I don't really want to hurt him yet. Hopefully everyone else will get into a position where we don't have to kill this elf. He looks as if he's suffered more from this place then me. Nari looks around at her companions.

Nari looks at herself worried, checking her arms and legs, before breathing out in relief. "Oh thank the goddess. for a second there I though I had turned into a beetle or something. Wouldn't put it past this place."

"And hey! That's not a very nice thing to say!" Cast Hypnotism on him. DC 15. He may get +2 due to "If you use this spell in combat, each target gains a +2 bonus on its saving throw" but not sure how that works on first round of combat."

"Why are you so angry with us? Who betrayed you? Please don't eat me." Nari yells back at the elf.

During the maze

I've got this, this place doesn't look to bad Nari only slightly feels her foot depress before a whosh beside her draws her attention.

"OH DEAR GODDESS!" She yells as she realizes that a trip was just triggered, she stands transfixed at the arrow now wavering in her side, the blood starting to stain her outfit.

Nari at 6/14 health

she reaches for the arrow and pulls out the smooth tip from her side. Well this can't be good.

In a daze she reaches to the wand in her pouch, wobbly legs barely holding her upright.

"...I'm normally a nice person, but these pathfinder captains have something else coming to them."

Nari is extremely careful from this time on in leading the party. Once her portion is done she breathes a sigh of relief and lets Omorose take over.

All seems to be good, until Nari once again hears the distinct click of a trap. Oh no whats going to happen to Omorose?

Reaching for her wand assuming the worse, Nari feels the floor fall out from beneath her.

"Really?" she cries as she plummets into the pit. Please have nothing down there, please have nothing down there. Oh goddess the floor is pointy!

The party hears sobbing come from within the pit as Nari lies crumpled on the pit floor, a spike protruding nastily from her side.

"I'm done. Let's go home." She wails as she slowly tries to lift herself off the spike. Timid scrambles from Nari's pack, his body bruised and broken, trying valiantly to help his mistress off the spike.

Timid at 2/7 HP after fall. Nari at 2/14 HP.

Finally able to extricate herself from the spike impaling her Nari reaches for her wand again.

She reaches up letting her companions help her out of the pit. For the remainder of the trip Nari walks gripping Vander, tears periodically forming in her eyes, petrified every step is about to kill her.

Nari likely wouldn't succumb to the mental taxation, but with knowledge(arcana)+9 hopefully she wouldn't need to... Percepetion and dungeoneering are not her strong suit however, going to be for better as an aid roll in those ones.

Just so we can get the postings correct, perhaps we let our ranger start (seeing as you should have the best tracking skills of us all (perhaps use dungeoneering so +7)) let him go till he fails, then I'll take over, Random's guiding hopefully giving me sufficient time to understand how the maze works (so arcana at +9), then Omorose can try and use perception as we get nearer to detect the cologne (should be stronger as we get nearer, at +7), and lastly Vander can use his abilities to get there if we haven't passed by the point (don't have character sheet to see what your skills are :)).

"it's getting closer!" Nari screams, shifting to hide behind Vander.

Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 I'm aware this likely doesn't count as finding cover or concelment so stealth may not be usable, but Nari is trying her damnedest to hide behind him.

She quietly reloads her crossbow, careful to not make the beetle aware of her intentions lest it try to touch her.

She then lifts her crossbow above her head and fires wildly in the direction of the beetle from behind Vander.

not sure that I can use stealth like I did so feel suspect for my second dice roll to be a crit. Unless EndlessForms thinks my use of stealth is appropriate use the above stealth roll for my to hit. (so a roll of 7).

ya, I actually really like how its being played was just looking at your insight as someone who has played with it. Problem I see is someone trying to abuse it cause of the quirks of PbP. i.e. changing a pivot roll from an enemy that has an abnormally high to hit modifier.

So I've been taking a look at how Misfortune from being a dual-cursed oracle works (cause the power is wickedly powerful, even with the reprecussion of having to take another curse) and have determined it is wildly more powerful in PbP than in a regular table-top game. I can't figure out a way to follow the RAW for it in a PbP without the GM having to alter his post and roll style.

Misfortune (Ex): At 1st level, as an immediate action, you can force a creature within 30 feet to reroll any one d20 roll that it has just made before the results of the roll are revealed. The creature must take the result of the reroll, even if it’s worse than the original roll. Once a creature has suffered from your misfortune, it cannot be the target of this revelation again for 1 day.

The highlighted part is the key. Just cannot figure out a way for it to be used defensively and to not know what is the required roll for things like will saves, etc. without the GM never telling the Save DCs and just telling the group whether you passed or failed, which then leads to worse RPing as we can't explain the reprecussions of our failed saves, etc. without a post from the GM.

Even offensively it would require the GM to alter his roll style...As every roll using the dice rollers has the modifiers visible so its immediately obvious whether something hits or not. In table top game for example. GM rolls a 15, I have AC 18. at level 1 I may not cast misfortune and just rely on the monster having less then +3 to hit, but in PbP I don't have to make that guess as its easy to see the modifiers attached to the dice roll so if I see the GM roll a 1d20+4 and roll a 15, misfortune become an obvious choice to use.

Just find it an interesting ability, that in order to work as written forces the GM to totally change their post style, or let it become much more powerful than it should be. I was looking at GMing a PFS module in the future and was just curious if anyone has any suggestion on how to deal with it if I see it, cause though I love when it works in our favour here, it's definitely an overpowered ability to get at level 1...

Any objections if I assume that prior to combat I burned another charge from my wand of mage armor. Definitely would have done so prior to entering the clearing. Would have done it like right when we left town.

"That was far more work then I thought, and getting lost in the dark sounds horrible. Woods in the dark are just creepy." Nari croaks, her throat sore from incessant giggling.

"Is there perhaps a place we could rest for the night? Go find the nymph queen in the morning? Not sure I'm willing to deal with a nymph queen right now." Nari comments looking down and noticing the dirt and stains covering her from the prior encounters that day.

If I'm going to visit a queen, and a nymph queen no less, I'm going to need some time to make myself presentable.

With her attempts at help finished Nari looks over at Laurel favorably. Lost in her own thoughts she begins giggling uncontrollably.

Trying to cure a super rare disease with weeds from around the garden, we're clearly insane.

Nari will cast Fortune upon Laurel prior to his next attempt. She extends it with Cackle until he is ready to make the attempt.

Seeing that success of the first plants she found, Nari dashes out of the house. "Perhaps I can find some more!"

"I think I recognized some of these plants on the way here." Nari exclaims excitedly. She heads outside picking a couple of the seemingly random herbs around the shop.

"If I'm going to have to keep fighting nasty things, I'm going to get something pretty out of it." She exclaims.
