![]() Cornered Fury: Whenever a saiyan is reduced to half its hit points or fewer and has no conscious ally within 30 feet, it gains a +2 racial bonus on melee attack rolls and to Armor Class. Way too Strong. This is basically a 2nd or 3rd level spell as a racial passive? Now if you want to boost the RP of the race higher, and powerful is what you were going for it could work, like drow nobles. ![]()
![]() I just charge by the spell level, for any casting. Just because you are good doesn't mean your have to be a paladin all the time. Unless the PCs are working for the church there is no reason for them to get a free lunch. If so they would never pay for food and drinks simply bc they are 'heroes'. Sure why not give give them all the gear they want, they are the good guys after all. Nope. You gotta pay to play, other wise why am I dropping gold in encounters? ![]()
![]() I know this has most likely been answered here many times, but I cannot find them. If I am mounted and using a lance what is my power attack? Is it -1/+2 or -1/3+? If there has been a FAQ on this already, can someone please link it for me? If not can I get an official Paizo ruling on the subject matter somehow? I posted in the Ask James Jacobs forum and he requested that I post here instead as he is not an authority on the matter. ![]()

What book mentions this sunken ship? I can use that as a tie in. Thank you all for you assistance. I know gods should not be killable and I never have allowed anything like this before, which is why I would like to try it. We are adding mythic into the mix to even give them a chance, but looking over some of the older editions stat blocks for gods is scary. ![]()
![]() Morning, So my players have moved from the idea of simply ruling the isle in the Way of the Wicked AP to wanting to kill the god Mitra. Normally I would never allow this, but seeing this AP has no bearing on the inner sea (our normal stomping ground) and Mitra is never used anywhere else, I feel that this would be a once in a life time chance to have an epic mortal vs deity battle. My question becomes this - How do my players pull Mitra from his home plane, where he would simply think them out of existence, to the prime where he would be 'killable'? Never mind the stat block(s) or any of the actual fight, I am simply looking for advice on what would cause a god to manifest wholly on the prime plane. ![]()
![]() So I have been looking at the Orodin builds, Oracle/Paladin that uses life link to heal passively. My question is - can I apply more than 1 Life Link per person? Based on the wording in the text, it doesn't say you can't. My GM is open to the idea since I will be the main healer of the party, but only if I can get a ruling on the wording. Thanks in advance. ![]()
![]() Umm is there an errata I am missing? I have Advanced Class and there is nothing in the Swashbuckler that says they get + Dex to damage in any of their abilities. Swashbuckler Finesse (Ex): At 1st level, a swashbuckler
Weapon Finesse is just using dex for to hit instead of str. ![]()
![]() I currently use rollD20 to run my games and host my maps. Most of my players use phone apps for character sheets and/or dice rollers. I find it speeds up the game a bit when they can click on button and have their attacks rolled and added up for them, same with damage. Now we are currently 13th level so there are a lot of modifiers that need to be added, or taken away, due to different effects/spells/potions/abilities. I enjoy using the web hosting for my maps so I can have everything set up at once and just reveal it as they get to it rather than have to move mini's around. My 2 bits. ![]()
![]() Whoa. I never said it needed to be nerfed. I was asking for ways to keep the encounters challenging for the rest of the party given how much damage he can churn out in a single round. I was looking for things to add to the fights to keep them from just feeling like grinding. I never thought about displacement or flying. Nor did I know that about regeneration. ![]()
![]() Ok so I know there are about a 1000 on these around here somewhere but I cannot seem to find one. I am running Wrath of the Righteous and one of my players is playing a full orc barbarian. After stat increases, minor magical items, and racial bonus he now has a 30 STR when raging, which is somewhere around +30 bonus damage (STR x1.5, mythic power attack, reckless something, etc). Spoilers:
In book two they just fought the mythic chimera and he almost one shot it in the opening round. How do I deal with a character like this? I don't want to tell him to change characters, but I hold the option open. I would like to find a way within the rule to deal with this in game. Swarms? Incorporeal? Horde of minions? I realize as mythic there are supposed to deal insane damage, and being that they are about level 7 there are in the mid power range. ![]()

![]() I can change my lancer to something different. Are you allowing Psionics? If yes then I would like to submit a Psionic Warrior. If not then I will submit a cleric, not a battle cleric but a caster cleric, or a ranger. I really like the ranger class. Edit - Psionic Warrior will be male, Half-giant if allowed. While the ranger will be a female, going for the Valkyrie theme ( lightning, spear, etc ). ![]()
![]() I am currently running the Wrath AP and some of my players are gestalting based on the 2nd edt multi-class rules (homemade xp tracks), we are using an advancement point system instead of +1 to a stat every 4 levels, custom spell points, one of my players is using a custom race (Hell Born) and a custom single class that is balanced to be a gestalt class in power (Dark Champion, think Death Knight) Do we use homebrew? Lol the better question is do we use core rules! ![]()
![]() I'm not sure this is the correct place to post this but I cannot seem to find it written anywhere. When I run a game I divide the combat EXP among the players, as each helped in combat. Do I do the same for story EXP? I am currently running Wrath of the Righteous and it says that by part 3 the players should be right around 3rd level. My players, with all EXP split evenly have earned 3000 exp which isn't quite level 3. However if I only split combat exp and award Story exp per player then they would have just over 6k which is just over 3rd level. Is this how the writers planned exp to be awarded? I've never run from a set AP before only home written games. Thanks in advance. ![]()
![]() I have run into this many time in my group when it is my turn to DM, as I almost always play the cleric. We house rule the Heal skill to be able to cure an amount of HP based on player level and ranks in the skill. We also use alchemy and herbalism to allow the player to craft non magical healing potions. ![]()
![]() So some friends and I are playing this thru and I am playing to monk. I have a couple rules questions that I can't seem to find any answers for. 1 - One of the Card Powers I can get as the monk is 1 Spell. Does this mean I can cast any one spell or can I just hold it but not cast it? If I can cast it, what school? Arcane or Divine? 2 - If you have multiple people on the same location and someone flips a monster and fail to defeat it and takes damage. If the other players defeat it does the 1st player still take the damage for failing to defeat it? Thanks in advance. ![]()
![]() Its not the travel that is the main point of the game, it's just something they have to do to obtain an item. I didn't realize you could take people with you when you teleport. I thought it was a personal spell. Now I can plan things out better taking those spells in mind. I am not going to limit them from using their spells, but I do have places that bar dimentional travel. Thanks for the advice guys. ![]()
![]() Greetings, I am planning on running high(er) level game. I am trying to find loop holes that I may have missed since I have never been in a High Level game before. 1. My players are in Mendev (far north) and have to travel down to Jalmeray (far south). It's about 3000 miles each way. I want to put them on a time limit but I want to make sure that there is: A) enough time and B) not too much time. I assume by pedestian standards they can cover 30 miles a day walking or 40-50 miles a day riding. What I am unclear on is magic. Are there spells that I am over looking that will speed them along? If so what spells and from what sourcebook. 2. What other pitfalls should I be looking for when gaming? I know they will be very powerful and I will have to expect as much, but what are some past experiences DMs/GMs have had with players this high level? Thanks in advance. ![]()
![]() So as the title says I am starting a new campaign this year that is centered in the 4th Crusade of Mendev. Are there any books or materials out there based on this region? I have the Inner Sea Guide but am looking for more lore about the land and maybe some guides to the last crusades. Or has anyone run a demonic game and have any tips or hints for RPing demons or interacting with demonic intrests? Thanks in advance.
