"As far as I can tell, the door is not trapped but it is locked." If I were fleeing, I would want a locked door between me and my pursuers.She will take a look at the areas that concern Mort and Tynan.
"Even if Kendra went into the pool, I don't know if we could retrieve her." I an only hold my breath for so long. Locked doors seem like a much safer obstacle to overcome.

"The north door is unlocked. And there doesn't appear to be any danger. But it's more likely any who fled is behind a locked door, right?" She will move over to the west door and take a look, slipping the goggles down over her eyes. Her plan is to unlock without opening (and hopefully without notice), trying to give the group the option of the north or west door...

Seeing Sol press against the left door to try and brace it, the halfling lends her little weight to the right side. As the doors rumble, she looks around, seeing who is ready in case the beast bursts through. "Ummm, if we move back to that southern hall and close the door, if it breaks down these doors, it might go charging into the arena." That was the plan, right? Spotting Sol's leg, she nods to the door behind them. The arena. That must be where Mort and Rae are, right?

Pillette moves to the chest and begins to examine it, when Tynan issues his warning and hands the key to Mort. If the halfling can peer around the big guy, she'll look at the lock in an attempt to quickly spot any danger before Mort uses the key or his strength to open it. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 (+1 more for trapfinding) Hearing the urgency of the others, she'll not leave Mort behind. If he is able to quickly open the chest she'll take a glance at whatever contents are immediately visible. Pillette will examine the stone, slipping the goggles down over her eyes. Taking a bit of care, she searches for potential danger and how it operates while trying not to trigger it. She's not likely to be pleased with any of us, as we slew her half-breed mate, or with me, as I skewered her with a bolt.

Three taps would bring her to full. "I think information underestimated just how vile and dangerous these folks are." Worse than Smenk's suspicions. "We could always call in the Inquisition, but all who care about the good order and health of the land might be grateful to those who rid the land of such villainy." And having the gratitude of those in power is useful, if properly leveraged.

"The Imperial Inquisition of Asmodeus would certainly consider this triad to be a danger to the good health of the people. Those unholy ones would support abominations of the worst kind." Even worse than the couplings that result in Tieflings.

She'll look back, waiting for the "get the evil cultists" crowd to move forward in position before she starts to work on the lock, or to see if they will wave her off.
