Thanks BellyBeard. I had completely missed that Leaving spell slots open was dropped in 2e.

Appreciate it.

Hi All,

So I have just taken the Alchemist's Dedication feat for my character allowing me to use Advanced Alchemy and use my 2 reagents to create 2 batched of infused items.

My Question is: Can I leave 1 or more of those reagents free (kind of like leaving spell slots open) and prepare a batch of an infused alchemical items at any point during the day during a break, or must they be used during the morning preparations or be wasted. If so, how long would it take to brew a batch?

Thanks

Thanks guys.

I figured that was the case, but it was worth checking.

I was looking at the Alchemist dedication feat and there is a conflict between the wording of the feat and the Infused Reagents Class feature it references.

Alchemist Dedication: "You gain the alchemist's infused reagents class feature, gaining a number of reagents each day equal to your level."

Infused Reagents: "Each day during your daily preparations, you gain a number of batches of infused reagents equal to your level + your Intelligence modifier."

Is this a mistake or is the dedication intentionally lower than the standard class feature?

Received.

Thanks again all.

Thanks for the game everyone. Was a good quick run.

PM with email is coming through now

Okay, I have an elf wizard who spends all of his pathfinder mission money filling his spellbook. He doesn't like to get his hands dirty and that shows sometimes.

I have a newer "spellslinger" character, who I'm still trying to figure out how to play (lol, it's a rough archetype), but is playing as a younger "child" character whos' a bit of a prodigy being "mission-ready" so early, but kind of brash and into firearms in an "engineering curiosity" kind of way.

Any preferences before I pick one? Both are 2nd level, but one has a much deeper spellbook.

If you hate them both I'm happy to bring a new character but they'll then be first level lol (I have a boon for a grippli).

Spellslinger sounds fun. Never seen one in action.

But either way should be fine, we dont have an arcane caster.

Would I also be able to jump in on that one with my Lvl 1.1 Gnome Alchemist, Cordon?

Would be keen to jump in on any of these. I have a Lvl 1.1 Gnome Alchemist (Cordon) that I would love to play. Can do any except S02-13 Murder on the Throaty Mermaid (1-5).

Similarly, the character isn't level 2 until you receive that chronicle and apply it.

Thanks mate,

I suspected as much, but it was worth clarifying.

So question regarding Pregens and how they interact with your characters.

I am currently playing a pregen in Master of the Fallen Fortress and have assigned it to a lvl 1.2 character so once I finish MoFF he will be Lvl 2.

Can I play that character in a Lvl 2 PbP game whilst the MoFF is running, or is he classed as 'In game'?

GM Poblano Pepper wrote:

Hey all, it has been quite sometime been thinking about jumping back into running PbP again and wanted to know if anyone would be interested in playing a full run of Season six (6) or Season (7)?

Or maybe playing in a Core run of the Adventure Path: Shattered Star 61-66 in Campaign Mode?

Edit: Yes Campaign mode :P forgot to mention that part.

Definately keen on the Season 6 or 7 PFS run. I have also put my name down for the AP. I have only played a handful of pbp games but have a moderate experience level in PFS.

Ok , I have a Gnome Elemental Sorcerer, Falzord that I'd like to submit.

Background:

Falzord grew up in the circus with his best friend and sister, Nash, where his parents would use their icy magics to perform great illusions and displays of beauty. As he got older he discovered he and his sister were inherently able to deal with the elements of water and ice much more than illusory magics. His parents explained that their family line stems from the frozen north and that over generations, their magic became tied to the cold.

Recently, as the circus passed through southern Taldor, it was attacked by bandits. Falzord attempted to fight off the bandits but was knocked off his wagon unconscious during the struggle as the caravan tried to escape. He woke up a day later, in the cage of a Qadiran slave caravan with several halflings and a human named Adam, who was tending his wounds. Thankfully, no one else from his circus, especially his sister, was in sight. Falzord hoped that they had escaped, but there was no way to tell. After several days of travel, with help from his fellow captives and his innate magical ability, they escaped from the slavers. Falzord has now arrived in Heldren, the first town he came across, where he has said goodbye to his fellow escapees as they head in their own directions. Having no idea where his family could be heading or even if they are still alive. He is now at the Heldren Inn, unsure how to make his way in this world or go about finding them.

5 Min Questions:

5 points
1. Grew up in a travelling circus
2. excelled at ice magic and found out from his parents that his family line stems from northern Gnome tribes generations ago.
3. Strongly opposed to slavery since almost being sold himself after his traveling circus was attacked.
4. Loosely follows the teachings of Cayden Cailean, doing whatever you want (providing it does not cause harm to others), fighting for just causes, and enjoying the drink.
5. Having no idea where his family could be heading nor even if they are still alive, he is now unsure how to make his way in this world.

2 Goals
1. Find out the fate of his family, in particular his sister Nash.
2. Find a new place in the world outside of the circus

3 connections
1. His younger sister and best friend, Nash.
2. Adam, the friend who tended his wounds whist being transported to a slave market.
3. The owner of the Qadiran slave caravan (Wil come up with further detail about this if needed)

2 secrets
1. Blames himself for not being able to protect his sister better.
2. Unknown to him (kept secret by his parents) – His parents are direct decedents of winter witches. They joined the circus together to escape Irrisen and had a family together.

