"At 1st level, the warlock may select two school abilities; he also gains new school abilities at higher levels (see the warlock table). School abilities come from the arcane school lists. In addition, the warlock may learn additional school abilities listed in this section. The warlock does not gain any specialist bonuses or bonus spells. The warlock may only take a school ability less than or equal to his warlock level. He may also take a cantrip in place of a school ability. For example, a 2nd level warlock gets a new school ability. Since he is not yet fourth level, he must select a 1st level ability or cantrip. The warlock does not need to take a lower level school ability in order to select a higher one. For example, a 4th level warlock can select summon monster even if he doesn’t have acid dart." This imply's that there are more then one 1st lvl ability, even naming one that does not exist. any errata on this or do I need to homebrew a fix?
My group always do loot splitting in game so it can be different each time. Once the party leader was a very hands one kinda guy so he handed out loot to each character and knew exactly what each person had. Another ( and most times)the party talked about each item and who needed it most. usually loot is sold that isn't needed and split among the party. Items that no one is using is put in party treasure and then sold and divided.
I had a player like this in my group. he would complain all the time. Whine about not doing damage, then whine about his skills not being good enough. One time I looked at his sheet after he whined and found he had the best skills out of the whole party. I kicked him out of the group. Now with any luck your player is not as bad as mine was.
think its funny that after it was stated that the "tank term" was used for easy reference and communication purposes that everyone still needs to make a big deal out of it. saying tank is much easier then saying my high AC High HP character that trys to get hit by all the enemies.I've been playing tabletop games for a long time and have never seen people throw such a fit over such a thing before.
i would simply talk to the DM, tell him your character is leaving the party, as he couldn't stay with evil people like the rest of the party. Maybe even tell him to feel free to NPC your character to gather a party and hunt down these evil doers. And then make a character that fits in with the party. As long as your having fun there is no reason to find another group.

I have a party of all normal races. when one of the characters died the player said he wanted to run a Fletchling and that it was in a pathfinder book. After we started he was telling me all the things his race could do. The race seemed a bit strong and I looked it up. The race has no lvl adjustment but is worth 17 race points where the normal ones have none listed. Looking to find out if I should let it go or add LVL adjustment.

So I'm playing in a game and have chosen to take words of power. My DM has allowed my to make custom wop that my character can find and learn later in the game. so I want to run some of these past you guys. I'm not looking for over powered so if you think they don't fit the right power lvl for words of power please let me know. My character is a magus so most of these will be created with that in mind. Gravity words
Defending weapon (gravity)
Summon words Summon item (conjuration)

well its as simple as see the direction the players are interested in, and then letting it go. A little romance is nice in a good rpg, but once the characters/npc's get to the "bedroom" its time to handwave it. if the players want to decide "how" they did it, that can be done on there time. No campyness needed. any other weird stuff is left up to what it maybe, and if it offends anouther play because of it over the topness then it just isn't right for that table and it is stated then and there.
I've personally only ended one game while I was a DM, I had one player who slept till combat and another who rules lawyer-ed and made characters to purposely start in and out of game fights, and I had a 3rd player who just sucked at the game. So I canceled the game and called two of the players and told them they could come back for the new game I was starting.
Ok so my DM believes that the shield spell only gives you a shield bonus against targets in front of you. Here is why: Shield creates an invisible, tower shield-sized mobile disk of force that hovers in front of you. It negates magic missile attacks directed at you. The disk also provides a +4 shield bonus to AC. This bonus applies against incorporeal touch attacks, since it is a force effect. The shield has no armor check penalty or arcane spell failure chance. Unlike with a normal tower shield, you can’t use the shield spell for cover. So does anyone else disagree with his conclusion and agree that is there for visual effect only?
