Another design flaw found in the New game system. All classes should be able to increase their weapon skill in a single weapon by spending a general feat. There is no reason for this not to be able too be done.

If you tested the DNA of an Elf, Dwarf, Human Orc and Goblin they would be nothing alike. Ancestry is your relation to an near or far ancestor not what race you are. The only way Ancestry is even close to an accurate descriptor would be for a half breed. For a full breed the correct descriptor would be race.

IMO the Ancestry change is Pazio bowing to a small vocal minority of the gaming community that is very left wing and politically correct if race was good enough since the inception of 1st ed D+D it is good enough now.

I have found many things in the new play that I like. The simplified action economy. Character Generation looks interesting needs a few bugs worked out but easily fixable. Classes need a great deal of work as do races but with a little bit of love fixable. Things I dislike Resonance totally unnessary IMO it adds book keeping and adds nothing to the game.
If you want to change how wands work change how wands work. Resonance is not the way to do this. Resonance for potions is just plain bad. If you use resonance for potion then resonance should be charged during productin of the potion not when the potion is consumed. Resonance seems to me a mechanic that people that want a low magic game like and people that and people that like a high magic game hate. I do not think there is a middle ground between the two.

The new skill system looks very good. Though I am somewhat confused as to how you gain from expert to master to legendary. I also think that with the different levels of skill mastery makes it easy to add magic items tomes that advznce ones skill mastery between levels. cloaks and boots that advance ones steath or athletics mastery levels.

my most disliked thing that i HAVE SEEN is staffs. again this is easily fixible Have the user pay each day to invest ones staff and not pay when you use the them. Instead during downtime Resonace would be paid to recharge the item.

I have found many things I like and only a few easily fixible things that I think that are in need of repair.

my bigggest gripe is not how the game works it is how the rules are writen you have added far too much unnessary verbage that adds nothing to the game but confusion. for instance in the action ecommny added a new term that is confusioning . I can't remember the word right now but it strikes me as some sort of adjutive describing a phase in your 3 actions. as I understand it you get three actions move attack cast[sometime casting takes more than 1 action] this is simple dont add complexity where none is neeeded. your 3 action economy is very very good.

There is no reason o change bonuses to just change them. What is wrong with an elven cloak giving a competence bonus to what ever skill stealth is tied too.

What is wrong with how wands and gaffs functioned in fist ? Who ever is rioting is making things overly complex for no reason. Make it easy if you want to use a staff or wand when you prepare your spells. Spend 1 point of resonance and you can use a number of charges from that item equal to your total resonance score.

I would like to put forward an idea. Do away with meta magic rods, if you want to use a meta magic ability bind into your staff if you have the feat spend one resonance and is bound to. Your staff. If you don’t have the feat you need to find a caster that has the feat and spend 2000gp per spell level slott. Say you want to add empower and you don’t have the feat it would cost. You 4000gp and 2 points of resonance the day you have it added to your staff. Then when you invest you staff you would sped. 3 resonance an any blasts spells on your staff would be empowered fo that day.

Consumables should not cost any resonance to use. They are basicly temporary resonance batteries. Their creator invested them with power until they are used.

Try a4x8 battle mat. You won’t have those problems.

I think that the scribe scroll feat should be a free feat for all casting classes. It's easily offset by giving non casters a free feat or class ability. All arcane casters would learnn this feat in their initial training.

I think divine casters would also learn this ability during initial training or brew potion.

HI Mark I postsed this on James's thread but he seems to be real busy at the moment and this is some what rulesly question.

I have a question on the Warpriest Class. All other divine casters pray to get their spells. It seems that Warpriests memorize spells from a spell book like arcane casters. Where do Warpriests spells come from?

James, I have a question on divine casters and healing the general populace. Do nations that have a large concentration of clergy have a lower death rate from disease and death from infection and deformities from broken bones due to the divine casters looking after their flocks and providing them with the gifts from the gods.

For myself my divine casters when not off adventuring do look after their flocks ensuring that they are healthy and hale they even work with the midwives in case the mothers need looking after if their any complcations from bringing new members of the community into the world.
do you consider this the norm? Also my divine casters take the max ranks in Heal to help them care for their flocks.

James do your arcane casters use staffs? Do you think that they are over priced? I don't mind their price so much as they only have 10 charges in a standard staff. In RPG system that I cut my teeth in staffs had 50 charges and wands had a max of 10 charges some unique wands had 50 charges but they were very rare. I do really like that staffs use the casters casting stat do determine the DC.

Until recently I never played full arcane casters but I started playing an arcnist and they have to be one of the best class that Paizo has come out with. I teamed up with a friend who was a blaster Sorc and the DM called us the legion of boom.

