Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

Loxley thought it best to give Bandit and Sazzat space. It was obvious the raccoon was unhappy with her, though not nearly as unhappy as he was with Zeldana still.

Instead she turned to check Corrin as he laid on the ground.
”If it’s down here we’ll find it.”
She tried ro reassure him.
”If not, we will help you hunt it down. I promise.”
She offered the elf a smile and a hand to sit up.
”Are you hurt.”
She asked, checking the druid for any serious wounds.

Sorry folks, been feeling a little under the weather lately. I’ll try to get a post up after the holiday.

Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

Shame burns Loxley’s cheeks as her companions praise her strength.
Unable to look at them again, she lowers her head and shakes it.
”I, I can’t take credit for this but I wholly accept responsibility for it.”
Her knuckles turn white as she squeezes the rod.
”Even though it wasn’t my intention, what I did to everyone is unforgivable. I’ll understand if you want me to leave.”

Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

A tremendous weight fell away from Loxley’s shoulders as Yeda regained her freedom, her heart feeling lighter as the warrior thanked her.

She quickly turned to face the others. She could try releasing them one at a time, Corrin seemed the most logical to free next, or she could try…
But what if she free the barghest as well?

And then the was Bandit. Loxley still didn’t understand why the little one had turned on them-
‘Wait a moment.’
She suddenly remembered one of the monster’s abilities was to be able to charm other creatures. That would explain the sudden turn.

Loxley couldn’t do anything about a possible charming right now. Once the barghest was dead the effect should end.

Corrin would be next then. Between him and Yeda they should be able to put the monster down quickly. Then it would be safe to release Bandit.

As if on cue, a cry of primal rage erupted from the druid. The magic holding him shattering on its own.

Loxley watched as the two front line combatants of their party launched into attacks again, along side the divine weapon wielded by Gunnar’s faith.
But it was Yeda’s mighty blow that took the creature’s head from its body.

Loxley sighed in relief then turned back to the others. Walking over she carefully took hold of Bandit and turned to Yeda.
”Hold him, just in case.”

Turning back to the party Loxley took a deep breath and focused on them. Looking at each person purposefully in turn. She was going to have a lot of forgiveness to beg for. Loxley licked her lips and spoke aloud.
”Be free.”

Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

Oddly enough, doesn’t look like I ever put down an alignment. If I had to say though, I think she’s leaning NG right now.

Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

It was almost overwhelming.
Magic rushed through her and out into the world, touching everyone. Connecting her to them. To them and more she could only be vaguely aware of.

Everyone around her froze as if time had stopped. Only the flickering of light and heavy breaths confirmed the continued flow of time around her.

Loxley stared in confusion around her. The arm still holding the rod dropped to hang limply at her side.

“W-what happened?”
She mumbled.
“Zel? Sazzat?”
Loxley looked from the witch to the rogue as she stepped forward to check the others.
“Yeda?”
She tentatively reached out and placed a hand on the warrior’s back. Her fingers tightened around the rod and she finally looked down. She blinked in confusion at the rod, not sure how it got there.

Wait… This was her doing…
Horror filled her at the thought of what she’d done. What she had done to her friends. Loxley felt her fingers numb and the rod nearly slipped from her grasp, only for fear of Dutchess’s warnings to tighten her grip again.

She knew she would owe them all deeply, but first she had to make sure they survived this encounter.
Loxley bit her lip. Anger, emotion had driven her a moment ago and she had been unfocused. But perhaps…
She had to try something.

Hand flat on Yeda’s back, Loxley closed her eyes and bowed her head. She focused on the warrior. Strong and true. Fierce and skilled. Friend and ally. She focused on Yeda as best she could. Leaning closer, she stood on her toes to bring her mouth near Yeda’s ear and lowered her voice to the barest of whispers.
“Be free.”

Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

Loxley watched as the creature continued to flicker in and out of reality when suddenly, a flash of gray and black launched itself at Zeldana.

Loxley stumbled a step and found herself leaning against the room’s entrance way. One hand slipped down to her belt and she shifted her sword in irritation. Bandit was attempting to chew on Zel for some unfathomable reason.

