"Jhod could be the Priest involved. He is both popular with the local people and a cleric of Erastil. I know he would be happy to do so."

"We need a ceremony!" Linzi immediately speaks up.
"Pyros was made nobility by Lady Jamandi's hand. I think that he js the power to do the same for Faerin."

"What? Still?"

"I wonder -- was this invasion caused by the curse? I mean, the curse must be ancient and ominous. The spiders were scary, but not ancient and ominous."

As you are talking to him, Linzi comes running back with a stuffed backpack and spills the contents on the table. She has apparently been collecting odd items along your journey. collected on the table are a strange assortmenty of ancient coins, strange leafy tokens, old talismans, and old pieces of armor and weapons.

"Here! These are things that looked liked junk to everyone, but I could sense they had stories behind them."
Linzi exclaims breathlessly.

Linzi, at first looking crushed by the Storyteller's initial refusal. Suddenly brightens again with his new offer.

"Deal!!"
She then blushes and looks at Pyros.
"I mean if the Baron agrees of course." She adds sheepishly.

"I have a few interesting things we have collected so far, I will get them for you!"
With that Linzi rushes off.

Linzi can barelt contain herself. She is almost vibrating visibly.
"Oh!! I would just LOVE to trade stories with you!"

Linzi acts startled.
"How did he know it was you?! I thought he was blind."

"After you decide what to do with those projects, you MUST meet the blind Elf that is here! He looks ancient! I've never heard of an Elf looking aged like he is. He is so cryptic, he hasn't talked about himself to anyone yet."

Linzi leans over to whisper in Regongar's ear.
"It is still bothering me, but he is very familiar. I know that I should be able to place him."

"I suppose if Drelev spilled his drink on himself, it would be funny. Just make sure you aren't too obvious that it was you." Linzi replies with a smirk.

Linzi looks askance at Reg.
"It would be very bad to pull anything like that with Lady Surtova!" Linzi says in a shcked tone.
"She is probably the most powerful person the room and I don't think she will much of a sense of humor. As for Drelev, I don;t like him, and I would love to see him knocked down a ped, but he is a guest of Lady Jamandi and it would speak ill of us to ruin her party."

I just perused everyone's characters and I see that those knowledge skills are lacking except for Pyros. Fortunately, you have Linzi along.

Linzi is practically prancing. She is very excited.

"Oh look! Over there!" She points to a small group that seems to be centered around a middle aged woman in very fine clothing.
"That's Natala Surtova!! It's amazing that she has come down here for this celebration!"

Linzi then points to another group on the near side of the room.
That's Count Hannis Drelev. He is not a nice man." Linzi adds with a frown.
"I heard that Jamandi sent him to claim the Glenebon region."

She then points out a tall man on the far side of the room.
"That's Maegar Varn. He's a somewhat famous mercenary captain. His company has a pretty good reputation. I wonder why he is here?"

You notice a man sitting at the end of the table keeping to himself. He is dressed in obviously expensive finery, yet has no entourage. You catch him glancing at you from time to time. When you point him out to Linzi, her face scrunhes up in concentration, but she shaes her head.
"He looks familiar to me, but I don't know who he is."

You also notice a man in a simple robe with a golden symbol of Erastil. You recognize him as the man that stood with Jamandi against the frost giant on the night of the attack on her mansion.

Most of the rest are Restove locals here for the celebration.

I think we had decided that Pyros was getting the title of Baron, if so, let me know who you want to talk to. Again, sorry for disappearing.

@ Reg:

Linzi listens to you with rapt attention, busily scrawling in her notebook. She squeals with delight at Fury.
"It's so unfair that I wasn't there!! How am I supposed to write my epic if I'm left behind? Next time I'm going!"

You know, you aren't nearly as scary as you seemed at first."

"All of these are minor healing potions" Linzi indicates several potions.
"These four I couldn't identify, but they are also conjuration magic"
She holds up the last vial, "This potion will cure blindness"

"I'm not sure about this one." She points to one of the potions, "But these other four are all healing potions. This last one... she indicates the potion the leader had, "...is more potent than the rest."

Linzi, having no more spells, shoots her crossbow at the other archer.

att v archer: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
confirm crit: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
so close
damage vs archer: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Surprising even herself, she hits.

Seeing Ha;den take a serious blow, Linzi casts a spell and then moves up behind him and touches him.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Linzi begins shouting encouragements and extolling your valor.
Inspire Courage, everyone has +1 to hit and damage.

"They are killing everyone!" Linzi says breathlessly.
"I was up because I was too excited to sleep and working on my book. That guy burst into my room so I ran. I saw that you had been in the side area, so I hoped that they hadn't gotten here yet. I got these from a dead guard."

She holds up a key ring, which includes a skeleton key that opens all of the guest doors.

Teryll, you are rudely awakened by some violent shaking.

"Please! Wake up! We are being attacked by assassins!"

A small Halfling girl. who you vaguely remember seeing in the meeting hall earlier this evening, jumps back as your eyes open. She is disheveled and appears frightened.

"Get up, get up! They were following me here!"

As you sit up you also notice that the door to your room, which you are certain that you locked, is slightly open.
