have fun storming the castle!

no pressure or anything ; )

Thumbnail- A privileged son of one of the Dock Families, Pitr was given the best military training in preparation for service as an officer in the Korvosan Guard. Instead, he turned down his commission to drink and whore in the low rent districts. Disowned by his family, Pitr hit bottom recently when his lover, an erotic dancer named Swan, died of a shiver overdose.

campaign trait: addicted friend

The party worked quite well in that Solaric could do the nice stuff whilst Victoria was more the Godfather type, never bloodying her own hands but pulling strings and getting things 'done' (usually having a direct hand in assassinations, but never the one with the knife) and as long as we kept the Paladin out of it (and Pitr in some cases) things got done like a Boss.

Get'r done!

now i feel misrepresented here. Pitr wasn't mercenary which may have been CV's problem with him, just a young dood with alot of 'tude.

he could be counted on to do the opposite of what Solaric wanted to do though : )

"Rest?! I'm not resting until I'm back to Karcau. I've got a date and it ain't with a bunch of stinking soldiers. Good luck guys, I've got miles to go yet." Pitr heads out.

I'm going to traveling and couchsurfing through the rest of the year so I'll just check out now. g'luck guys, It's been a good game : )

M Chelish Fighter

Pitr snickers, "There's only one thing I'm interested in investigating when we get back home." The young sword seems reinvigorated as you start back to Karcau.

Solaric wrote:

Feeling back to snuff, Pitr nods his thanks to Solaric. " I appreciate it, Solaric. I guess the gods are good for something, but I'll go ahead and put my faith in something even the gods answer to." He pulls out his Harrow deck and draws a card- the bear. "Fate. and all the strength I can bring to bear against adversity..." Pitr smiles.

" Shall we depart this afternoon, or do you prefer to wait until morning and get an early start?"

Pitr seems lost in his own thoughts (still drained a point of Wis) and answers tersely, "The sooner we get back to Karcau, the better as far as I'm concerned."

The ladies' man is unfortunately likely to settle down with the lovely Swan upon his return to Karcau.

Real life- I've got another move, holidays, and starting a new career as a middle school Science teacher coming up. I want to keep the 3 games I'm running going, but need to pare down my playing. Pitr has def been fun to run (nearly a year on this campaign!) and i thank ZZ and everyone for an enjoyable game.

M Chelish Fighter

Pitr collapses wearily into bed, but does not sleep well due to nightmares that he has turned into a pudding.

M Chelish Fighter

Pitr cracks a half smile at the ribald jests. "I hardly need your assistance, Countess unless you'd care to participate. I'm just thinking I'd rather be spending my time with a lovely girl instead of ... well whatever those things were that nearly made me Pile of Goo, jr. I don't know that even my charming personality could make up for looking like scrambled eggs."

M Chelish Fighter

Pitr is reticent and impatient to get back home.

M Chelish Fighter

"If Oleg was a typical example of treatments around here then I feel sorry for the poor bastards, but there's not much we can do. Let's just report back to the mayor and get the hells out of here. I've had about all of Carrion Hill that I can take."

M Chelish Fighter

Still looking slightly unhinged, Pitr just snickers as he stares at the mess. "Gods had nothing to do with that."

Round 5.
AC: 22, hp:17/61, blessed

Pitr laughs hysterically as his armor protects him from most of the nightmares attacks and keeps hacking at it.

power attack 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 9 + 1 = 29
damage 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23

threat attack 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 9 + 1 = 11
damage 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18

dammit, dicebot! you owe me! :(

M Chelish Fighter

Round 4.
AC: 22, hp:13/61, bless, ouchie!

The surging tide of unholy madness washes over Pitr, a fanged mouth clamping on the Taldan's throat as claws rip his flesh.
Pitr frantically fights back.

power attack 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 9 + 1 = 20
damage 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17

M Chelish Fighter

Round 3.
AC: 22, hp:58/61, bless, Fortune

Perhaps Countess' assistance has regrounded Pitr as he continues his attack more successfully against teh abomination.

power attack 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 9 + 1 = 24

damage 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23

M Chelish Fighter

i'm HEALED! but can you heal my mind... or the dicebot hate :P
Kirk-I doubt big and gooey is critable.

M Chelish Fighter

Round 2.
AC: 22, hp:33/61, bless, Fortune

power attack 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 9 + 1 = 13

Benefitting from Countess' spell, Pitr's flailing finally makes contact.
fortune power attack 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 9 + 1 = 25

damage 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19

M Chelish Fighter

Johenric goes before us and I'd hope we get a bit of glitterdust going on.

just wow. Pitr swings his sword like he's never held one before as he continues his unhinged cackling.

power attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
damage 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20

M Chelish Fighter

Pitr has managed to keep himself together physically, but you wonder about his mind as he whiteknuckles his sword and just giggles at Solaric's query.

M Chelish Fighter

round 5.
Pitr joins the Countess in cackling madly whilst he swings his sword wildly.

save #3 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18

power attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
damage 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18

M Chelish Fighter

not that Pitr is contributing much to combat :P, but i'll be travelling this week so posting may be spotty.