Between the screams of her allies and the snarls of the barghest, she was ready to snap at someone. Her fingers tightened around what she thought was her sword hilt, but was in actuality the rod she had tucked in beside it.

Her attention shifted back to the creature as it snapped a drooling maw at Yeda. Her anger flared up and she found herself yelling at the creature.
”By the gods, stand still and stop flickering you hell spawned beast!”
She commanded as she drew the rod as if it were her dueling blade, leveling it at the barghest mistakenly.

Loxley bit back another curse as the barghest phased out of the Prime plane, taking it’s shadow with it. She had never tried the spell on under these conditions and forced herself to except this as a learning experience.

She just hoped the lesson she learned wasn’t that she was a failure that will get her friends killed through her ignorance.

She mentally shook herself. There was no time for that trail of thought. She had to focus on the moment at hand.

Already her hands traced a new pattern through the air. Lines of red following her finger tip as she did so. A snap of arcane words punctuated the air as a ray of scorching flames ignited the air between her and the monster.

Loxley’s mind still buzzed from the spell swapping and she cursed as she watched the creature seemed to partially fade in and out. Zeldana’s words rang true when she thought about it for a moment. That was right, these things have magic that allowed them to move around freely, they needed to pin it down.

”I don’t think I can stop that, but I can try to keep it from moving around too much.”

She called magic to her again, her hands moving as she chanted. A blade of darkness formed in her fingers, and with the final word of the spell she flung it at the barghest’s shadow.

Blood seemed to explode from the druid in sprays.

Loxley stood frozen from shock for only a moment, then her eyes snapped on to the creature as it materialized.

In an instant, pages and manuscripts flashed across her mind’s eye. Drawings and woodcuttings sharing its monstrous visage.

“It’s a barghest!”
She yelled.
“A greater one! Strike it with magic!”

She caught a glimpse of Gunnar already moving to Corrin’s aid. She could almost feel the positive healing energy from the cleric’s magic. She knew Corrin would be on his feet and angry in only a moment.

Loxley knew her best option as she pulled her spellbook out and opened it. Her hands moved on their own, knowing exactly what page she needed. Her eyes scanned the page, the arcane knowledge overwriting the spell she had already chosen to sacrifice.

The tome snaps shut and Loxley is already chanting. With a rush of adrenaline the arcanist reaches out, a glowing hand grip’s Corrin’s spear for a moment. Just long enough for the glow to flow and spread its length, leaving the weapon temporarily enchanted.

Loxley caught herself holding her breath as the stone doors slowly yielded to ancient mechanisms. She felt the tinge of for magic dispelling and shivered once.

Once open, she saw Corrin step forward to take Zeldana’s place at point. She could hear the growl as well and was determined not to be useless this time.

She gently passed Gunnar as the man prayed to his deity to stand beside Zel. Her eyes saw nothing out of the ordinary, but she was being careful as she raised a hand in a simple gesture and spoke a short incantation. Her magic spreading out to search their surroundings.

The climb up reminded her just how much she had neglected strength training. She really needed to do something about that. She gave Crusk a smirk between catching her breath.

She couldn’t deny Corrin’s mention of the goblin ear bounty. At this point, money was money.

Loxley was cautious and mindful as they retraced their route through the ruins. A cantrip provides her a reassuring light to ward off the darkness.

”More common than I’m comfortable saying. But even this is like a weight on the soul. This place has been awash in the foul and unforgivable for far too long I’d wager.”
She muses from Zeldana’s right.

When they reach the star-marked door she lets Zel take the lead, though already she calls spells to the forefront on her thoughts. She wants to be ready for whatever is beyond the locked portal.

Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

Loxley watched as Crusk and Gunnar took their time climbing the rope. She nodded as each of them made it to the top safely.
She glance at Zeldana and motioned to the rope.
”Your turn.”
She smiled.
”Don’t worry, I’ll cushion your landing if you fall.
Loxley chuckled.
”I’m sure Bandit can hold on if he wants to be lazy.”
She smirked at the raccoon teasingly.

