Female Aasimar

Hey everyone,

Things are returning to a normal pace, so you can expect to see me posting again with regularity... thanks for your patience!

Female Aasimar

Sorry for the prolonged absence everyone, first week and a half with the newborn and the end of semester has made timing tough!

I'll be back in full shortly though :)

Female Aasimar

I think everyone is still doing quite well for HP right now, and we need to see clearly, so Lisandra is going to use her racial daylight ability to counter all this bloody darkness.

"Assez!" Growing frustrated with the lack of vision, Lisandra decides to put an end to the darkness being caused by the Tieflings. Raising her left shield arm, she calls out "Accorde-nous la lumière , la miséricorde de jeune fille!" Suddenly, her shield grows with a beautiful light that seems to burn away the darkness.

Translation:
"Grant us light, maiden of mercy!

Transfer 5HP to Jokum, casting Daylight to counter the Tiefling darkness spells.

Female Aasimar

Sensing that her allies were holding their own, Lisandra nods at Voren's translation and moves to engage the Tiefling attack Karthak.

Since I think everyone is doing well at the moment, Lisandra will move to H11 and attack Tiefling #3 with her morningstar.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 1 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 61

Female Aasimar

Right, off course... forgot about that; I'm afraid that Lisandra's healing powers will be of no use to you in any form.

Female Aasimar

Assessing the situation, Lisandra decides it best to reinforce her companions rather than engage; lifting her arms upward, she whispers a prayer "La grâce de Sarenra vous guérir."

Celestial:
"May the grace of Sarenrae heal you."

Selective Channel: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 2) = 6

Crap roll, but Iavdi, Voren, Karthak and Jokum get 6HP, plus an additional 5HP for Jokum via Life Link

Female Aasimar

Can't wait until I can do ranged healing; until then, Life Link and Channel are always safe bets.

Realizing that she wouldn't be off much use in her current position, Lisandra draws morningstar and rushes towards the south end of the room, using her ears to guide her to near her companions position.

"Quel bordel!"

Unable to clearly make out her companions, she closes her eyes and concentrates on Jokum's life force, and creates a link with him the moment she locates him amongst the chaos.

Full move to H14, and Life Link with Jokum. From this position, I can hit just about everyone with an energy burst next round as well.

DM-Camris wrote:
It took about three rounds to take the door down. There might have been a round or two of healing somewhere in there as well.

In that case, Bless should still be up from the previous battle correct?

Watching the bolts suddenly start flying in, Lisandra realizes the danger has increased exponentially. Moving up behind Jokum, she quickly makes a prayer of healing.

Move to L10, cast Cure Wounds on Jokum... if Arthas was hit for any damage, she'll transfer 5 HP to him.

Cure Light Wounds on Jokum: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Female Aasimar

Just a quick question: How long did it take to break down the door? Bless lasts for four minutes at this level, so since the last combat took a few rounds, I'm thinking I don't need to refresh it just yet.

Moving quickly into the room, Lisandra takes a defensive position in the rear and awaits for the Tieflings to react.

Going to delay her action until after the tieflings go, unless Bless is down, at which point Lisandra will recast it.

Female Aasimar

Nodding as they discuss the fate of the two bodies, Lisandra finally adds "We should probably move the remains to one of these buildings, lest the carrion beasts get at them before we return."

Glancing at the fort, Lisandra adds somewhat hesitantly "I'm afraid I don't have any other ideas; siege warfare was never something I studied." Realizing herself somewhat useless to the task, Lisandra stands back as Karthak and Jokum get to work on the door.

Female Aasimar

Knowledge Religion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Observing the bodies of the fallen crusaders with abject pity, Lisandra turns to the others somewhat beside herself, though speaking normally once more "An awful fate if ever there was one; Sarenrae asks us to cleanse those bodies corrupted by demonic possession by cremation."

Glancing back at the corpses, Lisandra appears concerned "Of course, cremating them might bring attention to our position, unless..." looking around, Lisandra tries to discern if there are any fires already ongoing in the devastated area of Kenabres they are currently in.

