I remember i went on a vacation once, i wound up catching Bronchitis... In florida ... During the summer... I know the pain of ruined vacations
But no not attacking Taphrex. You'll have to excuse me I'm working through a cold and my minds a little... Unable to operate
Alain Lawrence
Might be unresponsive for a few days. Bot as necessary. Just found out my granny passed so.. funeral stuff. I'll be in touch
Loth Dalveran
My condolences. Take the time you need.
And GM, I'm sorry to hear about your vacation as well. Rough times...
Tarphrex the Magnificent
My condolences, Alain. Peace to you and yours.
Tarphrex the Magnificent
GM, that's really unfortunate. I'm glad the kids had fun and hopefully have good memories. Maybe it's something you will laugh about later...
Loth Dalveran
A little glitchy, but nothing drastic
Tarphrex the Magnificent
I hadn’t noticed, but I check manually. I don’t know the fancy tricks.
GM Sphen
I imagine Tarphrex is trying to wait on their action because that's when the pit disappears (I believe).
Tarphrex the Magnificent
Actually, knowing when the pit is ending, I paused to burning hands any survivors. I presume the pit ends on my old initiative whether that’s my action or not. The penultimate round, I simply had no useful action come to mind.
Tarphrex the Magnificent
Welcome back!
Tarphrex the Magnificent
Are you waiting on me? I think Zenaida's attacked and Tarphrex is holding for this round...
Sherman Blake
After cultists' turn I think only Loth and (Robo-)Alain have acted.
Tarphrex the Magnificent

Sorry, I missed the flag that we were up again. Not hard to believe, I've been too busy to think straight lately.
Working on my post.
Sherman Blake
BTW, did we have any CLW wand for out-of-combat healing?
Sherman Blake
ok, let's use that to heal the team up a bit?
I also have some spells left, but don't know what else is awaiting us until we get a chance to rest.
BTW, any takers for the loot? The mithral shirt is better than my current armor, so I can take that if no one else wants it. But obviously the melee types in the party should have the priority for it.
Loth Dalveran
It would be a serious upgrade for me as well, giving me a +1 out the gate and upping my max dex bonus to +5 (which would become relevant if I ever get +1 on my ability score)
Truth be told, I would very much like to have it :D
Tarphrex the Magnificent
But is there an issue with size?
GM Sphen
But is there an issue with size?
Ding ding ding. Got it in one.
Paizo rarely includes loot for small sized PCs. Wondorous Items resize on their own, and I'll hand waive magical armor doing it as well. But non-magical armor would need to be resized with a Craft (Arms and Armor) check, or taken to an armor smith.| Sherman Blake |
All right, let's take the armor to a smith and ask for a price to get it resized.
Would the buckler be of use to Loth as well? +2ac (but -1 to off-hand attacks)
BTW, the loot sheet linked at the top of the page doesn't seem to work. Would that have been up-to-date anyway?
Loth Dalveran
Every so often, I forget that I'm small.
My current off-hand during a two-weapon attack is a decent +5 right now, anyway. I could use the buckler. If no-one else wants it, I'll take it, but I don't want to hog all the good loot so someone else can have it as well.
Tarphrex the Magnificent
Actually I am shocked to report that I do. I failed to ask for healing previously, apparently.
Sherman Blake
So i can get a count, who needs heals
o/
A couple of dabs from the wand, to bring me above 40hp would be fine.
The buckler would not bring any change to my AC - only change would be that I could also wield a weapon while casting spells (only relevant for providing flanking to others). So you can have the buckler if you'd like, Loth.
And we sell off the short sword?
I wonder if there's market for the masks :P

Churches to good Gods will often pay a bounty for evil items and unholy symbols. So will the Church of Abadar, but with them you'll need to explain how you obtained said items.
Loth Dalveran
I'm less than a quarter down, I could use just one hit from the wand.
If no one else is interested, I'll take the buckler as well :)
Tarphrex the Magnificent
None of the gear interests Tarphrex. He is just below 50% hp. Zenaida has some uses of fervor, as far as I know, that she could use before she strides off into the sunset if that's still the plan.
Alain Lawrence
Rolls are in the gameplay. Labeled for everyone. 11/50 charges. This should last us a few big combats with any luck

