The party worked quite well in that Solaric could do the nice stuff whilst Victoria was more the Godfather type, never bloodying her own hands but pulling strings and getting things 'done' (usually having a direct hand in assassinations, but never the one with the knife) and as long as we kept the Paladin out of it (and Pitr in some cases) things got done like a Boss. Get'r done! now i feel misrepresented here. Pitr wasn't mercenary which may have been CV's problem with him, just a young dood with alot of 'tude. he could be counted on to do the opposite of what Solaric wanted to do though : )
"Rest?! I'm not resting until I'm back to Karcau. I've got a date and it ain't with a bunch of stinking soldiers. Good luck guys, I've got miles to go yet." Pitr heads out.
Pitr snickers, "There's only one thing I'm interested in investigating when we get back home." The young sword seems reinvigorated as you start back to Karcau.
"Blessed Inheritor, heal and restore this young warrior's strength and wisdom that he is typically known for. May it be so!" Feeling back to snuff, Pitr nods his thanks to Solaric. " I appreciate it, Solaric. I guess the gods are good for something, but I'll go ahead and put my faith in something even the gods answer to." He pulls out his Harrow deck and draws a card- the bear. "Fate. and all the strength I can bring to bear against adversity..." Pitr smiles.

" Shall we depart this afternoon, or do you prefer to wait until morning and get an early start?" Pitr seems lost in his own thoughts and answers tersely, "The sooner we get back to Karcau, the better as far as I'm concerned."
The ladies' man is unfortunately likely to settle down with the lovely Swan upon his return to Karcau. Real life- I've got another move, holidays, and starting a new career as a middle school Science teacher coming up. I want to keep the 3 games I'm running going, but need to pare down my playing. Pitr has def been fun to run (nearly a year on this campaign!) and i thank ZZ and everyone for an enjoyable game.
Pitr collapses wearily into bed, but does not sleep well due to nightmares that he has turned into a pudding.
Pitr cracks a half smile at the ribald jests. "I hardly need your assistance, Countess unless you'd care to participate. I'm just thinking I'd rather be spending my time with a lovely girl instead of ... well whatever those things were that nearly made me Pile of Goo, jr. I don't know that even my charming personality could make up for looking like scrambled eggs."
Pitr is reticent and impatient to get back home.
"If Oleg was a typical example of treatments around here then I feel sorry for the poor bastards, but there's not much we can do. Let's just report back to the mayor and get the hells out of here. I've had about all of Carrion Hill that I can take."
Still looking slightly unhinged, Pitr just snickers as he stares at the mess. "Gods had nothing to do with that."
Pitr laughs hysterically as his armor protects him from most of the nightmares attacks and keeps hacking at it. power attack

The surging tide of unholy madness washes over Pitr, a fanged mouth clamping on the Taldan's throat as claws rip his flesh.

Perhaps Countess' assistance has regrounded Pitr as he continues his attack more successfully against teh abomination. power attack damage

Pitr has managed to keep himself together physically, but you wonder about his mind as he whiteknuckles his sword and just giggles at Solaric's query.

Not sure what just happened, but really freaked out, Pitr hacks at the creature with a wild look in his eyes.

Pitr turns to pudding, but manages to pull himself together for the moment.
"What are you doing, Solaric?! Kill the Demon! The Demon!"

"I was told that you were a very kind man. What that all a lie, Master Crove?" "Right Solaric, go ahead and try and make the crazy cultist feel ashamed... just kill him!" Pitr grabs a scrap of something to jam the door.
So you've come to kill me, you ignorant bastards? "Hmmm, not really persuading us not to kill him, is he?" Pitr mumbles then moves to bolt the door if possible behind them.
"Crazy Bastard.
Pitr tries to put it all together, "You found the book and Crove stole it and did this to you? Well, hells we're here to kill the bastard. Just tell us where he is."
"Jendarne, what's that you are reading? Do you have some clues or insight into battling the Yog Sothoth?" "Yeah, I'm sure you could learn somehing from it." Pitr hands Solaric the dirty booklet. "Why do't you lights out the lunatic, Countess? He's giving me a headache."
"Jendarne, do you want to try that flail once again on this door?" "Nah, I'm sure Kirk can handle it." Pitr takes a look at the booklet on the table while Kirk works.
"Actually, these bars aren't looking particularly sound. Get back."
Pitr stands back, "There's got to be an easier way than giving everyone a hernia. Kirk can't you jimmy this or somehow disable it? Pray for him, Solaric."

Pitr follows shaking his head, "Well that went better than I expected. I have to admit Solaric, you can be pretty convincing. I guess it helps when we're dealing with half-wits."
Pitr hangs back around the corner ready to attack if it comes to that.
"Too bad we didn't get any directions."
Pitr enters, Savant in hand. "Charming..."
That's it, the asylum, the most wrteched place in all of Carrion Hill! "And that's saying alot, " Pitr notes. "Why not try the key we found on Myre. CHA might stand for Carrion Hill Asylum." Pitr gives the key a try.
His death will ensure that the Yog Sothoth will not increase his power. How do we cope with the current monsters power? "Like this..." Pitr drives Savant into the man and turns to see the effect on the monster. auto-crit
Pitr weighs his sword against the wall of weirdness. "Is there any other way to hurt it?!"
Pitr looks for a manuscript as he follows toward the exit. spot "I still don't get why the thing would apparently be trying to kill him if killing him destroys it?"