Not sure if that is the right response, but having made the knowledge check, I thought I'd use some creative license. If there is a smouldering fire nearby, we can probably safely either move the bodies there or cremate them here since it won't be out of the ordinary.

Female Aasimar

Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

Quickly reacting to Voren's warning, Lisandra grabs her morningstar and moves to strike at the horrid Vermlek before it disappears.

"Ne le laissez pas sortir!

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 = 10
Damage, Cold Iron Morningstar: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Female Aasimar

Lisandra follows Iavdi; if Iavdi fails to take down Dretch 2, Lisandra will move in and attack.

Voren the Outsider wrote:
You know, I love how Lisandra is a more effective healer than Voren. No offense.

Oh, I didn't mean to step on any toes when joining this game Voren... Lisandra was built exclusively as full divine healer, she really can't do much else.

Dakota Bloomingdale wrote:
If I remember correctly, Life Link only works if the linked subject is hurt for 5 or more hps. I'm at work now so I can't check it right away.

Actually, I think you're right Dakota now that I've scanned it over; I had just assumed it kept going, but I guess it stops short of fully healing a player.

Female Aasimar

As Arthas heals, the life link slows as Lisandra steps forward; realizing that her own energy had been depleted, she resolved to tend to herself.

Crossing her arms across her chest and resting her hands on her shoulders, Lisandra bows her head and quietly prays to Sarenrae. As does so, a soothing gold energy seems to envelop her for a brief moment.

Action: Transfer 4 HP to Arthas topping him to full, move to M9, cast Cure Moderate Wounds on self.

Cure Spell: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (2, 8) + 4 = 14 restored to Lisandra, bringing her back up to full health as well.

DM-Camris wrote:
In days past, one of the things about demons that made them dangerous was that you could never tell whether or not you would have to fight one, or two, or a dozen of his little buddies as well.

I run a Planescape game with my table top group, and evil outsiders are a regular feature; while the summoning restriction is correct, demons usually summon more than one at a time... usually some random amount based on a die roll, so it kinda makes up for that somewhat.

Actually, you specifically have to choose which type of channeling you're doing, healing the living or harming the undead.

You can't do both at the same time anymore.

Right, of course that is true.

Female Aasimar
Arthas Sword of Ragathiel wrote:
That life link is bad ass

Yeah, it's definitely one of the better revelations Life Oracle's receive... since Arthas is kinda the main meat shield of the group, I'll probably keep Life Link up for the foreseeable future. I'll need to top myself up shortly, but that is one of things Energy Body is really good for.

Jokum of the Breakbones wrote:
Doing fine so far, though those dretches worry me. (And these are just the door guards...)

Nothing that can't be fixed with a good channel energy should the group start taking some hits :)

Speaking of channeling, the Vermleks have negative energy affinity don't they? I should just indiscriminately heal with channel... because what cures us hurts them (although it would cure the Dretch's if I did that)

Female Aasimar

Making a quick symbolic gesture, Lisandra murmurers quietly in celestial "Par ta grâce, me tenir à l'abri des horreurs de l'enfer." Suddenly, Lisandra appears to almost to shimmer lightly but for a second.

Moving quickly, she finds a safe place in the rear of the party, and holds steady.

Casting Sanctuary, and then moving to M10. From that spot, I can reach pretty much everybody with channel energy should we take any hits this round. Also, Arthas is up another 5HP with transfer.

Female Aasimar

Knowledge Planes: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Shaking her head in revulsion, Lisandra blurts out "Arrêter, vite!" As the demonic worms disappears out of sight, she curses under her breath to herself.

Grabbing her wand, Lisandra uses it to cure herself while transferring more of her life force to Arthas.

CLW Wand on self: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Staying put, transferring 5HP and casting CLW on herself

Female Aasimar

If Arthas is the first to take the front-line (the tank if you will), I'll probably just leave the Life Link active at all times moving forward. Can't wait to get the ranged healing power from Heirophant, that'll help boat loads when fighting large creatures with reach.

As an aside, is Karthak at 12/39 HP? Did I miss something, or was that just from an earlier battle?