3 memories
1. Falzord and his sister using their magic to play pranks on the other members of the circus, such as freezing food as it was being eaten.
2. Gnomish children in a small town laughing at them and calling them Bleachlings – feeling ashamed of his white hair. Thinking he was a freak.
3. The image of falling from the Circus wagon with bandits chasing after before being knocked out when his hit the ground.

Fear
1. Fears that his sister has been sold into slavery as part of a different caravan and that he will never see her again.

Heldran
1. Falzord arrived in Heldren only a day ago, the first town he came across, where he has said goodbye to his fellow escapees as they head in their own directions. Having no idea where his family could be heading or even if they are still alive. He is now at the Heldren Inn, unsure how to make his way in this world or go about finding them.

Thanks GM Hmm, Appreciate the thought.

I have posted interest in the recruiting thread.

AlsoI have already done Seige of the Diamond City in person as well, so even If I jumped into the gameplay tab a bit earlier, it prob wouldn't have helped.

Hi Relic. I hope everything starts to get better with your dad.

Dotting for interest if/when this plans to recommence.

I have only done PbP twice before (PFS games), but really enjoyed it as my family committments prevent me from attending F2F games very often and I love the idea of a whole AP.

I will update with Character submission soon.

Elfire uses the rope and edge of the ravine to carfully climb down.

"Easy does it"

Take 10 to climb: 10 + 1 = 11

Once he reaches the bottom, Elfire then immediately uses the rope that is attached to the far side to carfully climb back up.

Take 10 to climb: 10 + 1 = 11

Eoran Olyrnn wrote:
Isn't climbing a wall while bracing against a wall a dc 5 or something?

Yes, under the climb skill in the CRB there is a table that says 'A rope with a wall to brace against, or a knotted rope' is a DC 5.

We Hallimir has bought some solvent and has 5 days of rations. Airyn has s decentvsurvival skill if memory serves so we should be ok for food. Does anyone wanna grab some antitoxin?

I think having different Characters would be preferable, but if we have two the same, might I suggest that some name changes might be in order to avoid confusion.

Can we call our ship the hinden-tanic dot

I have a few initial clarifications after scanning my character sheet:
1. Raia has a Thunderstrike Sonic Pistol with 2 batteries (20 charges each). The Gear description on page 2 says that the pistol can be fired 10 times before it's battery needs to be replaced or recharged.
Does this mean that each shot takes 2 charges? I also assume a move action to change a battery...correct?

2. The description for my 'Overheat' spell says " This spell deals 2d8 fire damage to creatures in a 15-foot burst" but has no range. Is the burst centred on me or on a point I designate (if so how far away)? likewise for Grease and ghost sound...no range.

Thanks

I was reading the SFS Guild Guide last nite and noticed that it referenced the Starfinder Online reference Document similar to the PRD (paizo.com/sfrd).

Anyone have an idea when this will be up?

I think that it should be showing up now given you posted here and the discussion tab?

Hmmm, nothing so far....I'll leave it for a day or so.

Checking in.

Haven't got the Core rulebook Yet...Australia is still waiting on our Pre-orders *grumble, groan, grumble*, but I have been following the blogs so I have a fairly decent idea of the main changes.

If no one objects I would love to play a technomancer..and If someone does object, then we could always fight to the death :-P.

Looking forward to it.

Hi All,

Been looking forward to SFS for a while now and would love to grab that last spot.

PFS Number: 52842-701

Wow, I can't believe how fast that filled up. I would like to nominate if someone pulls out (or if a 3rd table spawns :-))

Cool. Thanks for the help. I missed that table.

Along the same lines, can a small cat (leopard) be equiped with small/light barding. The only reference to it i can find is in the gear section that states 'barding made of medium or heavy armor provides better protection than light barding, but at the expense of speed'.

But there is no info on cost/penalties for small or light barding.

DM Papa.DRB wrote:
See the Bestiary for *only* the sprint Special Quality, nothing else.

So both cheetah and leopard are identical creatures?

Sorry if I seem to be asking a similar question but my lvl 4 ranger wants to take a leopard or cheetah as his animal companion. The core rule book has the following stat block for both (note that the stat block says see bestary) but the bestary has two very different stat blocks, one for each and describes them as having very different abilities and being very different creatures.

Cat, small (leopard, chertah)
Starting Statistics: Size Small; Speed 50 ft.; AC +1 natural armor; Attack bite (1d4 plus trip), 2 claws (1d2); Ability Scores Str 12, Dex 21, Con 13, Int 2, Wis 12, Cha 6; Special Qualities low-light vision, scent. 4th-Level Advancement: Size Medium; Attack bite (1d6 plus trip), 2 claws (1d3); Ability Scores Str +4, Dex –2, Con +2; Special Qualities sprint (see the Pathfinder RPG bestary).

So my question is which parts do i take from the bestary and when there is a conflict which one is right?
Thanks