I thought I’d plan ahead for next level, but when I was looking at it the only think I need to decid e is what two spells to add to my book. :p
And one of them is obvious.

Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

Loxley stepped closer to Corrin and gave him what she hoped was a comforting squeeze on his arm.
”I understand, no one will push you and no one will judge you. When the time comes to descend again, you can wait above. Stand guard and watch the exit should we need to retreat.”
She offered, giving the half-elf a perfectly valid alternative should he need it.

She spared a glance at Zel, feeding a rather content looking Bandit and chuckled.
”If you continue to spoil him, he’s going to start getting a belly.”
She teased as she stepped back over to her and others.

Loxley watched as Corrin followed after Sazzat. She trusted them, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t just a little worried. If something happened the rest of them would be hard pressed to follow quickly. All she could do for the moment was bite her thumbnail and wish them the best of luck on the rickety looking wall.

Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

Loxley shot Crusk a sideways glance, looking for any hint of insult at the ‘my lady’. She didn’t notice any, and felt bad for reacting.

She thought about what Corrin said.
“Well, it was certainly a large threat.”
She walked over to join him at the cliff edge and looked down.
“We can, but it might be wiser to get a boat from town and come back by water than attempting to scale these cliffs.”
She patted him on the shoulder and shook her head at Yeda.
“And we are all glad you survived your act of heroism, and you probably saved Yeda’s life.”

She nodded back at Crusk as the conversation turned back to the threat of goblins.
“It’s true we struck a mighty blow to them this time. But like most things that thrive in the muck and dark, even one can cause trouble if ignored. So, being cautious and prepared is wise.”
Loxley gave Crusk a smile and nodded in agreement.

“I’m sure once you hear it, it won’t sound nearly half as exciting as you imagine.”
She teased Gunnar
“But given a few drinks and the praise of the locals, I’m sure Crusk could spin it into quite the epic.”

“As much as stealth would be a blessing, you know as well as anyone, this group is too big and untrained for it to be a valid option. So we’ll keep our trust in you to be our eyes and ears.”
She says to Sazzt as she walks back towards the others, not noticing the rogue’s deferance.
“You and your better half.”
She chuckles as Bandit enjoys Zeldana company.
“Now you’re just mocking me.”
She smirks at the raccoon.

Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

Loxley troed not to laugh at Gunnar’s unfortunate discovery of Dwarven spicing.
”And that is why I am leery of true Dwarven cooking.”
She chuckled.

She was quiet and respectful as the cleric preformed last rights for the remains of the poor soul. Though she was sure she heard something in the man’s tone that had her having to resist another snicker.

When it was over she glanced at Sazzat when he asked for anyone that could read Dwarven. Loxley had to shake her head.
”I’m afraid I’ve meant to, but just never had a proper opportunity to.”
She touched her chin thoughtfully.
”I really do need to return to my studies. This whole matter has been something of a, ah, distraction.”
The Arcanist grimaced.

She watched as Gunnar, though, cast a spell of comprehension.

She listens silently, her feelings complicated. Her held no sympathy for those that dealt in the flesh of other sentient creatures. But it was so long ago that any anger seems wasted on those long dead.

After a moment Loxley takes a deep breath and exhales it.
”Well, seems there are more secrets to be found around here.”
She gives a mock exaggeration of a sigh.
”Yet, more distractions.”
She chuckled.

”We should check the other side of the keep. Maybe it’s safer than the way we came.”

Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

Loxley watches as Gunnar sets about giving the Dwarven remains proper, or at least as proper as possible at the moment, rites. When he moves to help Corrin and Crusk with the boat she makes sure to keep herself out of the way.

For some reason she can’t place, she finds it a little comforting that so many little lives were benefited from this loss of one life. Despite the cruelty of fate.m, life persists one one form or another she supposed.

She gave Gunnar a raised eyebrow and smirk as he stuffed the preserved trail rations into his mouth like a little boy.
”Boys will be boys.”
She managed a chuckle before turning her attention to Sazzat after his remark about the oars having magic.