Female Aasimar

Posting out of turn here, but Lisandra's actions won't impact anyone else.

Moving right, Lisandra observes from the corner of her eye that Arthas appeared to be taking the brunt of the demons fury. Leaning up against the wall of the ruined building to the west, she closes her eyes and says a quick prayer "Sarenrae, laissez-moi part de sa douleur."

As soon as she completes the incantation, she winces as though in pain.

Moving to O10, and forming a Life Link with Arthas. He's immediately healed for 5HP, and Lisandra takes 5HP; this can be repeated every round.

Female Aasimar

Watching as the others surge forward, Lisandra holds out her hand concernedly at yells "Attendez! Resolving to catch up, Lisandra moves quickly and lightly on her feet, chanting quietly as she moved "Ses lumière et la grâce des restaurations..." As she spoke the incantation, a golden energy with the appearance of fire seems to materialize around her hands; halting, she throws her arms out forcing the energy to pulse from her hands outward, finding its way to Arthas and Dakota.

Round 2
Standard move to L11
Selective Channel: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 2) = 10 hit points restored to Arthas and Dakota

Female Aasimar

Sounds good, we'll wait until that moment to make the change then. Will post tonight, but Lisandra will probably shore up Dakota and Arthas with a healing Energy Burst.

Female Aasimar

You know, aside from the humor of having two Oracle's with the tongues curse... I was thinking that it might be better if Lisandra went with something different, since it seems repetitive for us both her and Iavdi to have the same curse; I didn't realize the Iavdi had it as well, and I'd likely have opted for something else had I known.

Camris, if you and the other players don't see it to be too much trouble to retcon a bit, I was think of either going with Haunted (a close 2nd in terms of not too much impact on game play), or going the distance and trying something truly role-play centric like Clouded Vision or Deafness (which does have some serious impact, but provides lots of RP opportunities; would lean towards deafness)

That said, if it's too much trouble, we can leave it as is and have a comedy of languages being spoken during combat XD

Female Aasimar

Good point, forgot about that. Just omit the first part then, I'll keep that in mind next time.

Female Aasimar

Glancing at Arthas somewhat nervously, Lisandra nods and adds "Ils viennent à nous, bien sûr."

Celestial:
"Let them come to us, of course"

Moving lightly on her feet to behind Arthas and Iavdi (L14), Lisandra grabs her crossbow, takes aim and fires at the bloated monstrosity farthest to the west.

Light Crossbow, range penalty: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 - 2 = 3

Somewhat flustered at the thought of battle, Lisandra improperly loads her crossbow and causes it to jam. "Pour l'amour du ciel!"

Alright! Fumble right out of the gate! I supppose Lisandra is a lover, not a fighter :P

Female Aasimar

On the following morning, Lisandra spends her time preparing and packing her gear for the upcoming challenges. She ensures that her scrolls and medic gear is in convenient and easy to reach place, and neatly packs the rest.

Touring the devastation, Lisandra appears sullen for the first time ever. My home is in ruins, these are dark days. Her worst fears are confirmed by Voren, as he identifies one of the monstrosities as Hulrun "My god, what an awful fate. Who was the other one?"

Glancing over at Iavdi with a quizzical look, Lisandra inquires somewhat confoundedly "Come again? Positive energy harms you? I'm glad you told me that Iavdi; luckily, I've learned to control the delivering of my healing to those of my choice."

In other words, she has selective channeling for up to five targets, so no need to worry about burst healing from me Iavdi.

Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

Raising her arms aloft, Lisandra begins to chant in celestial "Sarenrae, accorder votre grâce."

Hopefully my french makes sense... casting bless.

Female Aasimar

Sorry, all this talk of badgers reminded me of Weird Al's movie UHF, specifically this scene:

We don't need no stinking badgers!

Female Aasimar

Crafter cohorts aren't really all that necessary with Mythic. My tabletop Planescape game is mythic; the Magus in the group took Crafting Mastery, and basically builds what the players need... besides, I designed their cohorts anyway XD

I suppose if I could make a cohort for Lisandra, it'd probably be some kind of meat shield to protect her; she is kinda squishy in hindsight.

