igni shrugs. "alright." he pauses, a moment. "running after me, though? I was walking. Not even that fast. How much time did you need to say what you were saying? ... I suppose a lot longer, now that this conversation has drawn on." he pauses, another moment. "doesn't matter, I'm sure your sick of my presence."

Morrivan sighed again. "I'm short. It takes a lot more steps for me compared to you....you know what? Never mind. This isn't even important. I'm just going to go eat now. I get lectured when I skip meals," she said in a tired voice, shaking her head at the ridiculousness of this whole conversation.

"... Alright. And you're keeping me here why?"
She released the water whip's hold on his arm and drew the water back into her canteen. "You have an annoying habit of walking off mid-conversation. It's the only way to be sure you hear what's being said to you."
"Instead of pysically grabbing me, did you consider walking after me? It's not like I was sprinting away. I had assumed the conversation was over."

Morrivan gave a frustrated sigh. "Sorry, your lordship," she said with heavy sarcasm " but no, I'm not gonna go running after you like a servant just because you can't be bothered to listen to someone who isn't you."

and he just... Starts to walk away.

Morrivan let the water stretch out for her, turning it into a water whip, warming it as she did so. She didn't want to hurt him. At the moment. The water whip wrapped around his arm, holding him back for a moment, letting go almost immediately. "Thanks," she said simply. "This isn't a truce or anything. But it's a really cool item. You did a good job making it. So this is just me acknowledging that."

Sometimes he would go through crazy risks to help and other times he was totally emotionless, and for the same person too. She didn't trust his mood swings.

"It shouldn't really be hard to use. Just foucs your waterbending through it. You may want to set it in something so you don't have to hold it."

igni holds up his metal covered hand, showing a red crystalline structure in the back of it, about half the size of the back of his hand. Lines of fire run down his sleeves, lining ki paths down his arm to his gem, before he turns up his hand and produces a small flame. "like that."

it's a 2*masterwork catalyst, giving a +4 to waterbending checks when used.

Morrivan looked herself up and down for a moment. Her current outfit didn't really have a lot of places where she could fasten a crystal. She shrugged and tucked it into her bun. It was the only place that worked. She uncorked the canteen she always carried with her and drew the water out slowly, holding it in front of her as she sized up the hallway. "Okay, stay very still. I don't want to mess up my aim and hit you. The thing I have trouble with is ice. It doesn't come very naturally when you've grown up in the tropics. I've been working with Dom to learn how to do it. So that's the real test," she said, double checking that the hallway was clear before sending the water down it rapidly, transforming it into icicles as it went, that smashed into a wall. "Hey, that worked!" she said, pleased, drawing the icy water back to her. "Still a little wobbly on the transformation, but definitely better than what I was doing before."

igni catches the crystal, and offer it to morrivan in an open plam. "I made a tool. It's a waterbending catalyst. Figured you should have it, because you resulted in me researching more into the topic and learning new forms, along with new ways to Creat catalysts." igni's eyes- igni's iris's seem animated, flickering and wavering like flame. He carries himself with no uncertainty at all, anymore, and a large degree of conviction. He doesn't have a hint of sarcasm in his voice, and quite possibly a bit of gratitude, filtered through some odd process in his head. "don't get me wrong. This isn't making up. Nor is it admission of some sort of guilt. It's simply something I feel obliged to do in return for what your actions resulted in."

igni, at some point, has walked up next to the door of morrigan, and is leaning on the wall, holding a strange blue crystalline structure. His left hand is covered in what seems to be some sort of metal, but what it is likely not exactly clear. His right hand is occupied by flipping and catching the crystal like a coin, waiting with likely unnerving patience for morrigan to leave her room.

After Melody left, Morrivan flopped back onto her bed and sighed. She considered going back to sleep, but her stomach growled. She sighed. She got up and threw on a clean t-shirt and sweats and ran a brush through her hair before pulling it up into a messy bun. Then she ventured out to get some food. And nearly ran straight into Igni. "Agh!" she sputtered. "Geez, what's with the lurking, Igni?"