”I can try to identify them, if you need.”
She offered, if the rouge liked.
”I have the proper spell prepped.”
Meaning she had the Identify readied.

Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

As the group approached the overturned boat Loxley eyed it curiously.
It looked to be in fine condition still. Either it hadn’t been there very long, or it was of excellent quality.

Stepping closer she ran a hand along a partially buried oar. The sand shifted and a glimpse of something white hinted at something else buried along with it.
Loxley crouched and looked a little closer. The breeze picked up a little and more grains slid away. Suddenly, a tiny mound revealed the epiphysis of a long bone, exposed again to the sun that had already bleached it white.

Loxley let out a small sigh.
”Has anyone gone missing on the waters in the recent past?”
She glanced back at Zeldana as she stepped up to the bow of the boat and crouched again. Carefully she brushed away at the sand in search of more remains.

Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

Loxley had feared the worse as the others aided Crusk. But once the bard was on solid ground breathed a sigh of relief and managed a smirk.
“Leave it to the bard to be over dramatic.”
She chuckled, but it sounded a little forced.

She glanced at Corrin.
”Yes, the boat.”
Loxley agreed.
”It would be rather silly to have gone through this and not check it.”
She nodded.
”Gods willing, we might find another entrance as well. I for one, do not want to temp that edge again.”

Loxley followed Corrin’s lead. After all he was the one that actually knew where it was.

Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

Loxley looked down into the newly uncovered interior and felt her stomach do a little flip-flop. If one of them had been crossing when that fell…
She didn’t want to think about it.

Even though it had been a general consensus to check the boat, Loxley still felt this was somehow her fault.
”I could have gotten one of us killed.”
She muttered under her breath to herself. She should have thought up a safer way across.

Loxley shook her head.
Venturing down that trail of thought would do her no good. Just lead her to further doubts and second guessing herself.

She tried to compose herself and looked back to the others.
”Everyone alright?”
She asked.

She regarded Sazzat.
”If we want to do that, we will need to be much more careful.”

Loxley had grimaced at Crusk’s comment, but remained silent.

As the group moved around the ruins she was happy to have something else to think about. When they reached the narrowed edge Loxley glanced over it and grimaced again.

That seemed to be becoming a habit she noticed.

The other easily made the with little effort. She was bringing up the rear behind the newest members. Gunnar had slipped, but managed to save himself thanks to the rope Corrin had secured.
Crusk was next and he had met a similar fate.

‘Okay, you can do this.’
Loxley thought to herself. She took a deep breath and took the rope herself. Carefully she searched for footing and edged out.
Everything seemed to be going okay… until it wasn’t.
The crumbling surface that had claimed the two before her held no mercy. Rocks shifted and Loxley screamed as she fell.
”AAAaaahh!”
Her hands reacted without thinking and she snatched for the rope. The rough fibers digging into palms as she clamped down on it with both hands like vices.
”Ow, ow, ow….”
Loxley groaned when she finally stopped. Slowly she pulled herself back up.

Loxley nodded to Crusk and gave a half- smile and chuckle.
“A bit of a cheerful tune might not go awry. Especially if it can lighten the gloom hanging over this place.”

When Corrin mentions the goblin druid she nods seriously.
“We parted on neutral terms, I think, I wouldn’t want to sway that balance right now.”
She adds after he explains to Gunnar.
”It’s hard to say. We were in a hurry and had a goal, so I’m sure we missed more than a few nooks and crannies. Probably a number of side doors and passageways we passed along the way.”
She said, answering his question.

Loxley approached the rope bridge with the others, watching Corrin as the elf checked it. When he stepped out onto it she holds her breath for a moment before exhaling when all seems well.
She waits her turn as they make their way across. Though it isn’t until she’s safely on the opposite side that she relaxes.
“It’s agreed then?”
She looks between Zel and Yeda, then to boys.
“We’ll check the perimeter for entrances we may have missed, and check the boat along the way. Then we’ll head inside.”