Female Aasimar
lavdi wrote:
Also, how do people feel about Leadership?

Normally I'm for it (and Lisandra would benefit the most from it with 20 Chr), but in a group this size, it could get messy with all those cohorts about.

Female Aasimar
Voren the Outsider wrote:
Yeah, the three Hierophants might be odd. But, it could work depending on the abilities we take. Some might wind up...

I wouldn't worry too much about that; Lisandra will be taking strictly healer based abilities, whereas I suspect you and Iavdi will be mixing it up more. Her first ability will Faith's Reach, which will turn all her cure spells into 30' range spells, which will help her to heal in a more versatile manner as per the Reach feat. Lisandra won't be dabbling in other paths, she is pretty much a straight up Divine character.

Female Aasimar

Speaking of feats Camris, are you at all opposed to the Divine Protection feat? It's from the ACG, and would go a long way to help toughen Lisandra up at 5th level, but some GM's aren't crazy about it.

Female Aasimar

With a light smile and a gentle laugh, Lisandra quickly responds "Arthas is right Voren, actions are so much more important than appearances," pausing, Lisandra seems to grow more reflective as she adds "and no need to apologize, remember it is I that sought you out after watching seeing your work in the infirmary these past few days."

Running a few paces ahead, Lisandra spins around and points at her escorts with a sly grin and a wink "Speaking of the infirmary, you two lollygaggers are slowing me down, so... pick up the pace will you? Folks in this town need our help after all." Turning on her heals, Lisandra takes off in the direction of the infirmary.

Female Aasimar

Looking up at the stars, Lisandra smiles serenely as Arthas describes his experiences with healing "Reminds us of our vulnerabilities, yes, that is a good way to look at it." Holding her own hand towards the sky, it almost seems to shimmer with positive energy as she adds "Healing has been my life's work, but it's times like this that we are tested; it can be hard to witness such horrors, because whether the highest lord, a simple smith or a child, war and death seem to make little differentiation."

Growing reflective, Lisandra looks to Arthas "I remember your standard bearer, he faced death bravely you should know," pausing, Lisandra seemed to amused by something she was reminiscing "but an angel with eyes like fire? Actually, he did say something to that effect now that you mention it."

Female Aasimar

Crossing her arms, Lisandra looks to the window that faces the general direction of the wardstone. "Tragic that something that was once so indispensable to Kenabres is now it's greatest weakness." Shaking her head, Lisandra looks resolute as she addresses Quednys and Irabeth "So be it; as we healers sometimes you have to sever a gangrenous appendage to save the patient, so too must the wardstone go for the safety of Kenabres. Tomorrow at noon then."

Glancing over at Arthas as he heads out the door, Lisandra nods her head before taking off after him "Right then; Arthas wait! I'll join you; many hands makes light work of even the most difficult of tasks." Once beside him, she grins mischievously and adds with a wink "Besides, tending the wounded was exactly what I was doing up until about, oh, I'd say about twenty minutes ago, before I met you and your company, and was summarily recruited into some grand scheme or another."

Female Aasimar

Her attention drawn to the scale, Lisandra studies it closely a moment as she listens to Voren respond to the Dakota; it had come into her possession at a most tragic moment, but she couldn't deny now that there may have been some design to that.

"It would appear we were all meant to have these, and perhaps are bound to one another in some fashion as such." Glancing up from the scale, Lisandra smiles whimsically and adds "What that might mean, well that remains to be seen."

Looking over towards Arthas, Karthak and Jokum, Lisandra suddenly appears somewhat more sombre yet confident "If this be fate, then allow me to make myself useful to your cause; I don't have the strength of arm you gentlemen have, but my restorative powers are unmatched." Suddenly growing uncharacteristically sheepish, Lisandra blushes "I-I should warn you though, I tend to, well, when I get stressed that is, my tongue runs away on me, and I start speaking... um, celestial," pausing after blurting it out, Lisandra straightens herself in her seat and adds clearly and more confidentially "celestial, I speak celestial when I get stressed, or at least, that's what a linguist told me it was once. Hope that won't be an issue. I'll understand if it is though, demons don't tend to like hearing that dialect, and I'm guessing we'll be seeing a few of them in the future."