M Chelish Fighter

round 4.

save #2 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30

power attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
damage 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17

M Chelish Fighter

Not sure what just happened, but really freaked out, Pitr hacks at the creature with a wild look in his eyes.
round 3

power attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
damage 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22

M Chelish Fighter

self sacrifice is more Solaric's stick, but moving on. Round 3.not sure if I held onto my sword since I retained my form.

Fort save 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18

M Chelish Fighter

um OK, after I repeated twice that I wouldn't approach the chaos beast.

fort 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
fort 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
fort 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31

Pitr turns to pudding, but manages to pull himself together for the moment.
Will 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

M Chelish Fighter

Pitr wasn't interested in tangling with Blobbo. If there is room to squeeze in against Crove, i'm there, otherwise just saying I'd likely kill Crove more quickly than Solaric.

M Chelish Fighter

Round 2
Once the vile indescribable thing shows up, Pitr changes his tune.

"What are you doing, Solaric?! Kill the Demon! The Demon!"

I'm much better against human foes so i'll get crove or the orderlies if the door doesn't hold.

(power attack) 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
damage 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22

M Chelish Fighter
Solaric wrote:
"I was told that you were a very kind man. What that all a lie, Master Crove?"

"Right Solaric, go ahead and try and make the crazy cultist feel ashamed... just kill him!" that's a crit threat.

Pitr grabs a scrap of something to jam the door.
well, i do have an improvise equipment trait... go, go MacGyver

M Chelish Fighter
DM Zyren/ Heart of Light wrote:
So you've come to kill me, you ignorant bastards?

"Hmmm, not really persuading us not to kill him, is he?" Pitr mumbles then moves to bolt the door if possible behind them.

M Chelish Fighter

"Crazy Bastard.

weak spots on the portcullis, map?

M Chelish Fighter

Pitr tries to put it all together, "You found the book and Crove stole it and did this to you? Well, hells we're here to kill the bastard. Just tell us where he is."

M Chelish Fighter
Solaric wrote:
"Jendarne, what's that you are reading? Do you have some clues or insight into battling the Yog Sothoth?"

"Yeah, I'm sure you could learn somehing from it." Pitr hands Solaric the dirty booklet. "Why do't you lights out the lunatic, Countess? He's giving me a headache."

are we looking for the Pnak Manuscript?

M Chelish Fighter
Solaric wrote:
"Jendarne, do you want to try that flail once again on this door?"

"Nah, I'm sure Kirk can handle it." Pitr takes a look at the booklet on the table while Kirk works.

M Chelish Fighter

"Actually, these bars aren't looking particularly sound. Get back."
Pitr draws his spare flail and whacks at the bars.
power attack w/ flail 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
damage 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

M Chelish Fighter

Pitr stands back, "There's got to be an easier way than giving everyone a hernia. Kirk can't you jimmy this or somehow disable it? Pray for him, Solaric."
Pitr Know engineering 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Kirk Disable Device 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23

add +1 to each if Solaric throws down some guidance

M Chelish Fighter

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

not so much. 'S' is usually secret door. that's an odd map there.

M Chelish Fighter

take the door marked 'S' for Shoggoth?

M Chelish Fighter

To the Bat Cave!! G'bless Adam West.

M Chelish Fighter

Pitr follows shaking his head, "Well that went better than I expected. I have to admit Solaric, you can be pretty convincing. I guess it helps when we're dealing with half-wits."

M Chelish Fighter

I imagine they are guarding the door to the dungeon. The question is how to get past them without bringing an army of orderlies down on us. I wish that hypnotism, color spray and sleep were modified so they didn't become useless about 5th level...
maybe Countes could throw down a shoggoth illusion to chase them off? n'ermind. it's only silent image which wouldn't really cover it. iguess her feminine wiles are her strength although i do like the coughing up of the swarm ball. thoughts?

M Chelish Fighter

Pitr hangs back around the corner ready to attack if it comes to that.

M Chelish Fighter

room D17 looks to be the kitchen.

"Too bad we didn't get any directions."

M Chelish Fighter

Pitr enters, Savant in hand. "Charming..."

M Chelish Fighter
DM Zyren/ Heart of Light wrote:
That's it, the asylum, the most wrteched place in all of Carrion Hill!

"And that's saying alot, " Pitr notes. "Why not try the key we found on Myre. CHA might stand for Carrion Hill Asylum."

Pitr gives the key a try.

M Chelish Fighter
Johenric wrote:
His death will ensure that the Yog Sothoth will not increase his power. How do we cope with the current monsters power?

"Like this..." Pitr drives Savant into the man and turns to see the effect on the monster.

auto-crit 2d10 + 28 ⇒ (5, 7) + 28 = 40

M Chelish Fighter

Pitr weighs his sword against the wall of weirdness. "Is there any other way to hurt it?!"

M Chelish Fighter

Pitr looks for a manuscript as he follows toward the exit.

spot 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

"I still don't get why the thing would apparently be trying to kill him if killing him destroys it?"