Female Human Arcanist (White Mage) AC: 12/touch 12/ flat 10 F +1 / R +3 / W +4 Speed: 30' Init: +4 HP: 19/24

Loxley squinted her eyes against the fading light of the day.
“Everything looks the same as when we left.”
She comments, noting the entrance they had used was still standing open from there previous raid of the goblin outpost.

She watched as Corrin wild shaped and took to the air. Loxley watched as the druid circled the ruins and returns.
”A boat? Hmm.”
She looked thoughtful.
”I suppose we should check it out.”

She looked around at the others inquisitively.
”What say we circle the exterior? We can check the boat Corrin saw and look for other entrances.”
She offered with a nod to Gunnar, acknowledging the merit of his question.

Rusty Dragon, Common Room

”Wizards…”
Loxley groaned as the man vanished without giving his leave.
”I swear they trade their manners for their magic.”
She opened her mouth to say something else, paused as she recognized the traces of hypocrisy in her next few thoughts. After all she had studied wizard’s style of arcane magic in order to harness her own natural power.

She gave a sigh and let the tension flow from her with an exhale.

She hadn’t noticed Crusk had finished his song until the man was already speaking to her. She gave the bard her attention and offered a warm smile.
”Ah, yes, I apologize. It’s been a… eventful morning, to say the least.”
She gave a wry chuckle and offers her hand to shake.
”Please, forget the whole royalty thing. I’d rather not dwell on it right now. You may just call me Loxely. And that good woman, is Yeda.”
She gestured towards the warrior as she turned to follow.
”You’re welcome to accompany us. But know, we have a terrible knack for finding ourselves in trouble’s way.”
Loxley laughed a little more brightly.

Rusty Dragon, Outside

Loxley followed Yeda shortly out the doors of the inn, only to be pleasantly surprised by several of her friends and another new face.

She gives Gunnar a bright smile.
”Well now, we have a bounty of new companions it would seem.”
She steps down to join the others.
”Just a shame they’re both men.”
Loxley teases.

Brief description for Crusk and Gunnar (or anyone else. :p ):

Dressed in well kept traveling attire, the human woman of average height and slender build wears short blonde hair that one might notice was kept shorter, but has been allowed to begin growing out again. Her eyes are hazel and her skin is lightly tanned from travel.
While she does look like she probably spends more time reading then training, she still carries a slender blade on her hip. Little ink stains on her hands and small wrinkles at the corners of her eyes tell of long nights reading and writing.
The careful and precise movements of her hands speak of countless hours practicing to move them with precision.
All of this identifies Loxley as a caster of the arcane arts.

Loxley chuckled at Yeda’s little joke and pats her on the shoulder.
”I would offer to join you, but I fear I would need saving myself. I think I will stick to shorelines and rivers.”
She looked Gunnar over curiously.
”I guess Father Zantus feels we need watching over. Well then, allow me to add to the introductions.. May name is Loxley.”
Loxley gestures to the half-orc.
”Crusk this is Zeldana and Corrin, and Gunnar was it? Everyone, this is Crusk. A rather fine bard that would like to accompany us, if no one objects.”

Loxley snapped back before throwing her hands up in exasperation. Pushing away from the table, she begins to pace as Anx continues.

“We have near a half dozen companions I believe would be willing to lend their aid.”
She adds as she paces.

It takes a moment before she realizes someone is playing music. Glancing towards the stage she sees Crusk on the small stage with his lute.
She takes a moment to take a breath and calm herself. She would not want to discourage Yeda right now, but later she would confront the old man. No wizard she knew ever offered their services for free, there would be a cost. She just hoped it would not be too high.

“Friends can still be fools. Perhaps you should ask why she didn’t ask for a higher price.”
She shot back when the old man insinuated Yeda had somehow unjustly undercut Savah.
“Or perhaps why she was just offering such a relic for simple trade to begin with. Something like the First Blade should have been more securely held.”
She shook a finger at Anx.
”Or perhaps you would care to continue implying my friend, Yeda, somehow strong armed her into parting with a true relic of the ages for mere coppers.”
She defended her friend.

