![]() So, my work stress anxiety situation resolved itself... Now I'm just with uncertainty about what's next for me where I work. The next few months are more or less known but after that is less so. In the meantime I'm dealing with discouragement, disappointment, disengagement, etc. I'm honestly not sure what all this means for my ability to keep playing but I'm going to hope that I'll be able to resume as I was before. So my battle plan is to A) get caught up on all my games, slowly (I am behind by as many as 60 posts in some games!) and then B) stay caught up as much as I can. I have a lot of family coming to visit this week and a lot of prep to do, but I did take the week off. Expect to hear from me in gameplay soon! ![]()

![]() Solo parenting for the next few days and dealing with a lot of anxiety-inducing stuff at work. Sorry for not posting this notice sooner. I do plan to return but it may be a week or two before I can post regularly again. I will let you know when I am over the hump but meanwhile I will post if and when I can. Bot me otherwise. ![]()

![]() Between packing tonight, traveling, and doing con related things, I will be busy with GenCon from now until Sunday. I don't expect to be caught up to speed until Monday or Tuesday. If any of y'all will be playing organized play at GenCon and want to meet up, send me a PM! I enjoy the tables much more when playing with a friend. I will continue to read posts through the RSS feed and may drop in for a post, but please bot me whenever it becomes necessary. ![]()

![]() Rali is speechless for a moment, overwhelmed by meeting a psychopomp face to face as well as by the information it offers. "How--why--we--...” He clears his throat. He places his hand over his heart and offers a dwarven bow. "I am Rali Mithralfist. I serve the psychopomps as a humble shepherd of souls, and I am honored to meet you." He allows a response before answering the question. "We have no idea how we came to be here. We were together at a tavern. Then we awoke in coffins here. I take it we are in the boneyard? Do you know how we can get back? If we are not dead then our souls do not belong here." " Except hers perhaps..." He says under his breath of Siiska. Though he does not point or give the psychopomp any other indication who he might be referring to. ![]()

![]() Once a day Rali can use Calm Spirit if he succeeds at a melee attack roll. Calm Sprit:
Duration 1 minute or 1 round/level; see text Saving Throw Will negates or none; see text; Spell Resistance yes This spell temporarily calms agitated haunts and incorporeal undead such as ghosts. You have no control over the affected creatures, but calm spirit postpones hostile action by the affected spirits for the duration of the spell. Entities so affected cannot take violent actions or do anything destructive, including triggering persistent haunt abilities, though they can defend themselves. Any aggressive action against or damage dealt to a calmed spirit or haunt immediately ends the effect. Haunts do not receive a saving throw against the spell, but the caster must succeed at a caster level check whose difficulty is equal to at least 10 + the haunt's CR in order to temporarily calm the angry entity. The spell's duration changes to concentration (up to 1 round/level) when affecting a haunt. |
