Not that bad compared to casters, druids, and oracles ...
the combination with the free-style fighter is probably the simplest and most diverse.

Forester is basically a Ranger/Cavalier combo.
Don't forget to pick up Planar Focus. Lots of utility for a single feat.
I wonder if anyone has ever built a build for this archetype?

Really, in PF1 there are several classes that can and do take the front lines who don't have full BAB: Oracle, Alchemist, and Magus to name just a few. They play completely differently than a fighter, something that I suspect will persist in PF2.
It is a good thing to allow more than one class to fulfill a particular role in the game via different methods. Yes, but now everyone has the same full BAB.

For discussion it is necessary to take into account, as far as I understand that the attack bonus for all classes is the same, therefore the mutagen is moved to the 5 level. Otherwise it would not be at all fair.
And making a warrior from an alchemist is still a wrong idea, otherwise why a fighter?
If I understand correctly, then the fighter can now learn how to create potions?

Tarik Blackhands wrote: PhD. Okkam wrote: Living Grimoire Inquisitor ( You take that back! Any archtype that lets me actually be Lord Mozgus is at least a 5/10.
Okay, Living Grimoire is basically a series of side grades and moderate downgrades, but it doesn't deserve to be put anywhere near the same level as stuff like Siege Mage, Brute, and Cardinal.
For my contribution though, I'll throw the Soul Forger Magus to the pile. Sure it doesn't actively make you attempt to murder your friends, but geez are the trades rubbish. Lose a level of spells and spell recall for a bonded item and some rubbish abilities to make mundane items cheaper or add hardness+hp to your own stuff temporarily. Whoop-de-frickin-do. But it is almost all weaker than other archetypes of the inquisitor. And not much stronger in skills. -(

Wouldn't it be better to compare it to the Hunter's Feral Hunter archetype, rather than the base Hunter? Base Hunter's aspects seem a very unfair comparison, given how many ways it can actually be used.
A problem with the archetype is that its not better than going old yeller. If you're not going to have an animal companion at all via shooting it in the head and leaving it dead, not having the animal companion to begin with is logically better. Feral Hunter also makes it a better comparison to Shifter, as has been mentioned before, as it then would be doing the same sort of thing(s). Feral hunters do not have full BAB, and there are no ways to increase the attack.
