Kyle, at the bottom of your posts, you can choose who's posting. That way, if you have multiple Alias', you can use the correct one for each game.

Ok brother, question. You can answer this too SOFreyr obviously. Do you see any reason for me to get Hero Lab? I looked online and when it was recently updated (8 months ago I guess?) the guy on YouTube wasn't impressed because it lacked archetypes and everything else. I'm curious because I'd like to be able to play around and invent more characters easier and I'm not a fan of the free version I was already dealing with. I also wondered if this wouldn't make it easier for me and you to communicate back and forth my characters we already created. Let me know what you think. Also, is it a one time payment of 29.99 or is that a yearly thing or something? That would also help me make my decision.

Where do we sit with experience after the 2 battles my character has been through? 3 if you count the rat battle.

At her brothers mention about covering the fire, Talaledar will make an attempt to do the same.

Survival to cover fire:
Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Ok, now I'm curious. How do you know you missed? Did you enter the roll, Preview and see what you get and then make the story? Or is there something else that works?

I figured it out. Thanks though.

Not that I'm anywhere near this level yet but I want to check my understanding. At 10th level on a Magus, do I get to treat myself as a fighter for my class bonus also? Meaning that I'd immediately get the bonus that a 5th level fighter gets? Like for example, Could I name my blade that I'm supposed to be getting at 5th level my weapon training bonus that a fighter gets and then get a +1 on the attack rolls involving my sword?

Does it have to do with the fact that it is an ability? I had just figured that with me being in battle that this would become a natural thing to add to avoid AoO or any other deceitful thing the villainous hordes could throw at me. I guess that's part of the reason I got the combat casting, I was expecting to have to deal with this penalty every time I was in battle. Will that not be the case?

Thank you. That fixed it.

Game question, when my magus has to do a concentration check that would be a d20+spell level + Intelligence modifier + 4 for combat casting right?

So funny thing, I thought that you were actually posting at 3 AM some days until I just realized that my posts were also showing 3 AM. Where is this website based? Europe?

I don't believe you have used your Wood Armor yet today, so you may use it now. As a supernatural ability that doesn't specify otherwise, I'm going to rule that it requires a standard action and does not have verbal or somatic components. If you find something that contradicts that general ruling, I will be happy to correct it for future cases. That means that, on your turn, you will be able to conjure the wood armor. If you did so while following the goblins, you would lag behind as you would have to stop for a moment to concentrate, but that is not necessarily a concern.

You are right that the use of a supernatural ability is a Standard Action. I wanted to know for sure for when I GM as I wasn't possitive. So I went and looked it up.

My real question is actually regarding the components - does it require somatic or verbal components? I don't think so. I was fairly sure about the required time.

All it says online is that I can conjure the wood armor. Doesn't say somatic or verbal or anything else.

No need to change (yet). I know what powers would be beneficial later on but I will stick with what I originally planned. I want to see how the character plays straight up first.

Yes. He helped me make my character and on my text file I don't have any other spells listed.

Yes, I understand how many spells I'm supposed to have. I was wondering if he knew why I only had 2 chosen on my character page.

Hey brother, I think my magus character might not be made correctly. I was just looking at the facts and I think I'm supposed to have another spell in my first level spell list. Do you know why I only have two when online says I should have 3?

Also, I just read that the intelligence bonus should have given me some bonus level 1 spells.. Did we skip that for some reason?

So what is the plan? Are we starting over or are we going to continue in the building and have these two wander in? There is always the option of haVing us come out for some reason also if you so desire.

I will post here to update this to where we were when we played once or twice on fantasy grounds. We had entered the smaller place I believe and just cleared out the dining room. We were just finishing up searching I believe and we're considering going into the basement that we had found.

what do I have to roll to use my detect magic spell?

"I'm making an assumption. The tower may not but if they were living in this place, I would assume there is some underground compartment somewhere. Also, the smaller tracks seem headed toward the L and I'd rather take out the smaller creatures first, depending on what they are."

Look at that perfect 20.. I think I noticed the creatures lol.

As Talaledar begins her move, she immediately steps on 3 twigs before she's gone 2 steps.

Sorry for my delay in checking, was slightly distracted this weekend.

I was playing with the quotations. Not quite what I want. You must just be bolding your quotations huh?

Let me know if that is what you want.

I just was wondering how this would post.