Dangit! Sorry, Morrivan's post got lost in the cavalcade of posts.

"Is this the dormitory of Melody Waverider?" Djalos asks stiffly, looking past Morrivan's shoulder. His thumb brushes the simple iron band around his wrist, and Morrivan almost feels like a light breeze flows through and past her into the room.

"Uh, yeah. Hang on." She leaned back and called out, "Mel! Someone to see you! Dunno who it is. He's got some kind of blindfold on."

Stops when she hears a knock on the door. "I'll get it," she said, pulling open the door to see a person she didn't recognize.
Djalos sees a dark skinned girl with messy long black hair and still wearing pajamas standing in front of him. "Uh...hey," she says. "Can I help you?"

Mel lowers her guard, I think your right, My ship kind of does the same thing

I mean Susan's ship. not mine but I wish I had one though

"Well, nobody knows how this school was made. Maybe it's similar to Susan's ship. All I know is that it seems to have a mind of its own and thankfully it's nice and wants us to be happy," she said with a shrug. "Ugh. Mel barely regained her balance after she hit Morrivan when the counter-hit came, causing mel to stumble back almost falling over. she quickly grabs a stuffed teddy bear that happened to be within reach, holding it up as a shield.

"Oh, no fair!" Morrivan protested. "Ginni will kill me if I mess up her bear....hey, wait," she said in confusion as she finally looked around at the much bigger room with lots more beds than it used to have. "What happened to the room? When I went to sleep I was alone, and I only had one roommate. There's like six beds in here now."

Ehos did invite Anahita already. But obviously that was before she was moved into the background. She may have changed her mind. I don't have any real reason for Sil not to go, except that it might be met with even more hostility than just Jaiye. On account of the whole elf-lycan war and all. Sorry it took me awhile to respond to this, unsure how Sil would react

The young shaman takes a few moments to think, before responding. "Hmm. I too am at a loss. I'm going to guess she has no family, and I do not think she should leave the school. At least not any time remotely soon. Is there any sort of special day care we could put her in? Those of us who have watched over her this week can't continue to do so regularly." His tone is practical, as they all have lives, and classes to attend to, and clearly they can not keep babysitting Cho.

"They're setting up a daycare, but they don't actually have one yet," Morrivan said. "At least that's what I've picked up. Raelle's sister mentioned something like that. But I think it was intended for really little kids. This girl isn't so little."

Sil shrugs "You don't have to be sorry. There's nothing wrong with not liking him. You can't be friends with everyone."

She snorted. "Well, that's true. It just seems like lately the list of people I can't be friends with is growing. I'm...not in the best place these days," she said with a shrug, her expression going flat.

"The likely reason? Bitterness. Remenants of the old, broken system. People who still hate people who aren't "purebloods", or are different from the standard acceptable "firebird" mold."
igni avoids commenting on the "idiot" part, putting his hands behind his back to hide the shaking.

"That's one possible reason," Morrivan said, hands on her hips. "But it ignores some other possibilities. I may not be a firebird, but I have noticed that Raelle's dad is kinda a big deal among your people. So that might have played a factor. Or worse. I've been Raelle's roommate and friend for almost a year now. And I've noticed some things. First of all, she's gorgeous. Secondly, this fact is not lost on the boys around her. Especially the firebird ones. They basically drool over her, occasionally literally," she added, rolling her eyes. "And that didn't stop when she broke out in psionic tattoos and got a boyfriend. Now I'm really hoping that that isn't the reason why she was taken. I really, really hope that. But it's on the list of possibilities. Unfortunately."
igni stands quietly, mostly expressionless. Seeming to lack anything to say.

"Oh, never mind. I don't know why I'm even wasting my time. I'll just go back to the school and drive myself quietly crazy while I wait for news," she said, throwing up her hands and stalking off.