Female Aasimar

Sorry, Easter weekend family stuff kept me away from my computer the last day or so... kinda feel like I missed the PbP introduction bus here though in that time; can't think of a natural way to re-inject myself into the conversation, but here goes.

"It's always nice to meet a fellow healer Voren." Sensing his discomfort, Lisandra does her best to Voren at ease as she takes his attention of her, and nods towards his companions "Friends of yours? Looking at Voren's friends, Lisandra tried to place whether she had seen any of them before. She recognized the bubbly young human girl, she was hard to miss in a room.

Glancing back at Voren quickly, Lisandra motioned towards the Inn "Why don't we get a drink, you can introduce me to your friends." Without waiting an answer, Lisandra starts towards their destination.

Female Aasimar

Sorry, first chance I've had all day. For introduction purposes, Lisandra is assumed to have been helping the injured in the Defender's Heart, and will have noticed Voren doing the same. I also goofed and posted with the wrong alias! Aah!

Since the attack, Lisandra had filled her time by aiding the injured and doing her best to keep the citizens of Kenabres at ease. Having been a fairly visible practitioner of the healing arts, she was well known to the her fellow citizens, and was well received in part to her magnetic personality and exceptional bedside manner.

The attack had been fast, vicious and chaotic, which made her job an exhausting one. When the makeshift infirmary in the Defender's heart was initially overrun, the stress had caused Lisandra to slip into a distinctly angelic dialect that most of her fellow citizens couldn't understand; it was an embarrassing flaw, but a manageable one, and as flaws go, it was an endearing one to many in Kenabres.

Things had begun to calm down, namely due to the fact that there were others with the ability to heal helping out. One in particular caught her eye, a tall man with what she could only guess was some kind of demonic lineage, a tiefling perhaps? Lisandra was always uneasy around their kind, though she was never entirely certain why.

Smiling at the young patient before her, she nods and whispers "You're going to be just fine now. Listen, I want to go say hello to that man over there, but I'll be back to check on you... promise." Standing up, she cleaned her hands off on a wet rag and pulled the tie holding her hair back. Lisandra made the decision to chase after the tiefling healer, namely to thank him for his help. Finally catching up to him, he appeared to be conversing with a dwarf, a halfling girl and a pale human woman who appeared to be a combatant of some kind. Lisandra took a deep breath before gently putting her hand on his shoulder and drawing his attention away from the dwarf he was speaking with "Excuse me, I don't mean to interrupt, but I just wanted to thank-you for your help here... I've been swamped, and you clearly have a talent for the healing arts." Smiling gently, Lisandra holds out her hand "I'm Lisandra, Lisandra Elsinore."

Appearance:
Lisandra is of moderate height and slender build, though she is nevertheless more athletic than she appears. While signs of her celestial heritage include fine shoulder length silver hair, and dark crimson red eyes, she otherwise appears as a beautiful human girl in her early twenties.

She typically wears her hair up in a ponytail, mostly to keep it from her eyes when she is working. Whilst adventuring, she opts for rugged clothing, including thigh high boots of soft dark red leather, form fitting breeches of light grey, and a white leather jacket with red accents over a light mithril chain shirt.

Female Aasimar

Greetings gentlemen, your healbot is checking in. I'll wrap up the loose ends on character design this afternoon or evening, but I just wanted to say thanks for the invite!

Curse has been updated, and aside from some purchases and spell selection, the character is done.

Just realized I posted to the wrong alias... I'll switch the 3PP curse out tonight.

Voren the Outsider wrote:

@Lisandra

Your build is very nice. I'm a bit iffy on the 3pp curse. But it fits. It would be interesting to see how your aasimar oracle healer reacts to my tiefling witch healer. Especially with her opinions on tieflings.

Thanks Voren; I had a pretty clear intent on making a healer when I designed this character, and I think this one works well.

As to the 3PP Merciful Curse, I can swap it out if that's an issue - I had selected it because thematically it suited the character better than the official options (it also bolstered her healing options), but I could make some of the others work as well.