Yes, much appreciated.
Loth Dalveran
I will take the buckler then. If anyone else ends up interested in the chain shirt before we get it modified, just give a holler. Thanks for the heals!
Quinn Hadas
I have no need for the gear from them.what about the poison? It could come in handy if someone can reliably use it.
GM Sphen
I have reached out to Zenaida's player again. If they don't respond by the time you all leave the lumber mill (or close to it), plan is to have Zenaida leave the party.
Hopefully they agree to come back and we can just pretend they never left.
Tarphrex the Magnificent

I hope they believe that's an option. I certainly believe it is.
GM Sphen
@Alain: There is no cononical Temple to Shelyn in Magnimar. So what details are important to you to be included here?
What position of person do you think Alain would want to speak to about what is happening? Straight to the top? Access wouldn't be an issue.
Any other NPC's you think should be involved? So far, we've only seen Stalig, the oread warrior during your breakfast.
GM Sphen
Great news everyone. I've finally heard back from Zeniada's player and they have agreed to return to the game.

Kobold happy dance ensues!
Alain Lawrence
Oh good news then.
Also i apologize, I didn't know there wasnt a temple to Shelyn, just assumed. As for important detail, I'll need to think about it but Alains been around minute, Alain would probably call a full gathering of the churches top brass so to speak for this one.
I am a tiny bit of a lore field for dieties lol, most Shelynites are probably at least able to use the glaive, a rather martial weapon for a bunch that claim to be lovers not fighters. Apparently they can defend the art pretty damn well probably...
Stalig seems like a good point to use a character with here.
Loth Dalveran
Welcome back Zenaida! Thrilled to see you return!

No worries. If we want a temple for a character backstory, we get a temple. Just wanted you to have a chance to fill in any details that you (as a player) felt would be important.
GM Sphen
As to the glaives, the story of the how and why Shelyn favors a glaive is an interesting one. If you all don't know it, I suggest looking it up. It is sad, but important context.
As to defending the art, I will say this.
The Church of Shelyn in almost every city not only offers but encourages its parishoners to participate in the training and drills provided to learn how to properly use the glaive. But most of said parishoners only do so half-heartedly. There are those who can fight, like Stalig here, but most defense isn't going to be with a weapon.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Um. It's been a while.
I didn't mean to worry you guys. Honestly, I'm surprised you still want me, I had assumed that you replaced me and moved on. But since you apparently want me around, would someone be willing to give me a recap of what's happened in game? I'm taking graduate level spatial statistics this semester and things are ramping up with my term project. Not sure when I'll be able to get to reading through the backlog.
@GM Sphen: How are you doing hit points for leveling up again?
And, uh, if someone wanted to help me figure out how much gold I have, that would be AMAZING. I have no freaking clue.
Tarphrex the Magnificent
ZENAIDA!!! Of course we still want you!
Graduate level statistics - woof.
Wait, we have gold?
Welcome back!
Loth Dalveran
I understand it's hard to come back when you've been gone for a couple months, but to me, no matter how long it's been, I'm always happy to see a player return. We've already been through a bunch together, after all!
You didn't miss much! When you left, we were just about getting ready to tackle the mysterious sawmill, and we've just finished doing that. Much as could be expected, the thing had cultists in it, lead by a high judge called Justice Ironbriar. When we defeated him, before he died, he briefly seemed to come to his senses, as though he was possessed, and he left us with a hint: "Clock... Bridge...". We've now just arrived at Alain's temple to see if we can get some backup against the cultists. After all, if there's judges among their ranks, there's no telling who we can trust anymore.
Sherman Blake
Hey, welcome back!!
Loth got most of it, we just went through the sawmill, and had an encounter with Justice Ironbriar and his cultist mooks there, which took almost three months real time :)
As for the money, I don't think anyone is keeping track, nor we've had much lately. There's some loot from the Foxglove manor unsold I believe.
( I assume we're quite much under the standard wbl)
GM Sphen
We're discussing a lot about who to get help from.
I would like to know what (in general or exact) you want one or more of these organizations to help with.
Is it just clearing up the dead bodies?
