slightly older man meets you are the door. He smiles in greetings.

Greetings honored guests. The Lord Xavier is currently in prayer in the main chapel and requests that you await him in the gallery. Shall I take you coats? He hangs each offered coat in a coat room. This way please. As you are lead through you the house you notice all the usual trappings of old money; large portraits, stone carved busts of both sexes, suits of armor polished to shine even though they have probably never been worn.

Arriving in the gallery the first thing you notice this room seems to be more recently decorated than the rest. Here among the display cases home to various collectibles from around the Worldwound are stacks of books.

Oh what a mess. The young Master has been at this all night. He’s driven as I have never seen. comments the older man off hand. A moment passes before Maximillian rushes through the door, seemingly lost in thought.

Young Master, your guests . . . Maximillian nods in his direction but doesn’t look up from the book he is consumed with. Of course George, right after this book.

Maximillian Cornelius Xavier the 3rd! The older man barely raises his voice but the effect of Maximillian is instant. His head snaps up and finally takes in the room. Oh. Is it that time already? He asks sheepishly.

Come my friends, he looks around at the mess of books. Oh . . . He begins to fruitlessly move stacks of book around. After a moment or two he gives up the mighty quest of cleaning. Let’s remove ourselves to the dining hall. I am sure dinner is almost ready and there is much to discuss.

He quickly leads you into the adjoining room, which is dominated by a large oak table. The walls of the room are covered in banners and tapestries of all kinds, ranging from starscapes to historical scenes.
Sit anywhere you’d like, except for the darkwood chair at the head, which is my father’s seat, no one sits there. He takes a seat to the right of the aforementioned chair. After you have all settled servants begin bringing in various trays of food. It is all above common fair, but not what you would have expected to be served. It is common working class food, meat stew and bread, with small beer or watered wine.

Apologies for the standard of food this evening. I have sent everything else from the stores to be spread among the survivors of the city. I’m sure you have been dying to know why I invited you here no? The visions my friends. Surely you experienced them when we shattered the wardstone of the Grey Garrison. He takes a moment to take a small sip of water and open the tome he was carrying to a page he had marked.

I have been looking into shared visions and the history of the Wardstones ever sense. The visions were true! This is a rare tome from the oldest section of the city. It gives a detailed account of the creation of the Wardstones. How the Heavens sent a powerful being to aid the mortals in their creation and use. He pushes the tome aside and drops another in its place. This is a crusaders account of the attack of the Storm King of Iz and how he struck the Wardstone before being driven out. It’s all true. My friends do you know what this means? he asks leaning forward. We are agents of the divine.

Ok so I know there are about a 1000 on these around here somewhere but I cannot seem to find one.

I am running Wrath of the Righteous and one of my players is playing a full orc barbarian. After stat increases, minor magical items, and racial bonus he now has a 30 STR when raging, which is somewhere around +30 bonus damage (STR x1.5, mythic power attack, reckless something, etc).

Spoilers:

In book two they just fought the mythic chimera and he almost one shot it in the opening round.

How do I deal with a character like this? I don't want to tell him to change characters, but I hold the option open. I would like to find a way within the rule to deal with this in game.

Swarms? Incorporeal? Horde of minions?

I realize as mythic there are supposed to deal insane damage, and being that they are about level 7 there are in the mid power range.

I'm not sure this is the correct place to post this but I cannot seem to find it written anywhere.

When I run a game I divide the combat EXP among the players, as each helped in combat.

Do I do the same for story EXP? I am currently running Wrath of the Righteous and it says that by part 3 the players should be right around 3rd level.

My players, with all EXP split evenly have earned 3000 exp which isn't quite level 3.

However if I only split combat exp and award Story exp per player then they would have just over 6k which is just over 3rd level. Is this how the writers planned exp to be awarded? I've never run from a set AP before only home written games.

Thanks in advance.

