Half-Elf Ardent 9
![]() A sense of unease fills the room. For the first time on this adventure, Otto looks afraid. Not angry, not annoyed, just... afraid. "We probably should take that with us. Should be useful, at least." He steps closer to the amulet, staring at it as it stares at him. "Probably should take the robes too. Always handy, being able to pose as a cultist..." He trails off as he kneels down and picks up the amulet. Anyone else want it, or can I take the creepy amulet I recognize from my nightmares back in the first post? ![]()

Oh, but my melee basic attacks suck if I'm not using Eldritch Strike... Here you go: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 211d10 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 ![]()

![]() "I've just about had it with these damn eyeballs..." Otto walks up to the eyes and swings at one with a great overhead chop. I assume they're within 10 feet of the ground. Demorilizing Strike against it, 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 damage. (I assume there's no way I'd miss it because it's, you know, a ball sticking out of the wall.) ![]()

Otherwise he can lie convincingly to it, talk to it really nicely, and possibly check it for magical or religious significance. We're a very non-dexterous party. You mean +20, since you're within 5 squares of me. But yeah, this party is uniquely unsuited for opening doors. No one trained in Thievery, no one trained in Athletics, two party members who specialize almost entirely in social skills. Really, I have no idea if we're able to actually get past this thing. ![]()
Half-Elf Ardent 9
![]() Uh, just checking, does anyone here actually have training in Thievery? I've got +8 thanks to Bard of All Trades, but that's still not great. EDIT: Yep, only one with training in Thievery "Alright, everyone. Out of the way. Might be able to disable this stuff." Otto forces his way through and begins fiddling with the lock. It would probably be faster to ignore the traps and just pick the lock. I just hope we're using the Heroic Tier DC and not the Paragon Tier DC. 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11 ![]()

![]() "Shae, get back!" Shaerynn stumbles back even as she is oddly inspired by Otto's words. "So, these ghoulies won't be feeling fear until you're dead, huh? We're going to have to fix that!" Otto sends his halbred crashing down onto the eidolon, and a certain gravity seems to fill the air around him. Minor, use Majestic Word on Shaerynn(1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 extra healing and slide one square up and to the right), then use Empowered Arsenal(creates a zone 1 around me, all allies in zone gain +4 damage and ignore insubstantial). You did say the eidolon was insubstantial earlier, right? 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 332d10 + 7 ⇒ (6, 5) + 7 = 181d20 ⇒ 5 ![]()

![]() "Damn it, I'll hold these things off! You two just get out here as fast as you can!"