James, How does scribing a Spell book differ from scribing a Scroll?
Why does scribing a Scroll require a feat and Scribing a spell book does not?

Mark, I have recently began playing an arcaneist. My first full caster.
I have found what I feel is a incongruance in the rules. Casters scribe
their spells in a spell book but require a separate feat to scribe a scroll. That makes no sense the only difference between the two are, is that a scroll requires a spell trigger. IMO I think that this is a legacy from 3.5 that can be easily corrected by giving all caster classes the scribe scroll feat as a free bonus feat w/o upsetting the balance at all. Scribe scroll is a very weak feat. It is a Feat tax much like Combat Expertise.

Could I get your oppion on a Arcanist Exploit that I have designed,
Meta-Exploit: By Spending one or more points from your Arcane Reservoir to Apply any meta magic feat that you know to one of your Exploits. You would spend one point from your Arcane per sell level increase.
example if the Arcanist were to apply the meta magic feat Burning Spell to his Flame Arc exploit he would spend an additional 2 points from his Arcane Reservoir when he casts flame arc.

Comey was the Director of the FBI, he was not in charge of the Investigation of Russian Email hack and election intervention.
The current acting Director of the FBI was in charge of the Investigation
in conjunction with Deputy Director in charge of the Counter Intelligence Division. They both reported to Comey but The FBI Director does not oversee Investigations he testifies before congress and manages the Deputy Directors.

The current acting Director should not have been in charge of the investigation in the first place. His wife was given $500000 in campaign donations by Terry Mc Califf the Governor of Virginia while her husband

Mark would you think a Slayer Talent that changed the Sneak attack Die type for d6 to d8 would be ok?

Mark do you see any thing wrong with a wondrous item, that is a salve that heals 1d8 per dose and comes in a tin of 50 doses for 750gp?
it is spread on the wound and that activates the magic healing.

I priced it the same as a wand of cure light. The actions econmy is a little different as you have to open the tin and spread it on the wond a free action to open the tin and one standard action to spread it on the wound. This is from another game that it worked fine in. It is mainly for non casters that do not have UMD to activate a wand.

Crusader Wolf, Gitmo will never be closed. There are 25 to 50 senior AQ leaders who can never be let out of Gitmo because they are too dangerous. They can not be tried in Federal court because they underwent hostile interrogation because the USG was at and continues to be at war with AQ. The AQ leaders in Gitmo can not be brought into the Continental US because then they would be under the jurisdiction of the federal courts and the federal court system is not set up try terrorists captured on the battle field. Terrorists taken on the battle field have no rights .like you or I do if we are arrested by the police or federal law enforcement.

Mark, would you see anything wrong with a Mythic tier 1 power enduring Shield, it works exactly the same as enduring armor except it changes the armor bonus to a shield bonus? I made this for casters who wear armor.

James,how does a devil become an infernal duke?

Mark this is a question on the Mounted combat line of feats. Would you think it would be ok to modify the Mounted combat line feats for Centaurs, Wemics or other quadraped races by removing the ride skill form the feat Preqeqs and having the feat tree work the same?

James, once a devil is created does he/she age? Are Devils immortal?

HI Mark, I want to make a higher level Haste Spell with 3 changes
the spell level would increase to 5th level the spell duration would increase to either minutes per level or Hours per level and in the text of the spell would change from a full attack action to an attack action
the rest of the spell would remain the same.

for a level 5 spell do you think that would be too powerful? What spell level do think would be right for the spell with the above changes?

James, would Pazio consider making a Book of Arcane Spells and Divine spells [2 separate books] that contained all released spells?

James, what would you think of a narrow hybrid of a slayer and Paladin of Ragatheil that removed the slayers sneak attack and replaced it with a power called Wrath that does 1d8 of divine damage like Flamestrike every other level. They hybrid class is only 10 levels. The Wrath power is only useable on studied targets.

James, does Pazio have plans to release Beasteraies 2-5 in the soft cover format?

James, would Pazio consider doing a yearly product that would give a yearly cannon advancement of the Golarian Timeline for those who might want to use it? I really think that it would be interesting. I understand why Pazio does not advance the timeline in modules and Ap's
for sales reasons but an alternate advancement of the time line would be fun.

On a different note would Pazio consider doing an AP that featured characters from the Pazio Fiction line?

James,what areas in Golarian does Horror Adventures take place in or is it setting neutral?

Mark, could Pazio make official rules for firearms constructed from special materials. Firearms made of mithril and adamantine should be more resistant to misfires and explosions from misfires.