So some friends and I are playing this thru and I am playing to monk. I have a couple rules questions that I can't seem to find any answers for.

1 - One of the Card Powers I can get as the monk is 1 Spell. Does this mean I can cast any one spell or can I just hold it but not cast it? If I can cast it, what school? Arcane or Divine?

2 - If you have multiple people on the same location and someone flips a monster and fail to defeat it and takes damage. If the other players defeat it does the 1st player still take the damage for failing to defeat it?

Thanks in advance.

Greetings,

I am planning on running high(er) level game. I am trying to find loop holes that I may have missed since I have never been in a High Level game before.

1. My players are in Mendev (far north) and have to travel down to Jalmeray (far south). It's about 3000 miles each way. I want to put them on a time limit but I want to make sure that there is: A) enough time and B) not too much time. I assume by pedestian standards they can cover 30 miles a day walking or 40-50 miles a day riding. What I am unclear on is magic. Are there spells that I am over looking that will speed them along? If so what spells and from what sourcebook.

2. What other pitfalls should I be looking for when gaming? I know they will be very powerful and I will have to expect as much, but what are some past experiences DMs/GMs have had with players this high level?

Thanks in advance.

So as the title says I am starting a new campaign this year that is centered in the 4th Crusade of Mendev.

Are there any books or materials out there based on this region? I have the Inner Sea Guide but am looking for more lore about the land and maybe some guides to the last crusades.

Or has anyone run a demonic game and have any tips or hints for RPing demons or interacting with demonic intrests?

Thanks in advance.

So I am working with a completely new person, trying to teach him the basics of Pathfinder and I gave him an Iphone App that has teh books on it. After reading it he told me he wants to try the Arcane Archer, because he likes 'the idea of shooting an arrow, having a bunch of illusions of it pop out and all hit the guy.'

Now I have no problem with his idea, but I don't think there is actually a spell that does that is there? Also, can you damage a person with an illusion? I know in the older editions if the believed in it they took damage with the whole mind over body idea. Does that still hold true?

I am not sure if there is a thread about this somewhere but after an hour of looking I decided to post one myself.

Thanks in advance.

So I am trying to toss an anti-magic room in my game but was wondering if there is a list somewhere of what still works within i.e. smite evil/judgements.

I know you can still rage within one, so can an inquisitor still use his judgement class feature? or a paladin use smite evil? Can a summon summon his eidilon outside one and still have it be active once he walks in. Specifically the synthesis archetype.

So I want to poll the forums and ask if you think a paladin taking advantage of flanking is dishonorable?

Also -thoughts on a med armor/dual wielding paladin? All I have ever see played is a sword/shield or 2-hander.

I am not sure if this is rules, or general or what but I cannot seem to find much info on them at all. A little background:

The game I am running now is a part II of the game we finished last year. The last game I let the PC's get their evil on and it was all evil themed and amazing. Now its 200 years later and the party now has to contend with the actions they took all those years ago. There was one Anti-pally that became a Scion of his God. We'll after the fall of the group his armor was shipped back to his former Order to keep watch over. Now a silly squire (same PC) broke in and is now slightly possessed by the evil living within the armor. The theme of his RP is him trying to combat the evil within the armor with repenting for his crimes, he went a little crazy after first donning it on, killed something like 12 paladin elders and his sister.

I don't want them to try and cleanse the armor as it is now almost an Epic Tiered Artifact with near sentience. I am mainly looks for ideas to use as plot points on how they COULD destroy the armor. It's not the main focus of the game by any means but should my PC fall the evil within the armor he will transform into a new Scion of Evil.

Any ideas would greatly help me out, so thanks in advance.

So I just got the Psionics Unleashed and am reading through it. I keep coming upon the phrase 'maintaining your psionic focus' but cannot for the life of me find any information relating to what this is.

Any ideas where I can find it?

I'm sorry if there is a psionic thread somewhere else, I looked but could not find one.

Thanks