Loxley nodded along with the wizard at first. She glares at him unnoticed as he belittles Yeda’s strength of will. Inevitably though, she finds herself rolling her eyes at his outdated ideas of women casters.
But… if he truly has a way they could fix Mar’du… perhaps she could tolerate the old fool a little longer.
She eyed the puzzled together blade. Loxley scoured her memories for tales of the First Paladin and their blade. But they were all folklore and bedtime tales.

”The fool probably had no idea of what she truly held in his shop.”
She quips when Yeda tells how she acquired the weapon.

Loxley eyed the pieces as they scattered across the table and felt a tinge of regret again. She had been pouring over her book for a solution. And while she had found a way around some of the limitations of the original mending spell, she still wasn’t sure about the strange magical interference the sword fragments had demonstrated.

She watched the wizard as he showed some interest in the remains. She was loath to admit it to herself, but she was curious what the old man was thinking.
She sipped at her own drink as Crusk brought the requested wine. For a moment she thought he had asked for it to drink himself, but when instead he dropped one of the smaller bits of the blade she watched.
To her surprise, she watched as the fragment drew the very color from the fluid. She looked up from the glass as the old wizard named the metal for what it was… necro ferris magi.

”Star metal?”
She repeated with only mild disbelief as she picked up another peice to look at more closely.
”I’ve only every read hersay of it, never seen it for myself. That would certainly explain what happen the last time I tried to mend it.”
Loxley commented, absorbed now but the academics of the discussion. She looks at Anx with genuine curiosity, her inquisitive nature easily suppressing her other concerns for the moment.
”If it’s truly that magically absorbent, can it even be repaired by magic alone? Or will we need a properly equipped forge?”

Loxley gave Titus a hasty, nervous nod before Anx snatched up her full attention.
”I never-”
She began to deny ever even wanting the throne, but the wizard cut her off as he continued.

She pales as he speaks. Her gut tightening, she feels she may lose what little she had eaten already.
Loxley had only accepted the rod under duress. She was beginning to see just how little she had grasped at the time. She sat frozen, knuckles white as she gripped her utensils. She couldn’t bring herself to meet the wizard’s gaze.

She could have kissed Yeda when the warrior pulled the old man's attention away from her, even if she knew it wouldn’t be for long.

Loxley smirked as the old man initially fell silent.
But as the silence stretched and the wizard’s reaction became more serious, she grew concerned.

She had simply meant it as a thumb bite at the old curmudgeon. But at his confirmation, she could taste the sarcasm in the air. A feeling she echoed.

Titus scarnetti, who had been standing at the bar, drinking a morning beverage and munching on Sausage, drops his fork and mug to the bar. he strides quickly up to Loxley, and takes a knee before the reluctant Myth.

Your Majesty. Myself and my family stand ready to aide you in whatever means you need to see yourself upon the throne.

Loxley inhaled a sharp hiss and lowered her tone.

”Then please do well and not repeat what you have heard.”
She glances around the inn like a mouse in a cat house.
”And stand up before someone sees you.”

The arcanist looked back at the wizard.
”Do you see now why I am vexed at the Duchesses’ rather abrupt departure.”
She waved a hand
”There are still questions of which I venture she holds answers. I have no desire at this time to avail myself of the hassles and life threatening machinations of dealing with heridtary politics.”

She can’t help but sigh and pick up her mug to take a long drink.

“Well then, perhaps you should mind your manners in the presence of myth.”
Loxley sighed as she took another bite of her own meal.
”A myth I dare say I wish it remained.”

“But yet, your former student was insistent. So far as to thrust this upon me.”
She pulled the Rod of Ancestors from its hiding spot behind her sheath, holding it where the wizard, Anx, could see it.

Loxley just looked at the old wizard. Her sarcasm having completely rolled off him.

She finched when Yeda shattered the pot of honey, then gave the warrior a reproachful look.
“Come now, there is no need to take your anger out on Ameiko.”
She chided, reminding Yeda they were still in the Rusty Dragon.

