Making a command decision, Nyx casts Lesser Restoration on Akku for points: 1d4 ⇒ 4 points and Restoration on Leon, restoring all his lost strength. I can do no more without rest. he explains.

Only one chance to roll SR per spell so no chance other bolts will bypass the SR.

Nyxis double moves further around the pillar and towards the central opening. Not sure anyone is wounded at the moment

I am reading every day multiple times a day but somehow missed that the dragon had acted. Sorry for my delay.

Perhaps we should move towards cover so the dragon cannot attack us from above? Nyx recommends. As he begins to act Farrar And anyone else who is woulded 5 or more hp, but let me know please heals 5 health as the life link between Nyx and his fellows activates.

He uses his previously cast Call Lightning Storm to strike the dragon with a bolt and the retreats further behind the pillar.

I have no way to remove blindness and restoring strength takes multiple round.

Nyx moves to the right to gain a view of the area he was hearing giants and casts Wall of Ice to slow them down. The wall will be 20' high and double thickness for 60 hp per 5' square. Focus on that dragon. he encourages the group.

Giants coming from there - maybe 6 or them. Nyx manages before the dragon breaths.

Moving with his shocking spheres, Nyx casts Detect Magic and examines the area within range of the spell. Where is everyone? What happened to all the troops outside on the wall? It's almost like the wanted us to get inside.

Healing - I think Leon and Nyx are the only two wounded. I might need to know if Lean makes his two reflex saves to know how badly the death throws hurt him. Nyx will channel once, using a lesser channel to heal them both. And use a Wand of cure Light to finish any needed healing.

Hmm. That should be ennough to have everyone full even if Leon fails his saves.

Just before Advancing Nyx will use his Shell of Succor 10 minutes duration on Akku, Galadhan, and Leon.

Nyx has the fly hex so he can easily get up to the winch. Not sure he has the strength to operate the winch but he can drop a knotted rope if not. He will heal all damage before they proceed and detect magic on all loot.

At the start of Nyx's turn he calls down a bolt of lightning to strike at the left guard. He then moves the two shocking spheres up onto the left guard and 5' steps forward.

Ball Lightning: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 6) = 14 Reflex DC is 20+4 for their metal armor for a total of 24.

Ball Lightning: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 3) = 11 Reflex DC is 20+4 for their metal armor for a total of 24.

Call Lightning Storm: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 6, 5, 6) = 23 Reflex DC 21.

Coming out of delay Nyx begins to cast Call Lightning Storm and moves his Ball Lightnings towards the left giant.

Nyx could burrow, but that olly helps him. And since that was not decided on he did not take that spell. He can still stone shape, which might or might not help. Unsure if someone else had passwall. It's a very high level spell.

Nyx cases Ball Lightning on the Owb and stays where he is.

nyx would have cast Greater False Life (9 hours) and Magic Circle vs evil (90 minutes) on himself before entering. He would also cast Barkskin (90 minutes, +4 to Natural Armor on himself and anyone with a second level pearl of power. He will extend up to three of these - If he casts more than 3 he will not extend his own.

I can get spells like a cleric. It is true that I do not have them currently memorized. A thought I had after posting the idea of stone shaping a way in is that Nyx would likely not have the specif knowledge of the fortress to be able to choose the right spot to tunnel. So unless the party actually that detailed layout I'd say that option is off the table.

Nyx tries his best to resist the corruption as he would have had no way to know it was not resistible. In the end he is able to resist only 10 minutes, despite his strong will.

While you are doing the chronicles I'll take one as well. I hope I get too apply it. Seems like there is less and less first edition PFS opportunities these days.

Working on not failing saving throws (again) Nyx upgrades his cloak of resistance to +3 and buys a belt of Dex +2, That leaves him exactly 3k that he will use to buy a lesser metamagic rod of extend. Note that these things are so handy we could use two of them...

If you do sell it back I can give you the full wand of Cure Serious. I have the wand of Cure Light, a handful of healing spells, and a dozen channels.

Would make you an awesome debuffer, and I believe you could arcane strike with it. BUT a DC17 to resist the damage/drain is pretty low for the foes we will face.

Looking more closely at that staff, Nyx has the healing covered. I'd need to drop a level 3 spell and grab Remove Blindness for us to be fully covered but everything else is covered in spaces. So, if our GM is ok I recommend selling, or not buying the staff. I was sorta remembering that we found it. no?

I recommend we sell the rod and use some of the proceeds to buy the lesser metamagic rod of extend.

Other than finalizing shopping Nyx has bee n update.

I'll assume Nyx also gets the mentioned manifestation even though he had no corruption so far. Is that correct? And if so does he also get a level or corruption? Not sure how that works.

GM Mauve, we are still waiting for you to identify that rod so we can finalize the loot list and our shopping.

Nyx is going to buy the dex item since he does not need extended spells hiimself. If someone else can get the rod or if the party wants to chip in and get the rod I am good with that and can use it to extend barkskins.

I can get a Lesser Metamagic Rod of Extend for the Barkskins.

Would not mind getting a belt of dexterity as that helps skills, and saves, and AC and range to hit. If there are party funds for the lesser rod then I can still get my belt. :)

Nyx can cast the Barkskin. A lvl 2 pearl would ensure the availability. He has no way to extend it at the moment so the rod would be great.

Nyx gains +1 to will saves, already his best save, but important vs things like confusion.

His BAB increases by 1 and he gains too few skill points, which will go mostly into Perception and Diplomacy, while keeping his Sense Motive maxed.

He gains a 4th and 5th level spell, but has to wait a level to learn 6th level spells. He will likely start carrying and using Greater False Life after his brush with death in the last fight.

And he gains Countering Hex that lets him ready and use Dispel Magic once a day for each opponent he faces. This might be a good standard tactic for his first round of combat.

I fear I will need a reminder on how the loot sheet works and what funds are available to Nyx for upgrades. Nyx is not trained in Spellcraft and so cannot help identify the rod.

Poor girl. Only the gods and that drider know what she has been through. Nyx will heal her wounds and then use a Lesser Restoration which can restore ability damage and will remove fatigue. We are here to help. he says. You are among friends and your tormentor is dead.

Lesser Restoration, if ability damage has been done.: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Heal Check: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23

Nyx has a full Restoration ready if that is needed.

Note that Nyx has the fly hex and is currently levitating so getting out and replacing a rope should be trivial.

Nyx currently does not have any corruption, that he or I know of...

Have to say that the confusion was rough - very effective for the enemy in taking 60% of the team out. And just bad luck that Nyx failed it at +14 will.

Was the drider immune to sleep?

Nyx casts Slumber on either Leon He is currently closer to Nyx but I am not sure that counts his moving away from his dropped weapon or Farrar. Ether way DC 20 will save.

Was on me so Nyx will attack. I'd think that attacking an object on my person would also be an attack. Trying to disarm an enemy certainly is. and I think a steal or sunder maneuver also is. I have seen a many material component pouches sundered. lol