Stats have been adjusted, need to roll some HP:

1: 1d8 ⇒ 1
2: 1d8 ⇒ 2
3: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Reroll of #1,2
1: 1d8 ⇒ 4
2: 1d8 ⇒ 1

2: 1d8 ⇒ 2

Total: 8+5+6 (19)

I've have Lisandra Elsinore, an aasimar Oracle of Life I had made for a WotR game that didn't get in. Her stats will need to be adjusted (it was a high powered stat generation), but she is otherwise ready to go.

The background is on the above link, the specific crunch can be found here.

No heirophants? Oh well, disappointed... nevertheless, congratulations to the successful applicants. Happy trails and good demon hunting.

Zirul Huntinghawk wrote:
But as far as races go, if you are playing a female character going Aasimar, then that is just hot, even if you are male behind that screen.

Speaking as one of those, wow, is there ever a lot of that in the heirophant category... competition will be thick.

Oh yeah, one thing I wanted to do (but forgot) was to roll for alternate powers:

1d100 ⇒ 94 - Speak with animals
1d100 ⇒ 90 - Add an additional +2 Charisma
1d100 ⇒ 67 - Add +2 to sense motive

Sooo yeah, I'll go with door number two if that is cool with you Salsa? That really helps for an Oracle actually. If not, I'll just let sleeping dogs be and stick with the basic aasimar.

That pretty much covers it. I'll write out a description later this weekend, but the reference image below pretty is what I had in mind anyway. This character has loads of healing power, and will be using the aasimar oracle favored class bonus to further bolster her channel energy.

Background:
Lisandra was born to Arryn and Valerie Elsinore in the city of Kenabres sometime during the 4th Crusader; she is the youngest of three children, with two older brothers named Edgar and Wilem. The Elsinore clan is a widely known for being devout, almost fanatical followers of Sarenrae. The family grew to prominence during the 3rd Crusade, as Lisandra's Grandfather Garet Elsinore famously led a series of inquisitions that resulted in the execution of many suspected witches and agent provocateurs. Though Garet was steadfast in the righteousness of his deeds, some scholars debate whether the inquisitions were moral or effective. Tragically, or fortunately depending on a person's point of view, Garet himself was betrayed by forces within the Mendevian crusades, and was assassinated when Lisandra's father Arryn was still a young boy. Though Arryn remained sa devout disciple of Sarenrae, being raised by his mother allowed for a more balanced outlook than that of his father.

Arryn himself had become a renown hero of the crusades, having led several successful campaigns into the Worldwound, though the crusades themselves were a failure. During one such raid, he rescued Valerie Warden, a woman of untold serenity whom appeared to be of celestial descent. They fell in love, and were married with children in short order. Arryn settled into a more relaxed and happy way of life, though he trained his children for their eventual service to Sarenrae. As such, Lisandra received combat training alongside her older brothers from a young age. Though she was physically smaller than her brothers, she kept pace with them and showed some martial ability in spite of the fact she detested violence. Ultimately, Lisandra showed a far more promising talent for channeling the divine and healing as she entered late adolescence, her very physical being seemingly brimming with positive energy. Her true gift for healing had clearly descended from her mother, who recognized that her child was manifesting great celestial powers. From that point forward, Lisandra was trained to harness her natural talents, and in time became a sought after healer and medic in Kenabres.

Presently, Lisandra lives a peaceful and relatively happy life in Kenabres, rendering medical and divine healing services at various temples and hospitals within the city. Though not officially associated with the Church of Sarenrae, she is a devout follower of the Dawnflower, and regularly worships in her many temples.

Personality:
The young healer appears mostly in good spirits, rarely without a smile or kind word for the people of Kenabres. She is optimistic, and given to allowing herself to enjoy life and all it has to offer as a defiance to the tyranny and misery the Demons would like to exact on the people of Golarion. Though she is more open and accepting of other races than her siblings, she sometimes has to fight off leering suspicions when around Tieflings or others with clearly some demonic heritage.