She smiled apologetically at the innkeeper.
“We’ll pay for that.”
Loxley offered in a stage whisper.

The smile quickly vanished when she turned back to the old man.
“What heritage? Didn’t you know?”
She couldn’t keep the contempt from seeping into her tone. Not for the wizard this time, but at burden that had been foisted upon her.
“Why, you break fast with the lost heir to the Cheliax throne.”
Loxley punctuated the answer with a short, bitter laugh before taking a bite of her own breakfast.

I still look forward to the day I can create a magic item of my own. Though that may require custom spell eventually. ;)

Oh no, no, no…
I do not want to open that can of worms. :p

Creating new spell is a pain in the butt.

quick and dirty, i guesstimate you have available 1900Gps for the party to spend on gear.
Is that each or total?

He said it was for the party. So I can only assume it would be 1900 divide by however many there where of us at the time. 6 of us?

So 316.66g each?

There was talk though of barding for Dewdrop and The MW sword Yeda bought. And Loxley kept the Abyssal book(100g account GM). So not sure how the rest of what got sold was split)

Separate note: I completely forgot Loxley claimed the wand of shocking grasp. :p
Need to add that to equipment list.

There was talk of some of what we found back on pg8 but I don’t remember exactly how it ended up being divvied up.

Little less than 140g

We need to go back to Thistletop :p

The look the arcanist gave the wizard could have peeled the paint from the walls as he dropped himself into a seat at their table.

She glanced at Yeda, wondering if the warrior was going to let the old man know just how she felt. The two women exchange a look for a moment and Loxley sighs. She couldn’t actually hold any crime against him. He may be an ass, but while rude, it wasn’t against any law.

She closed her eyes, took a deep breath and exhaled it. Retaking her seat she glared at Anx again with barely restrained impatience.
”One could assume to have further sage advice to share.”
Loxley crossed her legs and arms. She still felt some responsibility for the events that transpired the previous night.
”Seeing as how the person who barged into my life and completely turned it upside down. Who forced me to accept a heritage I’d have been happy to remain ignorant of. The same person with actual first hand knowledge of said heritage and the possible threats it entails, might be someone whose company I could do without.”
Sarcasm dripped from her words like venom.

Rusty Dragon, Common Room:

Loxley scoffed.
”So, you’re saying she teleported herself under some contingency? So be it.”
She dismissed, There would be time to find the bounty hunter later. She pressed on.
”That still doesn’t explain why you chose to assault her. Unless you did so knowing full well what would happen.”
She scowled.
”Then I believe we are still owed some answers. You knew she was here. Did you know why? Did you know and just choose not to forewarn us?”
She accused.

Rusty Dragon, Common Room:

”Wait! You are Anx? The local wizard?”
Loxley looked from Ameiko to the disheveled old man with a grimace.

She tried to reassure Corrin with a squeeze on his shoulders, but the elf was beyond furious. She started to reach for him ambit decided it best to let him cool off.

She turned her attention back to Anx as the old man seem solely focused on Zeldana.
”You are mad. And if I did not respect Amieko, I would show you just what you could do with your desired breakfast.”

Loxley voice was cold. She was already tired of the man’s cavalier disregard for her, her friends and her companions.
”If you have something worth saying, then speak. Otherwise, crawl back under whatever rock you dragged yourself out from under.”
She slammed a hand on to the table.
”I will not abide by your rudeness. If you will not explain yourself, then your presence is not wanted around here.”

Loxley quickly came around the table, stopping by Corrin’s side. She placed a hand on his shoulder as he mumbled in elven.
”All will be well.”
She tried to reassure him in elven.

She glared up at the old man.
”That does not answer our questions.”
She swept her hand around at Crusk and Yeda.
”Where is she and by what right have you sent her away?”
Loxley demanded, repeating her companion’s valid questions as she drew herself up to her full height and tried to look confident in herself.

The man’s last words caught her attention.
”Wait, do you not even know where you sent her? Are you mad?”
