Her armor is a confusing piecemeal of several different parts, combining efficient protection with freedom of movement, and like her large simple-looking falchion seems to maximize practicality while ignoring presentation. "Martha", she says while nodding hastily at each of the present Pathfinders. "Fight to protect." ![]()

The medal is dirty and slightly corroded, though wipe and spit marks indicate that Martha has, unsuccessfully, tried to keep it in good shape. "But hopefully no demons. The mummies' death frees her from her paralysis, and she quietly sheathes her falchion, chuckling in silent satisfaction. "Amazing." She helps her allies collect and sort the various artefacts they find in the tomb, eyeing various magic items but not taking anything for herself. Later, in the Pathfinder lodge, Martha happily accepts the invitation to dinner, but once again leaves the talking to her friends. Thank you very much for the game, GM! She follows the Karsa and GM: The fighter follows Karsa, though she forces him to swim slower than his he is capable of. When the two find the scepter, it only takes a simple gesture from Karsa before Martha has both her hands on the piece of rusted metal, pulling it with all her might.
Strength + Bull's Strength: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 = 12 Pretty sure Heroism doesn't apply because this isn't a skill check. Assuming 12 is not enough, Martha fails to move the scepter, not used to manipulating her strength underwater. Thinking quickly, she points at the rope Karsa is holding, then at the scepter, and makes a motion with her hands as if tying a knot. ![]()

She has had her share of underwater adventure in her life, and it never went as well as it should have. "Not my first time", she says to her teammates as the reaches for her backpack and grabs a tiny silk sack which contains a glowing emerald fragment. "This can help me swim." Martha has a boon from the Emerald Spire Level 5 to give her Touch of the Sea (CL6), so swimming won't be much of a problem for her. ![]()

While her expression remains dead serious as she speaks, you get the sense that this is her attempt at humour, or at least that she understands the absurdity of what she's saying. Martha then stares intently at the recovering Pathfinder, knowing it's better to let her more socially adept allies handle the situation. ![]()

![]() Martha exhales from her nose as the first bandit falls to her two initial swings; she may have been expecting an enemy of her caliber, not any normal brigand. Even as she focuses on her given task, occupying--now updated to killing--Alarka, she must attempt to stop the frightened bandit who took a Pathfinder hostage from fleeing. Her attack goes wide though, which apparently leaves Martha unfazed. Instead, she uses the swing's momentum to strike at the bandit clad in green, hoping to dispatch him before she can get around to dealing with the spellcaster. She does not completely understand what caused the bandit to drop the unconscious Pathfinder, but she immediately steps up towards the leader as instructed by Kiboko. "Occupy their leader", she repeats. While this makes Alarka her target, Martha knows simply waltzing forward would put her in a dangerous and tactically inferior position and thus stops after a few steps to lash out at the blue bandit, still recovering from Karsa's fire. She moves her large sword with surprising ease, twice swinging and tearing chunks off the enemy's armor and flesh. Even after Karsa launches his fireball, the fighter remains standing in her place. She tilts her head towards the creatures. "Attack?" While it seems that she is desperately trying to conceal it, the sweat on her face and occasional shudders of her limbs make it clear that Martha is not in best condition to fight. ![]()

She barely says a word, replying in short sentences that get right to the point when prompted to speak, and spends most of her time watching the environment for danger or objects of interest from horseback. Occasionally, Martha rides up to Juhnavi to point at a landmark she may have missed or check possible trails, but leaves most of the pathfinding to the others. Martha is a tall, muscular Chelaxian woman with long dark-blue hair and lightly tanned skin, clad in piecemeal armor of various metals and hides, a glinting falchion hanging from her back. She stands incredibly still in the entrance to the room, eyes silently scanning the Pathfinders sitting in the room, before taking her place. "Please excuse me for being late, Venture-Captain; my arrival to Sothis was delayed", she says, her voice airy yet crisp and her dental consonants accentuated. "I am Martha, Martha von Lucius, of Cheliax. I listened to the briefing from behind the door, but did not want to interrupt anyone." ![]()

![]() A muscular woman quietly opens the door and looks around. She then walks to the center of the lodge, takes out a neatly rolled piece of parchment, unfurls it and opens her mouth. "Attention, Pathfinders! Venture-Captain Brackett is in need of some socially- or financially-minded volunteers for an important mission in Druma!" She then goes to the recruitment board and pins the parchment to it with a delicate yet strong push. "Report to Brackett in the Almas lodge. He expects you to be there Wealday, Lamashan 12th.