Merciful Curse:
If a non-enemy character who is adjacent asks you to heal them, or asks you for help and you can tell they have taken damage or drain or suffer from a disease or poison, you must help them on your next tum. If they have a condition or suffer from a poison or disease that you can neutralize or cure with any ability you possess or any spell you can cast, you must do so as your next action. Otherwise, if they have taken any damage, you must cast a spell or use an ability that heals hit points. Also, you cannot perform a coup de grace. You gain the ability to lay on hands, as the paladin ability, using your curse level as your paladin level.

At 5th level, you gain a mercy, as the paladin ability.

At 10th level, you gain a second mercy, and can exchange your first mercy for a different one.

At 15th level, you gain a third mercy, and can exchange one of your existing mercies for a different one.

Mythic Path:
Lisandra will be selecting the Hierophant mythic pathway; no plans for multi-classing, pretty much straight Oracle.

RP Sample:
The infirmary doors flew open with a sudden bang, soldiers pouring in with wounded comrades slung over their shoulders, or carried on makeshift gurneys. The band of knights carried the banner of some knightly order or another, but it was tattered and blood stained; if they were fresh recruits, they were blooded and fresh no more.

Amidst the chaos, a lovely silver haired girl glided about, triaging all wounded in a methodical but not unkindly manner ”Put this young man over there, and move this stretcher to the corner, I’ll tend to him in a moment.” Before moving onto the next casualty, the young medic paused and stopped the stretcher she had just sent away to talk to a clearly frightened young man ”Listen, everything will be fine, okay? We’ll take good care of you here.” Her bedside manner was impeccable; the boy’s fate was uncertain, but he seemed to relax at her soothing voice and assured demeanor.

Suddenly, a hulking ulfen man in fullplate armor thundered into the infirmary. Though he was barking at various soldiers in his native tongue, it was clear to the silver haired girl that he was in charge. Suddenly, one of the soldiers pointed her out to the commanding officer, and he nodded as he barreled towards her. He was a giant of man, over a foot taller than she was, but the girl appeared undeterred by his intimidating presence. He appeared impatient, agitated and above all… angry ”You there, girl, you’re in charge here? Your name?” The last question appeared more a command than a request.

”Lisandra. How can I help you Commander?” She was cool and diplomatic under pressure, and clearly had plenty experience dealing with military types. The commander had obviously suffered a defeat, or at the very least a setback out in the Worldwound. Appearing somewhat mollified by her response, he relaxed slightly and gave a quick report to her ”Our battalion was ambushed by vulture demons, cut us to shreds.”

Lisandra interjected, feeling it necessary to educate the commander before letting him continue ”Vrock. Frightening demons; their spores will grow into vines that can strangle a full-grown man. We’ll have to purify your soldiers, just to be safe.” The ulfen man initially appeared annoyed at having been interrupted, but his attitude quickly changed when he realized the gravity of the situation ”Aye, spores; purification you say? Aye, if that's what you think." He appeared unsure of himself, and shook his head to clear his mind "Anyway, this is just the first wave of injured I’m afraid, you can expect dozens more.” Looking over towards his men, he stroked his beard and appeared pensive and distracted ”Can you handle his many younf lady?”

Lisandra smiled, and placed a hand gently on his arm to regain his attention ”We can commander. Trust me when I say that healing the injured is my gift from the Dawnflower; your men will live to fight another day if I have anything to say about it.” Something about the girl's confidence put the commander at ease, and he smiled ever so slightly, probably for the first time in weeks.

Seemingly, it was she who was in charge now; Lisandra smiled assuredly while pointing towards the wall ”Now commander, go sit over on that bench. Your injuries are minor, so you’ll just have to wait awhile.”

Okay, so the crunch is more or less finished... background and other details to follow in the next few days.

One question Salsa - I opted for the Merciful curse for Oracles, but realized it was 3PP after the fact. If that is a problem, I'll take the the Haunted curse, but I though that the merciful one would be more thematic.

Edit: I'll also be opting for the Aasimar favored class bonus which adds +1/2 to the oracle's level for the purpose of determining the effects of one revelation, obviously good for channel energy.
