When the Sentinels Escaped From Hades, Gallowglass waved goodbye and quickly disappeared. It was SOOOOO good to see everyone again, and to wear my costume again, but I've got to double-down on my undercover work at Infini-Corp...right?!? She told herself that night, as she brushed her teeth that is was for the best. And that the Sentinals have powerhouses like Psyche and Praetoria, they don't need a girl with a bow anyway. Then in the morning she woke with a gasp, and shook her head. Now, at Sentinels HQ The doorbell rings, and in comes Ness and Bear. "Uh, hey guys. I...it was great to get to work alongside you yesterday. "I've been thinking how the best thing I can do for us is to stay in deep cover with InfiniCorp--and obviously you all are just fine without me--but I...well I can't get the bug out of my head so... Hey gang, it was great fun to have a cameo return...so fun that I want to return! I know I'll still fall behind at times, but I think the pace of the game seems to have slowed a bit, and I just had a big game end...so I want to give this amazing game another go!! Re Moments of Truth...they're so different from any mechanic you'd find in Pathfinder (or most RPGs I've played) that I can see why it would feel weird...but I have to say I love it. There's a knock, and the security camera reveal Gallowglass standing at the door (and Bear at her side). Slipping in, she says, "Hi, good to see you! Is Praetoria really missing?? I watched the whole alien fight on Youtube. Do you have any idea where she is now? I've been trying not to break cover at InfiniCorp, but I felt like I had to, with all of this going on...plus I think I might've learned something useful. "See, I've tracked down a lot of strange orders through various shell corporations, that have all been diverted to a residential high rise called the Taenarum. It's an old, pre-1950s building that's had a lot of renovations over the years (due to the various super powered fights that inevitably have occurred around it). It's been vacant for years & has changed hands over and over again. It's an old greco-roman style of art and architecture. "As I dug into the records, I see that the strange orders and renovations have almost always come from InfiniCorp subsidiaries, and...well there's been a flurry of activity since Praetoria has gone missing. I don't know if it means anything...but if it could help to get her back...well, I had to risk coming by again!!"

Hey gang, with great sadness, I'm going to have to leave this campaign. I'm bummed because this is an AWESOME game...but it's just not one I'm able to keep up with. I'm just finding I can never catch up for more than a few hours. I think it's the combo of how RP-rich it is (which is cool) and that we have an 8-player party with lots of great activity (which is rare, and awesome). The combo of them though means I can't imagine keeping up. It's especially true because Gallowglass is someone who, really, should be in the thick of the downtime conversations: she's gregarious, a good listener, meant to be some of the social glue. Instead she's turning out to mostly hide in her room (or sit quietly in the corner) since I can't keep up. :( NOTE, you all (Stalwart as DM and the rest of yall as players) have been great with me: I've never felt external pressure, and in fact several of you've tried ways to work me in later...but I think that my level of involvement in this game just won't be satisfying. So...WHAT'S NEXT? Once we decide what's next for her, I'm happy to help RP the transition. I've been thinking about this. Some options: a) She gets an offer to partner up with an established hero she's really into, and so continues to be a hero in Halcyon City...but as an NPC, and not as a Sentinel. b) She gets killed in the line of duty (hopefully while making a successful dramatic sacrifice). This gives a darker RP opportunity to the party. I'd rather not have her decide she's not up for it and retire on her own...that's just not who she is. Thoughts? Other suggestions?

Sigh. I'm not dead, and I think this campaign is full of some amazing energy. To be honest, the energy both makes me want to make this work..and makes me wonder if I'll ever be able to keep up with it. (I've been a bit slow to keep up in my other games...but this one's turning out to be significantly harder than the others because there's always sooooo much more to catch up on.) ;-) I'm going to keep trying for now since I'm still excited...but I'm not sure if I can match this group's amazing pace...and Ness isn't really supposed to be someone who just disappears (or fails to interract) for long stretches. Gallowglass looks at the ghost ship and wonders, What could *I* do that could affect THAT? She doesn't have long to ponder it though as she sees Mattie is still confused and is now running off. She and Bear leap over a weathered wooden gate to cut her off. Gallowglass wraps puts a hand on each of Mattie's shoulders and says, "Mattie, stop, breathe, take a look around. As her teammates argued, Ness found herself torn. Finally she realized what she wanted to say. There's so much potential in all of us, no matter what! And it sure has happened before--just think of how Darkblade turned herself around, and all the good she does nowadays! There were a few years where he seemed to truly be redeemed, after his life of crime...and then one day he must have snapped, or reverted, or something. He murdered his partner, his family, and most of an elementary school before Captain Stalwart got there. "Anyway...what I'm really trying to say is that you have my 100% promise to treat her with respect, and to be open to her changing...but I hope you'll be a little bit cautious too. Does that make sense? I'll be open to her redemption...and you be cautious enough to acknowledge the possibility that she may not be all the way there, until she's really proven it beyond a doubt. Gallowglass's eyes go wide as Airfoil's grenade comes rolling toward her. She sighs visibly when Isaiah intercepts it...and looks around to consider how she can best help. Realizing Praetoria has got Attraction off guard--and not wanting to let it go to waste--she shoots a concussion arrow, aiming right for her back as she rolls to a stop on the floor.