Silinrul, emerging from his secluded spot in the woods, overhears this "Everything OK miss? You sound distraught"
"No, everything is not okay. My best friend was kidnapped. Her family is already searching for her now, so there's nothing more I can do. But yeah, distraught is a pretty good description," she said hopelessly.

igni just sorta stnads around nearby,

"... Unfortunate. Well. Seeing as I accomplished nothing, I suppose I am no longer needed?"
"Seriously?" she said, turning around to face him. "That's your reaction? You know, after the whole thing on the sun and Raelle swearing that I had you guys all wrong, I've really done my best to give you another chance. But, you know, I think I had it right about you all along," she snapped.

"What do you expect me to say or do? I can't do anything to fix the problem. Getting emotional certianly won't help. And I'd like to get back to my studies so that I can get stronger, so I can prevent messes like this."

igni narrows his eyes, his tone going from his typical "apathy" to somehting slightly more stern and upset.
"I may not behave normally. I may not seem "simpathetic"... But I do care. I don't like to see needless pain. But I won't cry over it. I'll simply work agaisnt it. And standing around feeling sorry about what's going on out there isn't productive."

"You. Are. An. Idiot. You don't ask for details. Like who took her or if you should ask her family if you can help. You know, the obvious stuff. The logical stuff. I don't think you're a jerk because you're not emotional. I think you're a jerk because you can't be bothered to notice other people let alone care. The world doesn't always work the way you think it should, Igni. More power isn't going to help if you don't understand why people behave the way they do. She was taken by firebirds, not that you deserve to be given that information after how you've been acting. So you tell me, why would they do that? Why would they take Raelle?"

Kind of in limbo here. Igni just landed behind her but she didn't see him. She just told Sil that her best friend was kidnapped. Not sure if Igni heard that bit. No idea what happened to Cindra. Basically waiting on a reaction from somebody else in this scene. :)

igni finally lands, apparently having missed the message that the search was over. He returns to his human form, and snorts softly, embers flying out his nose, glancing around for any of the search party.

He sees Morrivan partway across the grounds talking to someone.

Lucas frowns. "very well" he says ater a short pause "but I recommend you get something to eat, maybe go find Igni and tell him what all we know, perhaps he will have guesses as to where a group of guards could have taken them, or perhaps just find some of your other friends and do homework. something to occupy you while you wait" he says to her before taking off to where Sorchan went.

Morrivan looked a little lost as Sorchan flew away back to the school. "Well, I guess that's it. Now for the hard part. The waiting. Thanks for your help, guys. I owe you. But we should probably head back. You two need to get inside. It's starting to get dark and it can get pretty chilly at night. Not so good for firebirds."

Morrivan arrived at the scene, out of breath and looked around wildly.

"Oh, no!" she moaned. "That's definitely Raelle's scarf. I gave it to her for her birthday."
"say calm now. Panicking helps no one, least of all Raelle. Now then. She's probably still alive, try to focus on that if you need to. Do you know anyone who would want to kidnap her but not kill her. Any stalkers, jealous ex-boyfriends, any special powers someone would want to use, anyone who'd want to use her for political reasons"

"Pretty sure the ex-boyfriend wouldn't stoop to kidnapping, she could have a stalker but if so they've been hiding well, as far as special powers go she's some kind of mathematical genius but I don't think that's exactly widely known, but politics.....You'd know them better than I would. Start with the council and work your way down," she said, standing there looking utterly miserable.

And then Sorchan showed up and demanded to know what had happened.

"Raelle was supposed to meet me by the lake after classes. She never showed. So I asked some people to help me look. I didn't want to sound the alarm if she was just with her sisters or something. Lucas found her scarf on the ground there. And her bag. And everything else as you can see. We have no idea where she is."

Inside the bag is a small bag of charcoal briquettes, a notebook filled with strange doodles - page after page of circular designs, and a datapad. Also a hair tie, some lip gloss, and a small hair brush. The hair tangled in the brush is dark.

::Somebody go and get Professor del Sol,:: Morrivan attempted to sort of mentally shout at whoever contacted her next. Not being naturally telepathic really sucked right now. She ran in the direction that Lucas had been sending from.
