Watching the reverend yeet himself off the building as a lemming chased by researchers, the halfling frowns. "He...he left me..."

Time seems to slow to a stop as the man goes hurtling over the side. Quinn turns back towards the battlefield, scanning the scene. 'Muse, dead. Mount...gone...' thinking back to the course of the battle, he furrows his brow. 'I don't recall seeing the dragon die...did she hit him so hard there's nothing left?!'

His eyes fall on the pristine statue, his glue holding it to the roof...for now. "This is bad."

Looking to the ground behind him, he considers stepping off the landing for a moment, but shakes his head. "I am Quinn Hadas." he declares, to the serpent lady. "I scribe the dark and research what others wouldn't dare. You make strike me down this day, but I've bound my soul to another and will rise again!"

Pulling out his last bomb, he holds it aloft for the fiend to see before smashing the vial against his chest. A wave of ice spreads outward in a 20ft cone.

Frost Damage: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16 for Varies: 3d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 4, 2) + 4 = 11
And need a dc17 fort save vs staggered for 1 round

Directed Blast (Su) causes bomb to erupt in a 20ft cone with 1 target being direct hit target (Serpent lady), others in cone take splash of 7

Attack is vs her touch AC and doesn't provoke, I do believe it catches Zenaida for what that's worth

Raising his right hand up in a fist, he raises a single finger and offers a wide grin. "Bring it, wench!"

Agreed, I believe I just managed to survive this round.

22 base AC + 3 Fighting Defensively = 25 prior to Prot Evil.

That doesn't necessarily mean the end results change much though. Gotta try to kill me again next round GM. :-P

I'm contemplating a monk myself, but I'm willing to adjust based off what we may need. I suspect Quinn won't survive this battle without divine intervention.

Frowning as the beast drops another companion and closes the distance between them, Quinn looks up and down the narrow stairs.

Down to only 1 bomb mix left, and knowing first hand the deadly force wielding that spear, Quinn hunkers down. Taking careful aim, he fires an arrow and hops away from the foe. (fighting defensively as a standard, firing 1 arrow, 5 ft step away)

@Loth, I love where you're headed but currently I'm not very effective against objects. I also have slight concern for our newly sculpted piece of art transforming into a 3d puzzle.

@Zenaida, I really hope your dex save is currently low, as this is technically an offensive elixir...but I think it would help.


@GM, knowledge check for statue supports. Want to see if I believe I can help weaken the supports by strategically shooting Arrows from range?

Glancing towards the statue, Quinn furrows his brow and scratches his gin. "Honestly, my readings on building codes has been a bit lax." he admits trying to consider possible pressure points.

Feeling weak, he eyes the beast, his sides aching. 'Is this what I want to do with my life'

Taking a shaky breath, he downs another vial, swirls it around and spews it out, covering his stony companion. 'Hope that holds'

Turning back to the issue at hand, he frowns. 'This isn't looking good...' Thumbing a familiar vial, he shakes his head. 'This needs thought, not brutishness...'

After a seeming eternity, he pulls a round flask and mixes a few ingredients, before giving the contents a quick shake. Taking aim as the contents turn a milky white, he tosses it at the beast, attempting to avoid his stony companion.

While, I would love to not be nauseated, I agree with the GMs ruling.

Looking through the forums, I've seen differing opinions. The wording is what sticks out to me. "mind control over the target" would be a subset in my opion.

I'd expect them to use the term 'compulsion' or 'mind-affecting' if they meant to include all of those spells. While we wouldn't encounter it in society play, an evil teammate wouldn't be able to cast bless on his companions if all were included while prot-evil was up.

Gagging, he looks towards the stairs and up to the beast. In his best attempt to put some space between him and the enemy, he flattens himself to the wall and slowly crawls upward 5ft so his more combative friends can get better access.

Fighting his instinct to draw the bow at his side, he simply calls out "Truly, our primary aim her is to gain information. Perhaps we could come to some agreement of sorts?"

those are great options to have but mat want to hold off amd see if that energy type is used, if you have other options

It's vs regular ac when attached to an arrow. If it misses it doesn't detonate.

The discovery is called "Explosive Missile".

I have no need for the gear from them.what about the poison? It could come in handy if someone can reliably use it.

Hopping down from Tarphrex's shoulder, the tiny man quick grows to normal size. His eyes seem narrower on his face as he follows the others through the battlefield, poking and prodding at the felled foes.

Eyeing the strange mask with interest, he keeps silent for the moment.

Upending the black liquid, he chokes it down. Nearly immediately, his eyes narrow, his skin thickens, amd his muscles seem to vibrate within. A deeper voice calls out "It's about time you let me take over."

With a cruel smile and a new sense of confidence, he again surveys the battlefield. "Been a long time since I've been allowed to enjoy myself."

Hearing a series of shrieks, Quinn looks back towards the main room as a giant hole opens in the ground. Chuckling, he tightens his grip on Tarphrex. "Great Dragon, that is a magnificent skill you've picked up. I think you and I may become great friends."

As the enemies press the attack, he frowns. 'I hope this cloud isn't too dangerous...I may have to...' his thoughts trailing off, he thumbs the vial with the skull again.

Shaking his head slightly, the alchemist quickly mixes up another shadowfrost bomb before smashing the vial against his chest. Concentrating, waves of cold and shadow radiate outward in a cone from the tiny man...snaking around his allies.

Wide eyes darting from each speaker to the next, the halfling hesitates. 'We're really going to attack a judge? I mean...we aren't supposed to be...' his thoughts trail off as Master Loth charges in, the tiny man shrugs.

Squinting towards the back of the room, he curses under his breath as the judge vanishes. 'Maybe he didn't see me?'

Grasping tightly at his Heroic Steed, Quin reaches into his cloak and pulls out a round vial. He proceeds to mix together a few chemicals, careful to avoid any spills before chucking it towards the back of the room.

"That could be a problem." he acknowledges. "I'll keep an eye out for them, sir."

Reaching into his folds again, the pocket scribe pulls out another vial. Stopping short, he shoves it back into his cloak before downing a red liquid. As his tiny muscles become more pronounced, he grumbles. "I'm not ready to pull him out."

"As a heads up, I've not used my bombs much before. I'll do me best to help more than I hinder...but it may take some trial and error to get it just right."

Seeing his companions come to a census, Quinn nods. The halfling downs another vial of fluid and grips his bow tightly. After a moment, the short man's arms shoot into his side and his legs wither away...

In the blink of an eye the halfling becomes half the size he once was...pocket sized if you will.

"I'll take rear guard" squeaks the tiny bowman.

Though short lived, Quinn breathes a sigh of relief as Master Lith reappears unharmed. Keeping his bow at the ready but pointed down, he eyes the workers.

'Maybe we won't have to fight' he considers, the adrenaline still filling his veins. 'This is definitely not like the stories I've read.'

Hopeful, Quinn waits to see how the opposition receives his companionss' words.