In real life most misfires were caused by repeated reloads being fired at ounce. It has been found that muzzle loaded fire arms being fired in mass formations that sometimes an infantry man might not realize that he had not fired his weapon and continued to load it, until it misfired and exploded. The only misfires that I know of that were caused by material failure were in the civil war were caused by a unscrupulous contractor that produced muskets made of cheap metal that had a high misfire rate and repeatedly exploded killing many union troops.

Most material failures in modern fire arms are caused by hot loading bullets. putting more powder in a round than the weapons breach is rated for.

James, I've got a question on a Paladin traveling/adventuring with a inquisitor of Asmodeous that is Lawful evil [Inquisitor is now a unique Devil started out a a pit fiend bound but has been promoted and remade as
for various acts that he committed in the course of the game we are 16th level 2nd tier mythic] would the Paladin be in danger of losing his Paladin powers just because of his choice of traveling companions.

When The Inquisitor chooses to commit morally questionable [ as the Paladin might see them] acts he will send the Paladin to do something else to further the parties goals while he does what needs to be done.
Quite often the Inquisitor will remind the Paladin that acts he is considering are not things a Paladin should think of send the Paladin away and then do them himself as he does not have the same moral strictures as his friend the Paladin. The Paladins God knows that the two are traveling together as they have encountered an avatar of the Deity in the course of the game.

James on a side note, do Gods know what their clerics, paladins, Inquisitors and oracles do just by the fact that they grant them spells and other powers?

Would you see any thing wrong with Gloves of Fervor that counts his fervor power as 5 levels higher [Like the Bane Baldric] for 10000gp

Mark, would you think a Trickster 1st tier path ability that changed the sneak attack die type from a d6 to a d8 and at 3rd tier, 3 additional dice would be added to the sneak attack dice pool and at 6th tier the die type would be changed to a d10.

Mark, could you pitch a new slayer talent that would mirror the Inquisitor Solo tactics ability. There are many Teamwork Feats that would fit the slayer but most people would not buy because you have to have another player that agrees to buy them.

Mark in your opinion would adding Improved Evasion as an advanced slayer be ok? Is Pazio going to add more Slayer Talents?

Mark why does the garrote no inflict normal damage? Why does it not inflict sneak attack damage? A wire Garrote IN real life inflicts lethal damage, it both strangles and slices the throat of the victum.

The whole power struggle within the house GOP is that the Red state republicans are tired of being ruled by the blue state republicans who are spineless Rhinos who have no beliefs other than being reelected.

Why should the Republicans who are elected in majority republican states have to knucle under to blue state republicans who cry all the time that we can't win in our states if the House GOP advances Conservative plans to control spending rebuild the military and on the social side block the democratic gun grabbers and defund Planed Parenthood.

IMO the establishment republicans are gutless. In the Senate they have a weakling in charge. Mitch Mc Connell allows Harry Reid to run roughshod over him The Republicans are so feckless they allow the democrats to use the filibuster rule to block all regular order spending bills none have been passed in the last 8 years, all spending is approved by continuing resolution [which is the prior years budget + the rate of inflation insteasd of spending bills the proper way is to have each department of the federal government submit a budget have it debated and voted on by the committee of jurisdiction and then have amendments passed on the floor voted out of the senate and merged in a conference committee with the house and then sent to the president to sign or veto]

I am going to put forward a radical idea do away with the Senate and go to a unicameral House elected each four years the same election cycle of the President this in my Opinion would make the single remaining house more responsive to the people. if the people don't like the direction of the country they vote out the party in charge and move the country in a different direction. This would also allow for more parties to form change or disappear if they do not work the will of the people. Do away with the House of Lords in the US end the Senate!!

the correct answer to number 7 would be in the US for the Fed to raise the interest rate to slow inflation to slow price increases. The Fed could also tighten the money supply to cause less lending to bring down the rate of inflation by causing less economic activity.

Mark, does a inspired blade swasbuckler regain panache when he rolls a critical threat with his rapier when using his Parry and Reposite ability?

Mark could you talk to the rules team about making an unchained bear animal companion? Bears get shafted by the rules compared to big cats and dinosaurs. Bears should start at medium and go to large the same as big cats after all big bears are bigger than big cats. End bear discrimination now.

Mark could you put this version of HIPS through the errata porcess, it is from Legendary Rogue and the best written HIPS rule and I think it would end a bunch of argument on what HIPS does and does not do.

Mark, I would like you to purpose to the design team to replace two Slayer/Rogue talents with one. The Two are powerful sneak the greater powerful sneak. Both of them have been proven Mathematically not to be worth taking on the thread related to them on the board.
What I would like to replace them with is a talent that simply increases the die type form a d6 to a d8. I think that doing this in a single talent would not be over powered and be a slight boost to slayers and rogues with out over powering them.
